SKINCARE ROUTINE: NOTHING BUT THE ORDINARY EVENING SKINCARE

Hello everyone! In my recent everyday base makeup: full coverage and long-wearing post, i mentioned that i was planning on sharing an updated skincare routine soon. Whilst reviewing all of the skincare products i am currently using, i thought why not break things up into separate posts that why i can go into more detail without the post being a too long of a read. With that in mind i thought i would kick things off with two particular products i have been reaching for as part of my evening skincare routine.

So i have been using these two particular the ordinary products from the brand deciem for around three weeks now, as part of my evening skincare routine after being highly recommended i give them a go. Being completely honest it was a brand i had not heard much of, but what i had heard was that they are branded as "affordable skincare with more expensive beneficial's" with ingredients such hyaluronic acid and retinol being used. The brand has a huge variety of different skincare products, that will pretty much suit anyone in some way and products starting from as little as £4 available from the deciem website, asos and look fantastic.

So once my face is all cleansed and completely free of makeup, i will firstly go in with this which is a high strength vitamin/blemish formula oil with a pipette applicator. This particular oil helps reduce the appearance of blemishes, skin congestion (dull appearance) and balances out visible sebum (pores). The consistency of the oil isn't super liquid-y or too thick, it is definitely in between and a little goes a long way. The oil also absorbs into the skin super quick, rather than sitting on the skins surface like some other oil-based products can do.

Once i have applied the oil i will go straight in with the moisturiser, which is designed to brighten, hydrate and protect the signs of ageing in the skin. The formula of this particular moisturiser is quite liquid-y and just like the oil a little goes a long way. When this particular moisturiser is used along side the oil, your skin will be left feeling slightly tingly and have an almost grainy feel to it (for better results, it is suggested that you use a oil and moisturiser together). As this happens i only use this combination as part of my evening skincare routine, rather that both because soon after i do my morning skincare routine i apply my makeup.
