GRWM: L'OREAL STUDIO/PRO SLEEK STRAIGHT HAIR & GOLDEN BRONZE FRESH GLOWING MAKEUP

Hello Everyone! For today's post i thought i would share with you this golden bronze look i am loving right now, which is perfect for the warmer months as it looks super fresh and glowing. In my April favourites post i forgot to mention a couple of hair products i have been obsessing over the past month, so i thought i would incorporate them into this post making it a GRWM type of post...

So this is the look i came up with, like i said above it's a super fresh glowing golden bronze look and shock horror another nude lip ha ha (i'd say i'm sorry but i just love me a nude lip).

Base:
Rimmel Good To Glow Liquid Highlighter in the shade Notting Hill Glow
NYX Stay Matte But Not Flat Foundation in the shade Nude
Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer in the shade Light
NYX HD Studio Finishing Powder in the shade Transparent
Rimmel Kate Sculpting Palette in the shade Coral Glow
(i only used the middle contour sculpter shade to bronze up the skin)
Benefit Blush in the shade Rockateur
Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit Highlighter Palette in the shade Sunburst
(mixed with)
Zoeva Rose Golden Blush Palette in the shade Glowing Still

Brows, Eyes & Lips:
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade in the shade Dark Brown
L'Oreal Brow Artist Plumper in the shade Medium/Dark
Maybelline Color Tattoo Creamy Mattes in the shade Créme De Nude
MAC Eyeshadow in the shade Kid
Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit Highlighter Palette (used as eyeshadow)
(shades used: dripping in gold & golden bronze)
L'Oreal Color Riche Eyeshadow in the shade Little Beige Dress (inner corner)
Maybelline The Falsies Push-Up Drama Mascara in the shade Black
Ardell Demi Wispies Lashes
Makeup Revolution Awemone Felt Eyeliner in the shade Black
Maybelline Master Drama The Nudes Eyeliner Pencil in the shade Brownie Glitz
NYX Lip Liner in the shade Beige
NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in the shade Lace Detail
L'Oreal Infallible Mega Gloss in the shade Protest Queen

So moving on to the part where before doing the makeup, i got my hair all sleek and straight, because my natural hair is very wavy almost curly which i hate and it doesn't look cute. First of all i start off by shampooing my hair using the Renewing Argan Oil Shampoo by OGX, this is going to get your hair all clean restoring it's shine and softness whilst removing product build up. Then i am going to take this L'Oreal Elvive Full Restore 60 Second Saviour which acts as a conditioner and this is the product that has become a favourite this month. This product is insane as your hair can be fully restored left feeling super soft and hydrated all in 60 seconds, it isn't one of those products you have to leave in for a longer time it is that instant.

Once my hair is all clean and freshly washed, it's time to move on to the styling part where i achieve the super sleek straight hair. I usually like to leave my hair to dry for a little while in my towel for around half an hour or so, then before drying i apply this beauty of a product (which is another favourite of the month) the L'Oreal Studio Pro Sleek It Utra Smoothing Cream. This product is designed to control frizz, protect again heat and lock in straight hair for upto 96 hours which actually works. Another side note about this product is it smells so so so good! Once my hair is dry it's time to move onto straightening with my GHD's but before doing so i spray some of this TRESemmé Runway Collection Get Sleek Glossy Heat Protection spray into sectioned hair. Once completely straight it's time to use some finishing products, my favourites are the Batiste Stylist Texturizing Spray and the L'Oreal Studio Pro Lock It Fixing Hairspray to get rid of any fly away hairs.

APRIL BEAUTY FAVOURITES

Hello Everyone! So in a few days time (Sunday to be precise) it will be another new month, i can't believe we will almost be half way through the year already it is just flying by. Saying that this only means one thing, it's beauty favourites time again and so many things have been loved throughout April...

Urban Decay Naked 3 Eyeshadow Palette -
Being completely honest this is one of those palette's that i thought i would reach for more, but i don't tend to for some strange reason. Saying that this month i have been reaching for it a lot more, as i am loving wearing a lot of pink/mauve looks. The shades in particular i have been reaching for are two matte shades called limit and nooner.

