FOUR MAKEUP PRODUCTS THAT DIDN'T WORK FOR ME

Hello everyone! For today's post i wanted switch things up and to talk about something/products in a different way to what i would usually talk about them. A lot of the time i only tend to share things that i like/love, as well as my first impression on a product and if i don't like something i wouldn't usually talk about it or share it again. When i am buying makeup i always like to be quite savvy and i don't really go into buying something without doing a little research, because i am not about wasting money that way and therefor a lot of the time i will end up liking/making the product work for me. Although sometimes unfortunately that isn't the case...

So if you saw my recent budget beauty week: full coverage glow-y base for under £50 then you will probably now much i love the revlon colorstay foundation, that being said i have a completely different opinion about the photoready insta-fix foundation. Unlike my usual go-to liquid formula foundation this particular foundation is a stick foundation, which really didn't work out well for me and i definitely prefer a liquid because of how drying on the skin the stick felt for me personally. Not only did i find this foundation drying, i also found it hard to blend with both a damp beauty blender and a brush, i also felt as if you needed to apply quite a lot of product to get that "light/medium coverage" it claimed to be.

This particular product is something that didn't work for me not for it's formula but for the shade, as i actually own it in the other shade and i am so obsessed with that. Rather than being a pressed highlighter this one from mua luxe is a loose powder, that is super finely milled and can be dispersed by simply twisting the pot slightly. Moving onto why the shade cashmere didn't work for me, the reason being it is just too deep of a shade for my skin-tone to be applied to the normal highlighting proportions of the face and would work so much better on darker skin. That being said if you have a light-medium skin-tone like me, then if definitely recommend picking up the gold shade and if you have a deeper skin-tone then you will probably love this cashmere shade.

I have probably only tried a handful of products from max factor in the past, some i have loved like the face finity primer and some i haven't loved like this particular bronzer. For me i do love a great baked bronzer but this particular one not so much, i just feel as if both shades are too golden rather than bronze-like which let's be honest is what you would expect from a bronzer. I also wasn't too impressed with how it applied/blended and swatches were completely different to the way it was once applied on the skin.

Finally there is a product that i so wanted to love purely because i went in with such high hopes, after not only loving so many other products from rimmel but also because so many people had said how great of a product it was. My over all opinion of this liquid lipstick is so frustrating, as i love love love this particular shade of nude but for me the formula just didn't work. The liquid lipstick claims to be a velvety matte finish that is comfortable to wear, but for me rather than being velvety matte it was more moose-like that didn't apply evenly at all and it ended up just feeling way too sticky (not lip gloss sticky either).
