MAKEUP REVOLUTION FAST BASE FOUNDATION | FIRST IMPRESSION REVIEW

Hello everyone! Cast your minds back to early January when Makeup Revolution launched a concealer, that left everyone talking about it and duping it the drugstore alternative to the famous Tarte shape tape concealer. That being said last week the brand launched an all new product, this time a foundation which of course people were left shook (including me) after seeing a video that went viral. So of course i was going to be excited to give this launch a try asap and let you know exactly what my thoughts are...

So fun fact, i am the biggest fan of drugstore foundations (i tend to reach for them over any high end foundation) and i have so many favourites from the Maybelline fit me foundation to the Milani conceal and perfect foundation. As i mentioned above Makeup Revolution released an amazing concealer a couple of months ago, which i love and that made me even more excited to try the foundation although i did have my doubts. The thing that made me unsure about wanting to try this foundation is the fact that it is in stick form and for me personally, they don't usually work for me and they tend to be quite drying on my skin. That being said i watched a couple of the first impression videos of the foundation and i was left shook on how stunning it actually was, from the huge 18 shade range, it's £5 price point and stunning nude/rose gold packaging.

Moving onto the actually application of the foundation, i applied a small amount to each area of my face (as a little product goes a long way) before blending out with my damp beauty blender and it blended out flawlessly, with a medium coverage (but can easily be built up to a full coverage without looking cake-y) and then setting in-place with powder after concealer. I wore the foundation for a total of 10 hours and i found as i have normal/dry skin, i obviously didn't have to touch up through-out the day but i definitely think if you were more on the oily side, you probably would have to do one or two touch-ups. The feeling of the foundation when it sits on the skin does feel really comfortable, which i didn't think it would do with it being a stick foundation but it is really hydrating on the skin. The finish of the foundation is a natural/slightly dewy finish. Over-all my thoughts on the foundation is that i am super impressed with everything about it, especially how great it would be for travelling as it is compact and wouldn't break or burst on-route. I think i will definitely be reaching for it quite often, just as it do the concealer and i am left once again giving two huge thumbs up to Makeup Revolution and their makeup product game for 2018 so far.

So the foundation shades are suppose to match up the concealer shades and in the concealer shades i have C2 and C6 (which is the shade i always use). When it comes to foundation obviously i want it to match my rest of me, which is why i picked up F8 for when i am tanned and F6 for either when i am not tanned or to do some cream contouring with. Talking of cream contouring, i really want to pick up the shade F12 to cream contour with. As for foundation F8 is the perfect shade for me and it was super easy to get the right shade for me, by using the shade description on the TAM Beauty website.