Topshop Everything Stick in the shade Naive -
This is one of those cool multiple use products as the title suggests but my favourite way to wear it is as a blush, it is simply the most beautiful natural looking pink. As it is a cream product it gives off a really fresh looking flush of colour to the cheeks and it is a twist up stick, rather than one that you have to sharpen which is handy for travel.

NYX Baked Blush in the shade Spanish Pink -
I have been using these blushes a ton this month, as at the beginning i purchased six of the shades from the range. They are such a beautiful product that can be used dry for a natural glowing blush to the cheeks or with a wet brush sprayed with setting spray for a more intense appearance.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in the shade That Glow -
This highlight palette has been on the top of my to buy list for so long, so naturally when it was available to pre-order on BeautyBay i had to get it. I was not disappointed when it arrived they are just as amazing as all of the other ABH products i have already tried and love. By far my favourite shade in the palette is Sunburst, it's stunning!

Maybelline Dream Velvet Foundation in the shade Nude -
I was intrigued to try this foundation as i had heard quite a few good things about it and to be honest i can see why, this literally feels like nothing on the skin but you still get pretty amazing coverage. The consistency is fairly thick compared to some other lightweight foundations but it is still super easy to apply and blends out flawlessly.

NYX Stay Matte But Not Flat Foundation in the shade Nude -
I didn't expect for me to love this foundation as much as i do for some reason, this foundation is crazy full coverage on me but still feels like skin. As the title says "stay matte but not flat" that is the perfect name as it does give you the most natural glow without looking too shiny. The only disappointing thing about this product is the shading it quite poor as this is only the second lightest shade and it is fairly dark considering so i do have to wear it when i have tan on.

NYX HD Studio Finishing Powder in the shade Transparent -
This is a product i got highly recommended to try from a friend, as she swears by it. I was a little hesitant to try it as i am not the biggest fan of loose powder, i would much sooner opt for a pressed powder but i really really like this one and specifically the finish it leaves to the skin. I am intrigued to see if the pressed version is just as good!

Rimmel Kate Sculpting Palette in the shade Coral Glow -
This is a product i mentioned in my recent "face friday" post and i said how amazing i thought it was from the first try. The blush is probably my favourite shade out of the three parts but the highlight shade is crazy pigmented for a drugstore product. Check out the face friday post here:
http://katiebeautyshake.blogspot.co.uk/2016/04/face-friday-trying-out-new-drugstore.html

Maybelline Master Drama Eyeliner Pencils in the shades
Brownie Glitz, Rose Pearl & Ultra Black -
These have to be hands down my favourite eye liners of the month and that says a lot, as i usually always opt for my Rimmel Scandal Eyes one in Black. These pencils are just super pigmented, creamy and long lasting, they don't budge a whole lot but they do smudge a little but i think that is more down to the fact i can get super watery eyes.

L'Oreal Brow Artist Plumper in the shade Medium/Dark -
I had mentioned how i have been wanting to try this for the longest time but every single time i went into a boots or superdrug store they only ever had the blonde shade available. Finally i managed to get my hands on one and i haven't picked another brow gel since, this stuff is basically like hairspray for your brows they don't budge.

Essie Nail Polish in the shade Private Weekend, Barry M Nail Paint in the shade Matt White & Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Nail Polish in the shade Sure Thing -
I had mentioned in a post previously that i was living for white nails this month, which i have never been a huge fan of in the past but now i am obsessed. These are three polishes that i have been switching from, but if i had to choose one of the three i would go for the one by Revlon as it was the one that lasted the longest.

If you were wondering where are the lip products Katie? Do not panic i posted previously my current favourite lip products, there was quite a few so you can check that out here:

CURRENT FAVOURITE LIP PRODUCTS

Hello Everyone and Happy Monday! Seeing as it is nearly the end of another month and almost time for another monthly favourites post, i thought i would share with you my favourite lip products at the moment. The genius reason for doing this, is that this month i have been loving a ton of new/some rediscovered lip products and it would probably make for the longest beauty favourites. Also just as a little side note/disclaimer, this is me we are talking about here so as a little pre warning this post contains a lot of nude lip colours and i am a nudes girl at heart...

