DRUGSTORE VS DRUGSTORE: LIQUID HIGHLIGHTERS

Today i am back with another "drugstore vs drugstore" post, but this time it is all about liquid highlighters or illuminator's. You can check out my previous "drugstore vs drugstore" post here: http://katiebeautyshake.blogspot.co.uk/2015/09/affordable-makeup-week-drugstore-vs.html

The two illuminator's going head to head are from Left to Right:

Rimmel Good To Glow in the shade 001 Notting Hill Glow - £4.99 Boots
Revlon PhotoReady Skinlights in the shade 200 Pink Light - £11.99 Boots
(Both products are very similar in colouring, pinky/golden tones)

This post is slightly different to my previous "drugstore vs drugstore" post as in that one there was a clear winner between the two products in my opinion, but this time i actually really like the two chosen products.

Let's begin with the Rimmel Good To Glow Highlighter in the shade Notting Hill Glow. So like any other liquid illuminator/highlighter i apply this in two different ways, either mixed into my foundation or as a base before my foundation. The thing i love about this one from Rimmel is that it is super light weight on the skin yet it still gives you that amazing glow, leaving it looking super radiant. Until just recently Rimmel has never really been a brand i have branched out of except for the odd nail polish, my go-to brow product at the moment and the holy grail pressed powder. Saying this i am really enjoying the products from this brand and they are super affordable. This highlighter is literally a penny under £5 and half the price of the one by Revlon. Overall i would definitely give it a four and a half out of five, which is a good score!

Next up is the one by Revlon, it's from their PhotoReady range and it is in the shade Pink Light. This is super similar to the Rimmel one yet i would say this is a touch pinker and thicker in consistency. Like i said with the other product i also apply this in two different ways, either mixed into my foundation or before as a base. This is the second tube of this i have owned as i used the first one all up, that's how obsessed with it i was at one point. Saying this now i think i would prefer to repurchase the Rimmel Good To Glow as it achieves the exact same look and for half the price, i think £11.99 is quiet steep for this type of products compared to £4.99.. it's a no-brainer!  I would rate this product an overall score of four.
