WHAT I PICKED UP ON BLACK FRIDAY

Hello everyone! So as you will all probably know last Friday was Black Friday, in fact all of last week was pretty much Cyber Week and there were so many deals going on online. I was hoping to make it through Black Friday without making any purchases but of course, i caved and couldn't resist taking advantage of some of the amazing deals on offer. With that in mind for today's post i thought i would share what i picked up on Black Friday...

I posted a Black Friday deals and discount codes post, which you can catch up on here. All offers/discount codes were valid at time of purchase, some of the discounts might still be valid or slightly different currently.

1. noisy may leather jacket | 20% off at ASOS |
So on ASOS they had 20% off everything all weekend using the code HELLO20 and there wasn't really anything that i needed but i did decide to add a couple of staple pieces to my wardrobe. I picked up this leather jacket from the brand Noisy May, which i already have a few items in my wardrobe by them and the quality of their clothes are really good. Sizing's run in XS, S, M, L, XL but they are labelled in brackets with UK sizing, i went for an S which is an 8-10 and it fits perfectly (even with jumpers layered underneath).

2. cold shoulder ruffle detail jumper | 25% off at Boohoo |
I actually placed an order on Boohoo at the start of last week when they had a 25% off everything code, which of course i had to take advantage of that. My favourite piece from the entire order that i picked up was this black cold shoulder ruffle detail jumper, as i just thought it would be the perfect more dressy type of jumper because of the detailing. This jumper is actually by the brand Brave Soul, which they also stock on ASOS. Sizing's run in XS, S, M, L, i went for a small and it fits perfectly.

3. black cropped denim jacket | 30% off at PRETTYLITTLETHING |
Another outerwear wardrobe staple i decided to pick up is a new black denim jacket, as i wanted one that was more cropped than the one i had picked up in the summer. As there was 30% off everything using the code EARLY30 discount, i just couldn't not pick the one up that i had previously had my eye on. The sizing runs in regular UK sizing from 4-16, i went for a size 10 for layering but i definitely think i could of got away with a size 8 for just wearing with a tee underneath.

4. black coated denim button down skirt | 30% off at PRETTYLITTLETHING |
The only other item that i picked up on PLT is probably my favourite thing from everything i picked up this Black Friday. I had wanted to pick up a leather or leather look skirt for the festive period and once i saw this one in the site, it just had to go into my basket as it is just what i had in mind. What i like about this one is the silver button detailing down the front. Just like the denim jacket the sizing runs from 4-16 and i also went for a size 10 in this, which is true to size.

5. white knitted jumper | 20% off everything at H&M |
H&M this autumn/winter has been the place for knitwear and i have picked up so many different ones, as they are super affordable and are great quality/wash nice. This white jumper is super soft/cosy and is a bargain on its own full price, for just £8.99 and then you can take 20% off of that also. Knitwear in H&M runs from size XS-XL and i always tend to opt for an XS, as they run slightly larger. I also picked up some Christmas presents from H&M (which i won't share just in case the people i am buying for are reading this).

6. the slender blend 1.2K | 45% off everything at Protein World |
Finally something i couldn't say no to was to get another The Slender Blend in stock for when i run out of my current one, as they had 45% off everything using the code BLACKOUT but i actually received a 50% off VIP code via email. This made a 1.2K tub just £16 rather than the usual £31.99, which is such a bargain. The flavours to choose from were Vanilla, Strawberry, Chocolate, Banana, Salted Caramel, Chocolate Mint and White Chocolate/Raspberry.

THINGS I'M LOVING ON ASOS RIGHT NOW

Hello everyone! Just recently i have noticed there are a ton of great items on the ASOS site, both ASOS own brand and a bunch of other brands. I have also recently made a cheeky little order (some items included in this post) but there are still a handful or two of things i want to get. That being said for today's post i thought i would share with you some of the things i am loving on ASOS right now...

So this denim jacket was the first item in my basket and the main reason for browsing the sight at the time, because i was on the hunt for a more cropped style denim jacket and this one is perfect. I love this jacket, so much so i wore it the next day after it arrived especially worn with the sleeves rolled up slightly. I also love how this jacket is true to size and isn't too warm, it is in fact quite lightweight unlike some denim jacket.