Revlon Super Lustrous Matte Lipstick in the shade Nude Attitude -
This is one of those lipsticks i have had in my collection for some time and for some reason i don't always reach for it, until recently. Why did i never use this more? It is the most gorgeous matte nude shade with quite peachy undertones and i like to pair it with the NYX lip liner i am also going to talk about in this post.

L'Oreal Infallible Mega Gloss in the shade Girl On Top -
I have talked about in the past how much i love these glosses from L'Oreal in particular the shade Protest Queen, but this shade here is a newer one to my collection. This gloss is the most beautiful baby/girly pink shade and is one of those staple handbag glosses, that you can just pull out and apply whatever the situation easily.

NYX Lip Liner Pencil in the shade Beige -
Just recently this is my favourite lip liner to use to line my lips before applying a nude lipstick (the revlon one in particular). I really like how this liner doesn't change the effect of the colour that is being applied on top. It has a super natural finish to it, even though it is in fact suppose to have a "frosty" finish to it.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in the shade Sydney -
When i am wanting a really bright candy pink looking lip, i either reach for this one or MAC's lipstick in the shade Saint Germain. Out of the two i definitely seem to reach for this one more as it is slightly more on the wearable side for everyday, it also lasts for a super long time on the lip and isn't drying in the slightest.

NYX Butter Lipstick in the shade Candy Buttons -
This is the newest lipstick in my collection, i have always wanted to try these butter lipsticks and i am completely in love with how moisturising they are. This is a very peachy/pink shade with a lovely satin finish, i will definitely be adding some more shades to my collection very soon.

MAC Lip Pencil in the shade Whirl -
This is one of those lip liners i have been after for the longest time but it is forever out of stock on Debenhams (i always get MAC from Debenhams because you get beauty points) and i finally got my hands on it. I love how this is more on the brown side of nude on me and i love pairing it in a lip combo with the NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in the shade Satin Ribbon.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss in the shade Dainty -
I have the full lustrous set of glosses by Anastasia Beverly Hills but this is by far my most worn shade, it is just one of those perfect pinky doll shade nudes that go with pretty much any look. I am forever obsessed with how pigmented these are for just a gloss and they are also long lasting.

MAC Lip Pencil in the shade Edge to Edge -
I purchased this lip liner the same time as i did Whirl and it instantly got pushed straight to the top spot when it came to wanting a pink lip liner. It is the most beautiful blue undertone pink liner and it looks amazing be itself or paired with another lip colour. My favourite thing about MAC lip liners is they last for so long on the lips and also help other products last longer, also allowing the lip colour to fade more naturally.

NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipsticks in the shades Baby Doll & Satin Ribbon -
I recently did a lip swatch and review post on these liquid lipsticks, so you can check that out here for more details about the product itself:

Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss in the shade Sunset Strip -
Moving on and another Anastasia Beverly Hills product and one that i have been wearing more now that it is spring. This gloss looks simply beautiful on top of another lipstick for adding a little more shine, my favourites to pair it with are MAC's lipstick in the shade Sweet & Sour and then the NYX Butter Lipstick shown above.

FACE FRIDAY: TRYING OUT NEW DRUGSTORE PRODUCTS

Hello Everyone! Just recently i took a trip to Boots and made quite a few purchases of essential products like haircare/bodycare etc, but also some new makeup bits. So i thought for today's post why not put those products to the test and share with you the look i come up with and also give you my first impression/review on the items...

So this is the look i created incorporating all of the new makeup products i purchased and in all honesty, i have to say i am in love with 90% of the items i tried out.

NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in the shade Baby Doll
Sleek Matte Me Lip Cream in the shade Petal

These are all the products listed above marked with a *

Collection Primed & Ready Primer in the shade Cool Rose - £4.99
This primer really reminded me of my trusty Rimmel Good To Glow Liquid Highlighter that i use as a base for foundation, the only difference and downside to this one is that it wasn't as illuminating but it is still an amazing base for foundation.

Miss Sporty Perfect Stay 10HR Concealer in the shade Light - £2.99
This is the first ever product i have tried from Miss Sporty for some reason and i wanted to give this ago as i had heard so many good things about it. This is probably the item i was least impressed with as it wasn't the best coverage, so i did go in with another concealer on top.

