YOUTUBE MADE ME BUY IT & BLOGMAS?

Hello Everyone! For today's post i am finally getting around to sharing with you a post i have been meaning to do for a while now, which is the "YouTube made me buy it" tag/post. A lot of us over the years have been sucked in and sold on a product from seeing someone on YouTube rave about it, in fact i have even paused a video to order a product online, there and then! Before i get into things, i just wanted to say that i am in fact taking part in blogmas this year. So starting from tomorrow, you are getting an all new post from me every single day at 5PM UK time in December, all the way up until Christmas...

MAC COSMETICS EYESHADOWS -

When i first started out watching YouTube, pretty much every single beauty person i watched would be using/raving about MAC eyeshadows. So my first thoughts were they must be something really amazing and initially i shared the same views, but now years on i barely reach for my MAC palettes. The reason for this is i just personally think there are so many different eyeshadows out there better in quality and price. Eyeshadows that are of similar quality/concept to MAC shadows, are Makeup Geek and Morphe Brushes single shadows.

RCMA NO-COLOR POWDER -

This is the newest product in my collection, where YouTube made me want to buy it. So many different people on YouTube and Instagram, have been raving about how good this powder is. I literally can't explain how in love i am with this setting powder, it is super finely milled, it sets your foundation, doesn't change the colour of your foundation and i can see why it is loved by so many makeup artists.  

MAC COSMETICS SOFT & GENTLE MINERALIZE SKINFINISH -

This product is probably my favourite product ever from MAC (apart from tan pigment, obviously), this is also another one of those cult classic products loved by many. At one stage i would only ever reach for this product, but now like a lot of products they get forgotten about and put to the back of the drawer. Saying that i think i might have to start reaching for it again, as it is still simply a beautiful baked peachy bronze shade.

NARS LAGUNA BRONZING POWDER -

Just like the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish, this was such a cult classic around 2/3 years ago and one of those products i would constantly reach for over everything else. The huge giveaway that i love this bronzer a lot, is that i have gone through not one but two of these, which is crazy as firstly it's a huge compact and second of all you only need the tiniest amount because it is heavily pigmented. It blends into the skin beautifully, doesn't look patchy/orange or anything and that is probably why is has been such a popular product then and now.

URBAN DECAY NAKED PALETTES -

This is the most obvious/common set of palettes that have been mentioned in pretty much every single one of these type of posts/videos, so there should be no surprise that i am mentioning it. On paper these palettes are/should be every neutrals girls dream and i literally don't have a bad word to say about the palettes, but i just do not reach for them anymore and i don't have an explanation for it. 

MILANI LUMINOSO BAKED BLUSH -

I believe pretty much everyone on YouTube used to always rave about this blush and how stunning it was. At the time Milani was super hard to get a hold of in the UK, unless you either paid well over the odds on Amazon or had it shipped from the US (which is what i did). A couple of years on and you can order one just like that from BeautyBay, as they now stock Milani and it is a blush i still reach for on a regular basis.