These sandals were the next item in my basket as i actually tried to get them last summer but they only had wide fit left, although i have the nude pair in the normal fitting from last year. I literally live in flat sandals in summer as they go with pretty much anything and they are so comfortable, which is why i am glad they bought them back again for this summer. I have so many different pairs of studded sandals, as i love the Valentino vibe.

Putting these sunnies into my basket was a complete impulse buy as i didn't really need any new sunglasses but i am such a sucker for the whole tortoise shell finish, i love how these are slightly different as they have a flash lens which makes them super different to other pairs. I think these will be a favourite of mine this summer and for only £10, you can't really complain unlike if you buy a more expensive pair and they break.

As soon as i saw this detailed sleeve tee i thought how much this screams summer to me, especially paired with a cute pair of denim shorts/jeans or even white jeans. I am really loving wearing basics with a hint of detail at the moment, as i think it still looks effortless but still put together and with this style you can pair it with so many different things rather than with just one specific outfit. This t-shirt is also available in the regular fit too.

5. stradivarius pom pom basket | £17.99 |
I am completely obsessed with how much homeware ASOS now stock, from various brands such as stradivarius, typo, pimkie, ass & belle and more. Another thing i am loving at the moment is the whole woven style, especially this pom pom basket which i feel like you could use in so many different ways. I love how cool these baskets look with a throw/blanket arranged inside, but used as a plant pot is also super cute.

6. mac cosmetics | from £4.50 |
Another thing that i am obsessed with that is now stocked on ASOS is MAC Cosmetics, how cool is it that they are branching out and you can access it in so many different ways now? ASOS unlike some other online stores have such a wide range of stock, including new and limited edition launches. ASOS are also stocking mini/travel versions which you can usually only pick up from a MAC in-store or online.

Another well known brand that ASOS now stock is Sigma, which i really want to give the 3DHD blender a try as so many people rave about how good it is. That being said i will pick one up next time i place an order, as i did recently only open a new beauty blender but this one is definitely on my to try list next and £11 is a good price.

Finally a pair of trainers i have my eye on to pick up next is this pair of all white Adidas Stan Smith's, as i love the whole all white trainers look. I know i already have a pair of all white Nike trainers which i love, but a girl can't have too many pairs of shoes right? 90% of the time i am all about comfort when it comes to footwear, unless i am going on a night out or for dinner in the evening something that is.

CURRENT TOPSHOP LUST LIST | SPRING/SUMMER

Hello everyone! So the other day i found myself browsing the Topshop site, just because i thought it would be rude not to take a quick look and just like the other month i found myself lusting after quite a few things. A lot of the items on the site are perfect spring/summer pieces and as you will probably be able to tell, i am living for a lot of blush/nude tones with black because i just love the way they look together recently...

I am loving the whole "pyjama" style shirts at the moment and i actually picked a couple up recently from missguided and also boohoo, with this type of shirt you can style it in so many different ways either dressed up or dressed down. This is also the style of shirt that looks good either tucked into a pair of jeans or a skirt, then you can also wear it normally without it being tucked in.

I have seen that a lot of sites/stores are now stocking this brand of sheet masks, including Topshop. I love a good sheet mask as they are super hydrating on the skin and this particular one really got my attention as it claims to help achieve beautiful glowing skin.

Sticking with the whole glowing theme, this time on the limited edition beauty section of the site this particular highlighter in the shade afterglow caught my eye. I have a couple of different highlighters in my collection from Topshop beauty and i love them both as they are easy to work with, also not to mention so pigmented that you will glow all the way to space.

As soon as the weather starts to improve and we actually get a little bit of nice weather in the UK, i will basically live in flat sandals and i have so many pairs but some are starting to need an upgrade. I am loving the whole slide sandal vibe at the moment, which they have a ton of great affordable ones in Primark at the moment but i have my eye on this particular nude pair!

I have mentioned the plain black version of this top in a previous post and how much i love that, then i noticed they now do it in different patterned styles too. I love how this leopard print is still a super spring/summer piece but also has some black incorporated with it, these tops are so great to just simply throw on with a pair of jeans paired with a leather jacket.