Rimmel Brow This Way Highlighting Pencil in the shade Shimmer - £4.99
I already love the other products from the Brow This Way range, so i was intrigued to try this new product out also. I am usually a eyeshadow kind of girl when it comes to a brow bone highlight, but i thought this was super easy to apply and looked so nice for a change.

Maybelline Color Tattoo Creamy Mattes in the shade Créme De Rose - £4.99
If you have read my posts for a while you will know i already love these for eyeshadow bases or simply worn alone, as they are so beautiful and easy to apply. This was a shade i was yet to pick up and it is the most gorgeous pinky/creamy shade.

Maybelline Master Drama The Nudes Eye Pencil in the shade
Brownie Glitz & Rose Pearl - £4.49
I already love the black version of these eye pencils so i knew i was going to love them already. I went in with the intention of picking up all three from this range but they only had these two shades left available but i am glad because these were the shades i wanted the most, they make a huge change from my comfort zone of a black waterline.

Rimmel Kate Sculpting Palette in the shade Coral Glow - £6.99
Firstly how gorgeous and sleek is this packaging? It would be perfect for travelling as you have all three cheek products in one place without taking up any room. Moving on to the product itself, i think this is the item i love the most as the blush and highlight are super pigmented and they give off the most beautiful natural healthy glow.

MIDWEEK MANI: A POP OF COLOUR

Hello Everyone! Things don't always go to plan when it comes to your nails and not all manicures last for the full week, like we would all like them to do so. Accidents happen and even the toughest of nail polishes can chip before we want them to. This week is the case for me, so i thought why not share with you my midweek mani...

So this is my chosen midweek mani and i went with using not only one nail colour all over the nails, or two for that fact, i decided to go with three different nail polishes. I have been living for nude and white nails just recently, so i had to incorporate one of those in there somewhere but i also wanted to add a pop of colour.

This is the nail polish i used for the pop of colour and it's called Air Kisses by Topshop. This is the most gorgeous bright almost pastel blue shade, perfect for spring and summer.

On my nails:

Essie Apricot Care Cuticle Oil
Barry M Iron Mani Ultimate Nail Hardener
Topshop Nails Nail Polish in the shade Air Kisses
Barry M Nail Paint in the shade Yellow Topaz Glitter
Barry M Nail Paint in the shade Matt White
NO7 Stay Perfect Top Coat

LUXURY WISHLIST

Hello Everyone and Happy Monday! For today's post i thought i would share with you an updated "wishlist" post, as it has been a few months since my last. Just to switch things up rather than just discussing only beauty wishlist products, i thought i would also include some other items...

Let's kick things off with the beauty side of the post and to be more specific these two lipsticks. First up i have been lusting after pretty much every single Tom Ford lipstick and Charlotte Tilbury lipstick but mainly these two. The Tom Ford Lipstick in the shade Blush Nude which is £38GBP from Selfridges and then the Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in the shade Nude Kate which is also from Selfridges and costs £23GBP. Next up it's all about this eyeshadow palette that is yet to launch in the UK until later in the month, it's the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette and i'm unsure on what that will currently retail for but i have been lusting on Instagram for a while now. Last of all for the beauty side of things is a fragrance and more specifically the Viktor And Rolf Flower Bomb Eau De Parfum, which retails for £96GBP from Boots for the 100ML size. I first discovered this fragrance when i got given a bunch of mini sample bottles and i was in love at first sniff, it is a floral perfume but it isn't sweet and sickly smelling it is definitely more on the sophisticated side.

Check out my previous beauty wishlist post here:

Next up we have the accessories i am lusting after/saving up/deciding if to make the plunge and buy items ha ha. First up is this Kate Spade Cedar Street Hayden Bag in the Crisp Linen/Cement style and that retails for £325GBP, which is fairly expensive for a bag but not as expensive as some other designer brands. Next up is an item that i am in the middle of a dilemma about, as i am planning to buy one myself for my birthday present but i am stuck between two different styles. They are these two Marc Jacobs watches, the Amy Rose Gold Bracelet watch which retails for £165GBP and then the Baker Gold Watch which retails for a little more for £153GBP (both from ASOS). Next up is a pair of sunglasses and more specifically these ones from Miu Miu which retail for £207GBP, i have been wanting to invest in a more high quality pair on sunglasses rather than just buying cheaper ones and this pair is top of the list. Finally we have a pair of heels, these are by Carvella and they retail for £120GBP from House of Fraser. If i'm being completely honest i am really loving these block style heeled shoes lately, rather than a slimmer "stiletto" style heel.

