We decided to skip breakfast before we left for shopping, as we wanted to get to town for a full day of shopping. When we arrived we had to stop for breakfast at Delilah's, as we were both so hungry. We opted for some Granary Toast with Jam, along side a warm Almond Croissant and we split both between us so half the toast and half the croissant. I also had a Skinny Latte, as i needed my morning caffeine fix to set me up for shopping ha ha!
For lunch we ventured to Le Bistrot Pierre, which by the way if you have never tried it before i highly recommend it. The prices are fantastic and you get the most amazing quality food. As it was technically still lunchtime we had their Christmas lunchtime menu which was 3 courses for £17.50, so as it was so much food it ended up doubling up as dinner also.
To start i had the Roasted Butternut Squash Soup which was topped with Gruyere Cheese and Toasted Pumpkin Seeds, it was so yummy!
For my main course i opted for the Roasted Chicken Breast which came with Chestnuts, Chipolata, A Red Wine Sauce and a Sage Onion Crumb on top. This also came with "seasonal" Potatoes and Vegetables, to share between two.
Dessert time (yummy), i had the Warm Baked Cherry and Almond Frangipane which was suppose to come with Créme Fraíche but they had ran out so we had to have some of their Vanilla Ice Cream (what a shame ha ha, yay for ice cream) and Toasted Pistachios.
So after some more serious shopping, it was time to call for a Coffee for the train journey home. We went to Starbucks and i had to have one of my favourite Christmas Drinks, which is their Soy Toffee Nut Latte... it is heaven in a cup/your mouth ha!
It is also safe to say i didn't eat anything after all that food until nearly midday the next day, as i was still super full up. It was totally worth it though!