Talking of jeans, i have been looking for a pair of washed/faded black jeans but with rips in for a while now yet i completely didn't even think that Topshop would have some, but they do and i really like this particular pair as the rips aren't just at the knee area. If you are like me and have short legs then you will understand the struggle with ripped knee jeans ha ha!

7. crystal denim jacket | £95 |
Sticking with the denim theme but this time a denim jacket i am literally so in love with, since the moment i saw it. I saw this crystal embellished denim jacket on Hello October's instagram and thought how perfect this would look with a simple all black outfit, paired with this. I think so many people have the same thoughts as i do, as the jacket is currently almost sold out.

8. sade chain shopper bag | £26 |
I spotted this bag on a sponsored post for Topshop, which is actually what prompted me to take a look on the site in the first place and i thought how perfect this bag would be for spring/summer. I love the mix of the blush nude colour and the rose gold chain detailing, what i also love about this bag is even though it is a shopper bag it actually has a zipped area inside which is a lot safer for when you are out and about. I am also shook that this bag is only £26, such a bargain!

MY FEBRUARY MUST-BUYS | CLOTHING, ACCESSORIES + BEAUTY

Hello everyone! So last month i shared a different style of post to my blog, sharing my must-buys for the month of January. This post included some of the items i had recently picked up or some of the items that i wanted to pick up during the month. With that in mind and seeing as it is now February i thought i would share this months must-buy items, from clothing to accessories, tech items and of course beauty...

I have seen quite a few different "suedette" style biker jackets including a khaki coloured one which would definitely break the bank, that being said boohoo has a similar style jacket for a lot less and it comes in a few different colours. I love this neutral coloured one, as well as the black one!

There is only one thing better or equally as good as Christmas products from Lush and that is Valentine's day, Prince Charming has been my favourite shower gel for years but i believe they have stopped stocking it now. Even though this has happened there is a bunch of amazing smelling products including one of my favourite bath bombs at the moment!

3. | skinnydip dalmatian card holder | was £8 now £5 |
Ever since getting my new purse, which i shared in last months must-buys i have been struggling for room for all of my cards so i decided i definitely needed to pick a card holder up. I fell in love with how cute/classic this one from Skinnydip was and it is so in-expensive.

I have been lusting after these trainers in this icey pink shade for so long, that it just got ridiculous that i didn't buy myself a pair already. I have recently really got back into wearing trainers more, they are just so comfy and look great with so many different outfits!

5. | h&m beauty warm desert blush | £8.99 |
I have heard so many different things about H&M makeup, that i really want to give some things a try. I love how a lot of the packaging is giving me Tom Ford makeup vibes but for a lot less money, especially this blush shade which really has my attention.

I recently broke my current sunglasses which i loved but i wasn't all that mad, because they weren't every expensive. So i decided to go on the hunt for a new pair and fell in love with this surprisingly cheap for net-a-porter and they are my favourite style and tortoiseshell print.

So i have recently started to read this book which i mentioned in my recent "books i want to read in 2018" post and oh my oh my, i am equally as hooked/obsessed as i was when i read Gabriel's Inferno by the same author. Definitely a must-read book this month!

8. | lancome custom highlight drops | £26 |
I am completely obsessed with liquid highlighters, so naturally when i laid eyes on this new launch from Lancome of course i was going to want to get my hands on some. There is four different shades available but my favourite by far is the shade called golden glow.

9. | prettylittlething black oversized knitted jumper | £25 |
Everyone needs that basis black knit in their wardrobe and mine is in need of being replaced, more specifically with a more thick knit and this one from PLT is perfect for that. I love jumpers from the brand as they are such great quality, wash nice and aren't expensive!

10. | skinnydip pretty cute iPhone phone case | £6 |
I recently picked up a new phone case from my favourite place to get them from and that is of course Skinnydip, because of how many cools prints they have. I actually had my eye on this "pretty fucking cute" one for a while now, so seeing as it was in the sale i couldn't resist!

11. | yankee candle rainbow cookie candle | from £1.71 |
Finally i am completely obsessed with the new scents launched on Yankee Candle, especially this rainbow cookie scent. This scent is two of the types of scents i love together both sweet and fresh, as it is infused with soft vanilla, citrus and peach. The packaging colour/design also!