Since doing so i have re discovered so many products i had forgotten about and eyeshadow palettes being the main culprit, so i thought why not put them to use and share what looks i come up with from using the different palettes. NYX LINGERIE LIQUID LIPSTICKS

Hello Everyone! For the longest time i have been waiting for these Liquid Lipstick's from NYX to be available in the UK and finally they are on Boots (online). So as soon as i got that email saying they were available to order, that was it i was straight there. I did think about getting the whole collection but decided against it for the time being and i only ordered shades i knew i would wear a lot...

So when placing my order i decided on five shades that i knew i would usually opt for and i did my research before hand, looking at swatches available online such as instagram and tumblr. As i said before i bought mine from Boots online and they retail for £6.50 each, which in my opinion is super affordable. Moving on to the packaging, the packaging is super sleek with the clear tube and black writing and matching screw top lid. Once you open the product, the applicator is a dofus applicator which is super flexible allowing an easier application. The one thing that is pretty deceiving with when first receiving the products, is that they look so similar in the tubes but don't let that fool you once on the lips each shade looks different. When it comes to the actual formula of the product, i found that they are all slightly different but that will come down to the shade you are using. All in all when it comes to my final opinion on the final product, it that i find them super easy wearing and not drying on the lips at all. Saying that the application will always go on so much smoother if your lips are well exfoliated and moisturized before hand.

First of all we have the shade which is called Baby Doll. This shade is the a gorgeous almost peachy nude shade with a hint of pink and definitely the lightest shade of them all. Being truthful i found it the hardest shade to apply out of them all, it's definitely one of those shades you have to build up using a small amount of product each time. Saying that once you do that you are left with the most gorgeous lip shade.

Then we have the shade called Lace Detail. This is shade is definitely more for the pale people just like me as when it's on the lips it is a very pale pinky nude, saying that after wearing it when i had tan on another time it stood out a lot more. Just like Baby Doll this was more difficult to apply, so i just apply it in the same way building small thin layers up.

Next up is the shade called Satin Ribbon and probably my favourite out of the whole collection. Satin Ribbon is just such a me shade when it comes to nudes. It is still on the pale side of shades in the collection but is super easy to apply, compared to the two shades above. Just like Lace Detail it is still quite a pinky/nude but it does have that slight beige undertone to it.

So the last two shades i have are probably the ones that are most different to the other three i have already shown you. This shade is called Push-Up and it is quite a peachy shade with a slight hint of an almost spice/brown colouring to it. As this shade is darker than the other's i did find it so much easier and quicker to apply, as it went on super evenly,

Finally the darkest shade i have, which is called Bedtime Flirt and probably the shade i was most excited to try from the beginning as i had seen so many people wearing it online. Bedtime Flirt is a mauve-pink shade with more red undertones and now that i have tried it personally, i found that it looks the most different compared to the others do on different skin tones.

TOP FIVE FAVOURITE ESSIE NAIL POLISHES

Hello Everyone! So last month i did a post sharing with you all five of my favourite nail polishes by Barry M, i also asked if there was any other brand of polishes you wanted to see a top five favourites of and the winner was Essie. Essie is definitely a top brand for me when it comes to the little more pricey nail polishes along side OPI, so this was slightly difficult to choose just five as i literally love every single shade of them i own...

So just like the Barry M post here we have my top five favourite polishes by Essie. All five are just the normal formula, not glitters/top coats or anything, i always get my Essie polishes from Boots and they retail for £7.99 GBP. They are another brand for me that last for longer than a couple of days on my nails, which can be rare to find unless i am using my beloved Sally Hansen top coat.

