MAKEUP OBSESSION PALETTE REVIEW

Hello Everyone! For today's post i am bringing to you a product review or should i say palette review, a custom palette review non the less. Makeup Obsession is a new brand i have seen a lot of on the popular pages of Instagram. Makeup Obsession is a brand from TAM Beauty which is the company behind other brands such as Makeup Revolution and Freedom, two affordable brands i happen to be obsessed with already...

So the brand is only currently available in selected Boots stores and online, although the brands Instagram account states it will be available on TAM Beauty soon. I love custom creating my own palettes and i already have a ton of custom MAC palettes and one from Makeup Geek, but the cost soon amounts up at £10 and £5.50 a shadow. Makeup Obsession offer a wide range of empty palettes, eyeshadows, contour shades, blush shades and not forgetting highlight shades starting from as little as £2. The empty palette i decided to go for was the Medium Luxe Gold Palette, which was £6. Then i chose the following six shadows for my palette, which were £2 each - bargain!

When choosing what shadows to get, i wanted to follow a theme and not just pick random shades. Naturally i was going to opt for the warm toned neutral shades, that now i am looking at them are actually perfect for the autumn/winter time. I also wanted to select an equal amount of matte and shimmer finish shadows.

LONDON / SHIMMER FINISH
The shade London is the lightest shade of the shadows i picked up and it is the most beautiful champagne shade, this is a perfect shade for highlighting the inner corners/brow bone.

MOOD / MATTE FINISH
The shade Mood along side another shade in the palette, is my idea of perfection when it comes to a transition/crease shade. This is a warm light bronze-y shade.

IBIZA / SHIMMER FINISH
The shade Ibiza is the most gorgeous warm bronze/golden shimmery shade, perfect for being applied all over the lids. It is also super soft/buttery/pigmented just like all of the other shadows.

GINGER / MATTE FINISH
The shade Ginger is the other shade i was talking about, for a perfect transition shade. I would say that Ginger is about 3 shades warmer with more of an orange undertone unlike Mood.

CINNAMON / MATTE FINISH
Imagine the shade Ginger but another 3 shades warmer and more orange in tone with a lot less brown. This shadow would be great for intensifying the creases definition.

COSMO / SHIMMER FINISH
The shade Cosmo is the most beautiful copper shimmer shade i have seen in a while, except for a shade similar in my Morphe 12S palette and i am obsessed with that too.

  1. Do other eyeshadows fit in this palette? What sort of size it it? I have some makeup geek shadows I want to put in a new case but don't know if they'd fit in this palette!
