BLOGMAS DAY FIVE: CHRISTMAS MARKET

Hello everyone and welcome to blogmas day five! So i mentioned how one of the ways to get into the Christmas spirit, was to visit a Christmas Market. To me now Christmas isn't Christmas without visiting one at least one time, during the lead up to the big day. Yesterday was actually my second visiting the Nottingham Winter Wonderland this year, so i thought for today's instalment why not share with you some of my day...

So if you are from Nottingham or have ever been to the Nottingham Christmas Market, you will know that it is also known as "Winter Wonderland". It is based on the cities Old Market Square, which is filled with lots of stalls selling everything from cheese, to decorations and a wide selection of classic market bites to eat.

Talking of classic market bites to eat, the most eye catching thing for me is the desserts obviously! There is such a huge selection available from cakes to cookies, decorated toffee apples, hot chocolates, sweeties and my personal favourite the churro's with either cinnamon or chocolate sauce.

First of all, can we just take a second and acknowledge actually how cute this Santa Claus is! Second of all one of my favourite things about a Christmas Market is the stalls themselves, as they are all decorated super festive, snowy rooftops and all. If the stalls aren't your thing, Winter Wonderland also has an ice bar and ice skating rink.

Is anyone else obsessed with nutcrackers at Christmas time? I just find them super cute and this Christmas Market nutcrackers are a favourite of mine, along side the Paul Smith house ones. Anyway once we was all Christmas Market-ed out and since it was a "family day out" we went for lunch at a favourite restaurant of mine, Le Bistrot Pierre (which i would sooner opt for over a market hot dog if i am being honest).

I was suppose to be snapping my main as well but it completely slipped my mind, although by the time dessert came around i had remembered. Ironically this dessert was a frangipane flavoured dessert, as was yesterday's blogmas instalment which you can catch HERE.