Nail Lacquer in the shade Spin The Bottle  -
When it comes to nude nail polishes i am very fussy as a lot of them tend to not apply very well, just like a lot of white nail polishes do the same. It was a toss up between choosing this one (Spin The Bottle) and the shade Ballet Slippers which is a slightly more pale/pinky nude, but i decided to go with this one as i do tend to opt for it a lot more than that one. Just a little disclaimer if you like it super opaque like i do then you will need to apply three coats.

Nail Lacquer in the shade Cascade Cool -
This shade is definitely at the top of my list of all the pink nail polishes i own, not just specifically Essie. It is the most beautiful creamy pale pink with a slight blue undertone to it. A down side i don't think this shade is available at Boots anymore, at least i can't find it but it is still available on the Essie website itself. This is quite an opaque shade, so you only need the two coats and it also seems to last for a while longer than any of the others.

Nail Lacquer in the shade Play Date -
This nail polish is probably one of the most unique shades of purple i have ever come across, it is literally so unique. Probably the only way to describe this nail polish is to say it is a bright purple creme colour, it is also super opaque with only two coats which is what we like and it applies like a dream with no complications.

Nail Lacquer in the shade Sunset Sneaks -
This particular shade is from the summer collection last year so i'm not 100% sure if it is still available or not, i couldn't find it on the Boots website but they might have it in stores still. This shade is a bright coral creme shade and perfect for summer, which is probably why they put it in their summer collection. As well as looking stunning on your nails, it also looks amazing as a pedicure as well and i wore it constantly last summer.

Nail Lacquer in the shade Mint Candy Apple -
Last of all we couldn't not mention one of the most talked about green/blue nail polishes of a few years back on youtube/fellow bloggers. It has also definitely earned that talked about status, as it is the most beautiful pastel/mint shade. It is a super opaque polish which only needs two coats and to say it is a pastel colour, it actually applies effortlessly.

THE ULTIMATE SUNDAY PAMPER

Hello Everyone! I don't know about you but there is nothing better than heading into a new week all fresh and fully pampered from the night before. I just feel it makes you feel like you've washed the previous week off and ready to tackle the new week ahead, whilst looking your best at the same time. So for today's post i thought why not share with you all my "ultimate" Sunday night pamper routine and what i get up to...

The first thing i always do when it comes to the ultimate sunday pamper is my nails, sometimes i will do them in the morning but sometimes i'll do them in the afternoon/early evening. You know the drill new week, new nails it's just a must do thing and just recently i am living for nude nails.

Nails are all done and are completely dry, it's time for a hair mask. This is my go-to hair mask at the moment, which i mentioned in my current haircare products post.
I leave this mask on my hair for around 20 to 30 minutes and i apply it before getting in the shower, as i have found it is a lot easier because of it being in a tub not a tube.

Whilst the hair mask is on it's time to start some cleansing and to do that i'm doing to wash my face using this Deep Cleaning Fix cleanser by Nip+Fab, it's very rare that i wear makeup on a Sunday so i don't need to go in with my Micellar water first. Once my face is clean, i like to apply my favourite face mask which is also by Nip+Fab and i leave that on for about 10 minutes.

Next up it's shower time and i like to start by exfoliating my skin, basically removing any tan i might still have on but also as prep for a fresh layer coming soon. I love the combination of Soap & Glory's Scrub of your Life and some exfoliating gloves (by Primark).

Afterwards it's time to get squeaky clean, i'm obsessed with the scent of this shower gel by Treacle Moon (which i mentioned in my march favourites). It's also time to shave those legs using both Gillette Violet Swirl shave gel and razor. Finally then it's time to rinse off that hair mask, followed by shampooing and rinsing using the OGX renewing argan oil shampoo.

Once out of the shower and all dried it's time to apply some fresh tan, i love this Dove Derma Spa one as it is super natural looking and easy to apply, plus it's moisturizing at the same time. Talking of application i still really like applying it using a tanning mitt (by Primark) as you can get such an even application and you don't get stained hands.

Once that is done i like to run one of these Dragon's Blood Fix cleansing pads over my face, followed by some Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil allowing it to soak into the skin for a few hours before continuing with my skincare routine.

