1. clean your brushes on a brush cleaning mat
For the longest time i have been cleaning my brushes using my hands, which is never good for your hands, especially if you have a large amount of brushes like i do. So i decided to pick up a brush cleaning mat and it is literally so effortless now, as well as a lot quicker. Many different brush companies stock brush cleaning tools such as sigma, real techniques and sephora, but i picked mine up from amazon and it was so in-expensive.
2. use eyeshadow on your hairline
This is a hack i use on a daily basis, as if you have super dark hair like me then you will know what a pain it can be to try and disguise any foundation/powder that has gotten near or on your hair. By taking a brush and a matte eyeshadow that matches your hair colour, you can hide it and lock into place with a tiny amount of hairspray. This trick is also great if you want to fill in your hairline, if you are wearing your hair in a tight ponytail/up-do to make your hair look fuller.
3. use bronzer as eyeshadow
Whilst on the subject of eyeshadow, this is such an obvious one but one i use so often when i either can't be bothered or i am in a rush. Use your bronzer as a transition shade in the crease of your eye or simply all over the lids and blended out, its quick, easy and is perfect if you are like me and love love love any form of simple bronze-y/neutral eye look.

4. cut the top off squeeze tube products
Don't you just hate it when you can't squeeze any more product out, yet you know there is still quite a lot of product left? Simply cut near the top of the tube off, to pour/remove any left over product. I always do this with my moisturisers and also my maybelline fit me foundation, this way you aren't wasting any product, your money and you will probably find you have three or four uses left out of it before it has to go in the bin.
5. use conditioner to shave your legs instead of shaving gel/foam
5. use conditioner to shave your legs instead of shaving gel/foam
I always used to use shaving gel to shave my legs, but then i saw somewhere that the conditioner you use on your hair works just as well if not better. So now i always just use that, not only is it more gentle on your skin, you also save shower space and money not buying the shaving gel ha ha. This hack is also great if you have sensitive skin, saving it from becoming irritated and will be left feeling super soft.
6. add facial oil to your foundation
If you have been reading my posts recently, then you will know i have become obsessed with adding a couple of drops of the manuka doctor facial oil in with my foundation. This hack is perfect if you suffer from dry skin in general or because of the cooler weather, if you want a flawless/effortless finish to your foundation or if you simply want to save time spend buffing product into your skin.
