MAKE UP MONDAY: BEAUTY HAUL

Hey guys, i hope you all had a great weekend whatever you got up to. Yesterday my sister and i went out shopping to a place not too far from where i live called East Midlands Outlet which is basically a shopping complex full of lots of different shops but it's outside not in an enclosed "mall" type of place. So we discovered that they have a beauty outlet store there, which for any beauty addict is like being a kid in a sweet store. I noticed that they have a huge range of different products which i have never seen in UK drugstores so i assume a fair few of the brands/products are from the states (which naturally made me even more excited). If you want to find out what i bought then please keep reading...

When you first walk into the store you are naturally faced with a huge wall full of different nail polishes and i was particularly drawn to these Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro polishes as i have never seen this type of Rimmel polish before and also the shades are stunning, my sister and i got the exact same two shades.

Left: 240 English Rose
Right: 270 Steel Grey

My sister actually picked this Nail Art Pen by Sally Hanson before i did, so obviously i went back and picked one up also i went for this cool Neon Pink shade to try.

When i got to the lip products section i straight away drawn to the brand Manhattan, it's a brand i have never heard of before but when swatching some of their products i just had to get some of them in my life. I have researched a little bit about the brand and surprisingly it is a brand of cosmetics sold in all German speaking countries (i just assumed it was going to be American with it being called Manhattan haha).

Top - Bottom:
Tasty Lips in Hawaiian Blueberry
Tasty Lips in Mexican Mango
Soft Mat Lip Cream in 31S (this one didn't have a name just a number)
Colour Loop in Wildberry (how cool does this one look? reminds me of candy).

If you have been reading my posts for a while you will know that L'Oreal is one of my favourite drugstore brands so no haul would be the same without at least one item. I got the L'Oreal Rouge Caresse Lipstick in the shade 01 Fashionista Pink.

Whilst on the lipstick theme i also got this gorgeous coral/pink lipstick by Calvin Klein which is such a me colour. This lipstick is in the shade Ethereal and is from the Créme Lipstick range.

I am a huge fan of these Maybelline Silk Glam eyeshadow quads, a friend of mine bought me a few back from when she was on holiday in Florida. I have never actually seen one in a store before myself in the UK until yesterday but i have watched so many American YouTuber's using these quads. This particular quad is the one i have been wanting for so long which has made me super happy to finally get my hands on.

Maybelline Silk Glam eyeshadow quad in the shade Coral Drama.

The next two items are not drugstore items but they are products i have been wanting to try out for a while now. Firstly the HD Brows bronzer in the shade Bronzer 2. Obviously HD Brows is most famous for their brow products but they also do other cosmetics which are such good quality and worth every penny.

The final product is from BECCA, which i have seen so many people talking about how good the brand is but i have been unsure on trying something from the range as it is pretty expensive compared to other brands. This is the Fine Pressed Powder and i am really excited to give this a try to see how it differs from my trusty Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. It also comes with a really cute little zip pouch bag.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing all the beauty items in my haul and i will be back with another blog post very soon...

THE BODY SHOP HAUL

What self confessed beauty lover doesn't love The Body Shop? Cause i know i do and i am a complete sucker for not being able to go in without purchasing something. So yesterday whilst in town i thought i would pop in.
Some of the items i have purchased i haven't tried before and a couple are repurchases.
So here is what i have purchased...

The first thing i purchased and one of the main reasons i actually went into The Body Shop was to take a look at "Tea Tree skin essentials" as my sister had recommended this line to me as it has really helped to clear up her blemishes fairly quickly and i have been having a few more breakouts than usual just lately. I decided to go for this set of 4 mini items from the range just to try them out and for £10 you really can't go wrong with that. If you have ever smelt Tea Tree before it has quiet a strong scent to it but if the outcome of the product is effective it is worth the smell.

1. Skin Clearing Facial Wash - 60ml (2.0 US FL OZ)
2. Skin Clearing Toner - 60ml (2.0 US FL OZ)
3. Skin Clearing Lotion - 15ml (0.5 US FL OZ)
4. Tea Tree Oil - 10ml (0.33 US FL OZ)

1. Mini Pink Grapefruit Body Butter - 50ml/48g (1.69 US FL OZ) £5
2. Coconut Hand Cleansing Gel - 60ml (2.0 US FL OZ) £2.50 each
3. Chocolate Lip Butter - 10ml/8.5g (0.3 US FL OZ) £4
(Cleansing Gel and Lip Butters are all 3 for 2)

1. Brow and Lash Gel in 01 Clear - £10.
I wanted to get a new brow gel for a few weeks now as my no7 one has all dried out fairly quickly, so i decided to go back to the trust The Body Shop one.
2. Honey Bronzer in 03 Medium Matte - £13.
(I didn't purchase this on this particular shopping trip but have purchased it recently so i thought i would include it in the same haul). I have been wanting to try this bronzer out for some time and it has become my new favourite go to bronzer.

At the moment at The Body Shop they have this free gift set worth £22.50 when you spend £18 on makeup and skincare. As i spent over this amount i picked one up.
The gift set includes:

1. Vitamin E Sink-In Moisture Mask - 6ml (0.2 US FL OZ) usually £1.50
2. Vitamin E Cream Cleanser - 60ml (2.0 US FL OZ) usually £2.50
3. Big and Curvy Mascara in 01 Black (Full Size) usually £10
4. Eye Definer Crayon in 01 Black (Full Size) usually £8

So that is everything that i purchased from The Body Shop, i hope you enjoyed seeing what i have bought. What are your favourite The Body Shop items?

SPRING '14 MAKEUP

So winter is over in a few weeks and it is nearly time to switch into spring mode. A massive trend for this spring is purples and pinky shades, which is right up my street as purples suit my eye colour the best and really makes them pop as well as it being one of my favourite colours.

Above is a few of my favourite items perfect for spring time.

1. The Body Shop baked-to-last blush in 01 petal.
I love this blush it is super pigmented and you only need a small amount, i just like to take my blush brush, swirl it around and tap off the excess but you could also use the two colours separate if you wanted.
2. NYX diamond sparkle lipstick in DS sparkling satin.
This is a perfect pink shade lipstick for spring as it is not too bright or too pale and it has the right amount of sparkle to it, suitable for a wide range of different eye looks.
3. L'Oreal lumi magique highlighter pen in 1 light.
I have talked about this highlighter pen in numerous blog posts. It is without a doubt one of my favourite highlighters, really brightening and fresh looking.
4. NYX eye shadow in ES35 platinum pink.
I am really unsure why they named this eye shadow platinum pink because to me platinum is a really luminous shade of colours and this is a really neutral light pink shade but it looks stunning and really brightens up the eyes, making you look really awake and fresh looking.
5. NYX liquid crystal liner in LCL103 crystal pink.
This glitter liner is perfect for spring time, to me this glitter liner is more on the purple/lilac side rather than pink. I like to wear this in place of a blank winged liner look.

Also perfect for this spring is without a doubt is the MAC a fantasy of flowers collection. I literally can not wait to get my hands on some of this collection because it all just looks stunning. This collection is launching Feb/March all depending which parts of the world you are in.

The items i have my eye on the most are:

1. MAC lipstick in rose lily.
2. MAC mineralize skinfinish in stereo rose.
3. MAC cremesheen glass lipgloss in pagoda.
4. MAC lipstick in snapdragon.

Hope you are all having a great weekend whatever you are doing...