MUA HIGHLIGHTER HAUL

Hello everyone! So if you have read my posts in the past or you read them regular, then you will probably already know how obsessed/baffled at how good the mua undress your skin highlighting powders are for only £3 and so much so, i pretty much have every single shade now. Keeping that in mind, last week i was just browsing through social media and i saw a post from MUA with a picture of one of their new loose highlighters. So you know how it is you go on the site, put one thing in the basket and then a few other things, next thing you know you have eight new highlighting products through your door and i am not even sorry.

First up we have the highlighter that i was talking about, which i had seen swatched online and i thought how beautiful/different it looked, as it definitely has that "holographic" tone to it. I already love the loose gold highlighting powder from the brands luxe collection, so i am hoping that this just as beautiful as that one. I do have a feeling that this is going to be a very "extra" highlight, rather than your everyday natural looking glow that i would usually go for but sometimes it is good to step out of that comfort zone.

Talking of comfort zones, this year i really came out of mine and became obsessed with more cream/liquid based highlighters/contour products, so i obviously had to pick up one of the two new strobe creams from the prism range. The shade i picked up is called golden ray, as i do prefer a more of a golden/bronze toned product over pinks. I am assuming that as this is called "strobe cream" that it is going to work in a similar way to the one from MAC, which i love and have gone through so many of.

So i know i said above that i prefer golden/bronze toned highlighters over pink tones, but i really wanted to give this particular one a try because i think it would be really nice for a more subtle glow and this shade was definitely the most wearable one out of the five. I have a feeling looking at this that it is going to be quite similar to the LA Girl strobelite powders, which i love because they are super finely milled.

Next up we have the final product i picked up from the new prism range and is one i am so intrigued by as it is a jelly formula, rather than a powder or a cream. It said in the description that this jelly formula is great for a dewy looking finish, which had me instantly sold and the face you get three highlighting shades for only £5 is such a bargain. I also think that the packaging on this one is my favourite out of all of the prism range.

This highlighting duo is from the luxe range, which i have actually tried and loved so many products from this range (like the loose highlighter i was talking about above). What makes these different to the other highlighters is that these ones have a baked finish, that apparently makes the product velvet-soft for the ultimate radiance. Both of these things sold me instantly and the fact that this duo called majesty are more golden shades.

f8 fan brush | £3 |
Finally i deciding to pick up some new highlighting brushes, i have tried so many brushes from the brand over the years and i have never had any problems with them. So if you are looking for some affordable brushes, these and the freedom london brushes are both really good. This is a particular fan brush that i already own but i thought i would pick a spare up, as you can never have too many brushes right? I love fan brushes for applying highlighter, as the product just glides right onto the area and i find it so much more precise.

f7 small fan brush | £1.95 |
So as i mentioned i really like the regular F8 fan brush from the brand, so i decided to pick up the F7 which is a smaller version of the F8 and i just thought with would be good for getting slightly more precision or even simply to apply highlighter to the bridge of the nose and the cupids bow more precisely as well. Also the fact that this brush is such great quality for under £2, honestly just baffles me so much.

Last but not least we have another highlighting brush, but this time i picked up one that i haven't tried before and that is the F11 highlighting brush. My reason for picking this brush up is because i thought it would be good for applying the loose highlighter with, rather than dipping a fan brush into a loose powder. Also i believe this is the brush that the brand used on the video clip for the highlighter, which looked like it worked well.

TESTING PRIMARK BEAUTY

Hello everyone! Let's all be honest here, who doesn't love a little Primark spree from time to time? I mean over the years i have found some hidden gems and i also love love love their pyjama selection and homeware. That being said something i haven't really tried a lot of (except from the nails, lip liners and roller ball perfume) is their beauty/makeup range. So i decided to pick up a few beauty items that i haven't seen anyone really review/talk about already and put them to the test, some things i loved, some i didn't love so much.