So we all done in the bathroom department for now, next i head into my bedroom where i firstly always put on some music before i do anything else (it's just the rules ha ha). Then it's time to tackle the hair, i always leave my hair in the towel for a while or procrastinate to be truthful, before applying some of this L'Oreal Studio Sleek It Ultra Smoothing Cream to the mid/lengths of my hair and brushing using my tangle teezer. Next up it's heat time starting with blow drying my hair, followed by applying some heat spray and straightening it to lock in that hair smoothing cream we used.

Now that the majority of the pampering is done it's time to chill out and relax for a few hours, where i will either catch up on some tv shows or watch a film on Netflix with a treat or two.

So a few hours has past and it's almost time to head to bed, but before doing that i head back to the bathroom to firstly brush my teeth and secondly finish up with my skincare. I like to apply some lip scrub from Lush just to keep my lips feeling moisturized, before going in with my face moisturizer by Garnier and my eye cream by Nip+Fab.

MAKEUP STORAGE & COLLECTION

Hello Everyone and Happy Friday! Today's blog post has been a long time coming, as i have been so hesitant to share it with you all. The main reason i have waited for so long is that i personally wanted to be happy with the way everything looked/mainly was stored and that took a hot minute. Just a little disclaimer no one should have to have this much makeup, but saying that collecting makeup is my passion/hobby/job. As another side note recently i had a huge clear out whilst re-organizing everything and any unwanted makeup got given away to people i know...

So this is my makeup vanity/where i sit and do my makeup every single day. The desk/storage, chair and vanity mirror are all from Ikea.

On my table top itself i like to keep my NO7 light up mirror, which i use every single time i'm doing my makeup. Then i have four of these white plant pots also from Ikea, which i use to store my brushes/tools in three of them and then also eyeliners/lip liners in the other one.

In the center of my desk i keep my Muji acrylic storage, which i did a post on a few month's ago. Not much since i posted that has changed except for the bottom drawer, which now houses my favourite cream eyeshadow's and pigments also. The drawer above is where i keep my most used foundations and a couple of larger packaged products, that don't fit anywhere else.
Check out my Muji dressing table storage post here:

So lets get into what is inside my drawers/desk. On the right hand side of my vanity there is a smaller drawer then a cupboard with three shelves inside. Inside of the drawer itself i keep all of my skincare products, along side a couple of different back up products.

Getting into what i store on the three shelves, first up on the top shelve i keep cotton buds in another one of those Ikea plant pots (a small one) and second of all in this drawer insert i keep the rest of my lipstick/gloss's what i don't tend to reach for all the time. The rest are stored in my muji storage. Looking at the amount in this insert looks so bare to me now, as lip products were the thing i cleared out the most of, i am such a lip product junkie. Moving on quickly to the middle shelve which i won't get into as we would be here all day, as it is in fact where i store all of my eyeshadow/blush/contour palette's and there is a ton, the shelve is almost full of them piled up. Although if you would like to see a makeup palette collection post let me know.

On the bottom shelve i basically store all of my nail polishes, along with nail polish removers and face/cotton pads (i always get the Primark cotton pads now, as they are amazing and super cheap i definitely recommend them). In this drawer insert i keep my most used/favourite nail colours and then ones that i reach for less further at the back of the shelve in another storage box.

Finally moving onto the most exciting part of the post, the core of my collection and the main drawer in my desk/vanity. So i basically have this drawer divided into different categories for storing different products, which makes looking for items a lot easier.

So on the far left hand side i store eyeshadow quads/slimmer palettes as they just fit perfectly down that side. Then we have the three drawer inserts placed in the middle starting with where i store my concealers, primers, illuminators and some other random bits like lashes/glue etc.

On the far right i keep all of my single KIKO eyeshadows, along with some smaller quads by Maybelline. Next to that in the drawer insert i keep all of my brow/lash products and then behind that i have a mixture of highlighters and some larger blushes/bronzers with bigger packaging.

Last but not least probably my favourite section of all, the blush section and where all the beautiful pinks/colour is. At the back behind of all the blushes i also keep a selection of single eyeshadows such as ones from L'Oreal, Essence and NYX along side a couple of MAC ones that aren't in a pro palette. Ironically these drawer inserts are also from Ikea and they are definitely the bargain of the show at only 80p each, which is crazy as they are really well made.
