MY FIVE FAVOURITE BEAUTY HACKS

Hello Everyone! When it comes down to all things beauty, the thing we all have in common is that we all started out as beginners. Along the way as we become more comfortable/familiar with the products/the way we apply products, we also learn one or two hacks that tend to come in handy on a daily basis. So for today's post i thought i would share with you five of my personal favourite beauty hacks...

1. MAKING YOUR EYES POP/LOOK MORE AWAKE.

Whenever i do my makeup i just can't not put a highlight shade in the inner corners of my eyes, i just feel incomplete if i don't do so. Applying a highlight shade to the inner corners of your eyes, not only makes them pop a little more but also makes your eyes appear so much more awake. Just simply take a highlight shade of your choice with a detailed/small eye brush or even your little finger and press into the inner corners of your eyes.

2. PLUCKING YOUR EYEBROWS.

When it comes to our eyebrows, we all have our own preferences but we have all been culprit's of over plucking those brows to an inch of their existence (me included). This beauty hack is perfect for not letting that happen ever again, simply fill in your eyebrows as you normally would when applying your makeup and then simply just pluck away the stray hairs and only them. Not only does that keep you from over plucking but it also allows you to keep a shape to your natural brow/arch etc.

3. LOOSE EYESHADOW PALETTE PANS.

There is nothing more annoying than when an eyeshadow pan becomes loose/falls out in one of your favourite palettes. An easy trick is to apply some lash glue to the bottom/empty space in the pan and gentle place the shadow back into the palette and allow to dry into place. Using lash glue over super glue is firstly more simple, as you probably have some laying around and second of all it is probably a lot safer and you are less likely to get permanently stuck to the palette ha!

4. MAKING YOUR EYESHADOW INTENSE.

This is such a well know hack but if you have an eyeshadow/pigment/glitter that you either want to intensify the colour pay off or it isn't as pigmented as you would like, simply spray some setting spray (or you could even use eye drops) onto your brush and apply to your lids. My setting spray of choice is the Slay All Day by Gerard Cosmetics.

5. COVERING THAT MAKEUP HAIRLINE.

This hack is a savoir for me on a daily basis and it is so simple. If you are like me and have dark hair, powders/makeup can get into your hair line, an easy way to cover that up is by applying a matte shadow closest to your hair colour and simply lock into place with some hairspray. I always use a mixture of M1 and M7 from the Smashbox Full Exposure Palette.