As i mentioned at the beginning of the post, i have actually tried the rose gold explosion roller ball perfume and it is one i love to keep in my handbag at all times. So whilst i was browsing through the fragrance section i saw this "private collection" range of fragrances and as soon as i smelt this particular one, i was like ok sold. This particular fragrance is quite fresh yet it has that slight "cologne" manly notes to it and i really liked about it. I also love how this particular size is perfect for your handbag also, like a roller ball and is a bargain at only £3, for quite a luxury/sleek looking product. This particular collection is available in two sizes, as well as a hand wash.

Seeing as i am completely obsessed with cream contour sticks at the moment, i thought i would pick this particular one up as it claims it is more of a "bronze" highlighting stick and that is definitely more my preference as i don't love a cool contour stick, i prefer something a little warmer. That being said once applied this is way more cool toned than it looks in the stick and once you start to blend it out it looks quite muddy/patchy looking, which is not for me at all and it also took quite a while to blend also. This bronze stick retails for £1.50 and is part of the ps bronze collection, even though this particular product didn't work for me i still want to give some more items in the collection a try, especially the body bronzer.

I am such a huge fan of adding facial oil/radiance liquid to my foundation, so i thought why not give this particular one from the ps pro range and i have become obsessed with it. The thing about radiance drops/facial oils, is if you are a fellow dry skin girl or just love the dewy finish to your foundation, then these are literally going to be your best friend. They add such a subtle/radiant glow to your foundation, as well as if you have a foundation that is slightly thick, you can just add in a couple of drops to thin out the consistency and what i have learned from testing out these drops is that you don't need much at all, as it is quite a thin formula. These drops retail for £5, which i think is a bargain as you can spend anything between £20-£40 for the same type of product.

Finally we have a product that i am still undecided on, whether i love it or i think it is just mediocre and that is this strobing highlighter cream. Strobing cream is one of those products that can be used in a few different ways, either as a base, mixed in with foundation or applied straight to the highest points of the face where you would normally apply highlighter. The way i like to use it is applied straight to the highest points and then blend out with a damp beauty blender, which does blend out flawlessly and looks beautiful but you do need to apply quite a large amount of product to get the desired effect. That being said you don't mind so much as this is such a bargain at only £2 and if you are looking for a natural looking glow-y highlighter, then i do definitely recommend picking one of these up to try. I also like how nice and sleek the packaging looks, with the rose gold elements.

Hey guys, i hope you are all having an amazing day whatever you are up to! So we are half way through the month and i have already broken a new years resolution, which was to not buy so much makeup but let's face it... we all know that's never going to happen ha ha. I nipped into my local boots for a new facial wash as i had drastically ran out of my usual Elemis one and let's just say obviously i couldn't not take a look around the makeup stands...

ZOEVA LUXE COLOR BLUSHES

Hey guys, i hope you are all having an amazing day whatever you are up to! The other day i ordered a couple of blushes by a brand from Germany called Zoeva, which many of you might be familiar with for their makeup brushes. I have wanted to try out some of their makeup collection for a while now and thought i would start off with some blushes. as i have heard amazing reviews on them and so far so good...i am not disappointed!

The two shades i decided to give a try are "rush, rush" (left) and "shy beauty" (right).

They come with very simple yet sleek black packaging with the "zoeva" logo in the bottom corner. I love the finish to the packaging as it feels really luxurious unlike some packaging where it feels it could snap off its hinges any minute, it also comes mirrored which is another bonus (you can never have too many mirrors ha ha). These blushes retail for 7.80EUR from the Zoeva website or £6.95 from Beauty Bay.

As well as having really nice packaging the product is just as good if not better. The texture of the blushes are so velvety smooth and not powdery in the slightest, which is always better to work with when applied to the skin. The formula of the blushes are really pigmented, long lasting and look so beautiful on the skin as well as in the pan.

BEAUTYBAY HAUL

Hey guys, i hope you are all having an amazing day whatever you are up to! So over the Christmas/Festive break i made a sneaky order on BeautyBay.com, even though i told myself that i was going to be good and not buy anything in the sales. In my own defense though all i was going to order was a new eyebrow brush but who can resist a 50% off sale? This haul is full of items from BeautyBay's own brand collection which i have never tried anything from before, i have only ever ordered other brand items from them. So far, so good though i am impressed...

