FOUNDATION REVIEW WEEK: ESTÉE LAUDER DOUBLE WEAR RE-DISCOVERY/PRODUCT REVIEW

Hello Everyone and welcome back to another foundation review! So in my previous post i shared with you my first impression on the new L'Oreal Nude Magique Cushion foundation, so for today's instalment i thought i would share with you a foundation re-discovery on a product that used to be a holy grail foundation of mine, yes you guessed right it is non other than Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation...

So this is what the packaging looks like for the foundation, it's in a frosted glass bottle with a gold screw top lid. The packaging has such a luxurious vibe to is as it is obviously a more high-end product but it isn't a very travel friendly product, so if you didn't want to risk travelling and the bottle smashing i highly recommend getting one of those transparent foundation pots and taking the amount you think you would need. This foundation doesn't come with a pump, it is simply just a pour out the bottle situation when you come to apply it (although i believe you can get a pump for them). This foundation is available from major department stores, feel unique and boots, it retails for £30GBP. The foundation is available in a wide range of shades (around 30+) and has an SPF of 10.
(I have the shade 2N1 Desert Beige)

This foundation consists of 30ml of product which is the usual amount for a foundation. A lot of people say that Revlon Colorstay foundation is a lot similar to this foundation but obviously a lot more affordable. This foundation is an in-between consistency product as it isn't super runny and it isn't super thick, it's somewhere in the middle and a little goes a long way so it should still last you a fairly long time.

Moving on to the actual application of the foundation. Down to personal preference with this foundation just like i did in the past, i like to apply this dotted around my face and then blend it out using a real techniques miracle complexion sponge. Another tip about this foundation is that a definitely recommend using a primer underneath this foundation as it just makes the blending out process a lot easier. This foundation is definitely a medium to full coverage foundation and like a mentioned above, a little goes a long way. The finish to the foundation is very natural and is neither a full matte or dewy finish, the way this foundation feels once on the skin isn't super lightweight but it isn't super heavy feeling at the same time. The amazing thing about this foundation is that it literally doesn't transfer if you touch your face or anything like that and it lasts all day long, while still looking fresh. My overall thoughts on this product is in all honesty i can't even remember why i stopped using it, except for maybe the fact i was reaching for so many different foundations. The foundation is simply beautiful and such a great foundation for the warmer months, as it even still looks perfect after being in humid weather.
