ROCKY ROAD

Hey guys, i hope you are all having an amazing day whatever you are up to! Just recently the dessert of choice for me has to be Rocky Road, it is just so yummy. Seeing as i haven't done a "baking post" in the longest time, i thought it was about time to share one with you all. This has to be probably one of the most simple desserts you could make...

Ingredients:

150g butter
350g dark chocolate
4tbsp golden syrup
250g (cookie or biscuit of your choice, i used shortbread)
150g marshmallows
icing sugar for dusting

Method:

Melt the butter, golden syrup and chocolate all together in a pan on a low heat. Next you are going to want to smash the cookies or biscuit of your choice up in a bag with a rolling pin, making sure you still have quiet large chunks of biscuit left as well as crumbs. Pour the crushed cookies or biscuits into your gorgeous melted chocolate goodness along with the marshmallows and stir the mixture together well, so everything is coated in chocolate. Next pour your mixture into a tin (i lined mine with baking parchment) smooth the mixture out and pop it in the fridge to set, for best results leave in the fridge overnight. Once the Rocky Road is set using your icing sugar to dust over the top and then all is left to do is cut into bars and enjoy!

I hope you all have an amazing weekend!