BLOGMAS DAY FIVE: MAC HOLIDAY

Hey guys, i hope you are all having an amazing day and welcome to day five of blogmas! A bonus thing about this time of year for all us beauty junkies is definitely all the Christmas palette's and limited edition gift sets. For today's post i thought i would share with you two of my favourite pieces from the MAC Heirloom Mix Holiday Collection, which i actually shown one of the items in my November favourites...

First things first let's take a moment to step back and appreciate how stunning the packaging is in the entire collection. The glitter theme which runs through out is perfect for the Holidays.

This particular eyeshadow palette is from the Keepsakes eyes section of the collection. There is a total of three palettes: Beige Eyes, Smoky Eyes and Plum Eyes. This particular palette i went for is the Smoky Eyes one, as the shades sum me up in one as i love me a neutral/smoky eye look. This palette comes with 8 shadows, a mix of matte and shimmer.
Shades:
Fancy Dress, Kid, Honey Lust, Satin Taupe, Forgery, Divine Rule, Noble Spirit and Carbon.

This is a gift set from the Objects of Affection section. The gift sets come with 5 pigments and this particular one is the Pink and Rose Pigments and Glitter (which are obviously all shimmer).
Shades:
Whisper Pink, Tan, Rose, Reining Riches and Heritage Rouge.

I would love to know if any of you have purchased anything from the MAC holiday collection and what is your favourite thing from the collection?

Dashing Santa (Bath Bomb) - £2.95
Candy Mountain (Bubble Bar) - £2.75

MINI LUSH HAUL

Hey guys, i hope you all had a great weekend whatever you were up to! This weekend i went out for a lovely meal with family on Saturday and yesterday i headed into Nottingham shopping with my sister. This time of year is always super exciting especially when they bring out the Lush Christmas items out, so naturally a little damage had to be done. I never like to go too crazy in Lush because you can always nip in and get more whenever you need to...

Melting Marshmallow Moment (Bath Melt) - £3.95

Dashing Santa (Bath Bomb) - £2.95

Lush Luxury Pud (Bath Bomb) - £3.50

And of course saving the best Lush product ever until last...
Snow Fairy Shower Gel (500g) - £11.95

What is your favourite thing to get from Lush?

MILANI COSMETICS: LIP CRAZY

Hey guys, i hope you are all having a great day whatever you are up to! When i say i have been wanting to try out some Milani products out for so long, that is an understatement but FINALLY i can. The thing i have been wanting to try out is their lip products as i hear so many American beauty lovers raving about how amazing yet affordable the brand is. Obviously because i finally got my hands on some products i have to say a huge thanks to Beauty Joint for making it happen. If you don't know what beauty joint is, it's basically a site where you can have different makeup and beauty items shipped worldwide to you in case your country doesn't sell a specific brand you want to try. I don't plan to go into too much detail in this post as i plan on doing a more in depth review in the very near future...

Milani Color Statement Lipstick in the shade 21 Sangria - $5.69 or £3.55
Milani Color Statement Lipstick in the shade 33 Rose Amour - $5.69 or £3.55
Milani Brilliant Shine Lipgloss in the shade 04 Mauve Fetish - $5.99 or £3.74
Milani Brilliant Shine Lipgloss in the shade 14 Black Cherry - $5.99 or £3.74

If there are so many different brands you are curious about trying and can't get your hands on then take a look on Beauty Joint's website here: http://beautyjoint.com/

BABY HAUL

Hey guys, i hope you are all having a great day whatever you are up to! So i mentioned in a previous post that i am going to become an Auntie for the third time next month and i am so excited. So today i thought i would share with you some of the bits that i have been picking up for the baby (baby shopping is so fun). The majority of the things i have purchased are pretty much just essentials but super cute! Just as a disclaimer i know this won't be for everyone but i thought it would be nice for something a little different and could also give other people some ideas if maybe they are expecting or maybe becoming an auntie/uncle or even a friend of theirs is having a baby...

And that is everything i have purchased so far. I also have to show you this super cute baby grow that my sister also got whilst we were out shopping...

How cute is that? I can't wait to see what my two nieces are going to be like with the baby, i know they are excited to be big sister's.
