FEBRUARY MUST-BUYS | CLOTHING, BEAUTY + BOOKS

Hello everyone! First of all how is it February already? and second of all how cold is it in the UK right now? Towards the end of January i picked up a few new winter wardrobe essentials, along with a few other sneaky purchases. With that in mind i thought today's post would be the perfect opportunity to share with you a selection my must-buys for February, from clothing to beauty and even books...

1. inthestyle billie faiers black polka dot tshirt | click to buy |
First up is one of my favourite pieces i picked up from In The Style recently, i know it doesn't look the warmest of clothing items but would be warmer styled with a jacket or chunky knit cardigan during the winter. This particular piece also comes in a white with black polka dots, as well as a bodysuit version, which i also have my eye on.

2. gentleman sinner by jodi ellen malpas | click to pre-order |
Next up is a book and one that i simply can't wait to get my hands on and binge-read, because i already know i am going to love this book as Jodi is my favourite author and i have never not loved one of her books. I am also looking forward to Jodi's book The Protector being released in movie form on Passionflix at the end of this month!

3. inthestyle sarah ashcroft nude colour block jumper | click to buy |
Another piece from my recent In The Style order is from the new Sarah Ashcroft range and definitely one of my favourites from the new collection, which has so many great pieces this time around. I love how cosy and comfortable this jumper is. I also picked up a cropped neon colour jumper, which for a neutrals girl is out of my comfort zone yet i am loving it.

4. mua pro base primer oil | click to buy |
A couple of skincare/makeup items that i have been loving using the past few weeks which are from MUA's pro base range, which are super affordable yet amazing quality. I love using facial oil's for hydrating the skin before applying my makeup, as i just feel like my makeup applies/lasts so much better when i do and i was so surprised at how good this particular one was as it was just £4! You can pick this primer oil up in a couple of different versions, including one with gold infused within the product.

5. adidas originals trefoil tshirt | click to buy |
Back to clothing and this past month i have picked up a selection of pieces from Adidas, as i have been loving wearing the pieces on more casual days. This particular t-shirt is one of my favourites from what i picked up, along with the long sleeve three stripe tshirt in the most beautiful rose/pink shade.

6. mua pro base moisturising primer | click to buy |
Finally another skincare/makeup item from MUA that i have been enjoying reaching for recently is this moisturising primer, if you are a fan of super light weight moisturisers/primers that do the job yet sink into the skin quickly then i would highly recommend giving this one a try, for just £4 also you can't really go wrong.

BACK TO BASICS: QUICK MAKEUP IN TEN MINUTES

Hello everyone! So now that we are definitely back to normal after Christmas and New Year's, i am definitely back to doing quick ten minute makeup looks on an everyday basis. When it comes to doing a quick makeup look for me personally i like to focus on the base, then keep everything else pretty simple and neutral...

1. maybelline fit me matte + poreless foundation | click to buy |
The first step once the clock starts after i have completed my skincare routine is of course foundation and if you have read my posts for a while, then you will already know this foundation is my go-to. This foundation for me lasts all day long without needing touch-ups, it applies/blends out effortlessly and looks flawless yet natural. I always pick mine up in the shade 220, which is natural beige and it always matches me perfectly.

2. anastasia beverly hills dipbrow pomade | click to buy |
Next i like to go in quickly filling in my brows using another go-to product of mine and a favourite of many, of course i am talking about the famous Anastasia Beverly Hills dipbrow pomade. My brows are naturally super full these days, which luckily means i don't have to spend too much time on them and this definitely has cut the time i have to spend doing my makeup down by a lot.

3. ps my perfect colour concealer | click to buy |
Going in with concealer next and i am back to using one of my favourite concealers, after a little hiatus due to the fact no Primark stores near me seemed to had any in stock. That being said i finally managed to pick some more up after they finally re-stocked in my local store. I love how this concealer is has great coverage, blends out effortlessly, doesn't crease and basically ticks all of the right boxes. Did i also mention that this concealer is just £2, such a bargain!

4. laura mercier translucent loose powder | click to buy |
For powder i have recently switched back to reaching for another old favourite, which i am really enjoying using again and i forgot how much i love the finish of. I have not used loose setting powder for a hot minute now, as i always tend to reach for my bareMinerals powder duo. As i do have normal/dry skin i can get away with using just a small amount of powder, i mainly just set all of the areas i have placed concealer and then with whatever is left set the rest of my face.

5. bareMinerals candlelight glow illuminator | click to shop bareMinerals |
When it comes to highlighter i do switch between a few of my different favourites, but they all always tend to be a golden shade. That being said for quick makeup looks this highlighter from bareMinerals is always one a gravitate towards, as it is quick to apply/blend out and has a beautiful natural cream to powder finish.

6. bareMinerals invisible bronze bronzer | click to shop bareMinerals |
Can you tell i love bareMinerals for base products? That being said this bronzer is definitely my favourite of the bunch, so much so i have barely reached for another bronzer ever since i tried it out. I have the shade Medium, which leaves you with a flawless yet natural bronze sun-kissed look to the skin that lasts all day without fading or going patchy. I will also go in with a small amount quickly on my eyes, rather than using eyeshadow.

7. MUA amplify volume mascara | click to buy |
As i mentioned at the beginning of the post once my base makeup is complete, i like to keep things super simple and that means all that i apply to my eyes then is some mascara. This mascara is one that i recently picked up again, after loving it so much the first time around. I love how it separates your lashes, leaving them looking full, long and clump free. For everyday makeup looks, i will just apply mascara to my top lashes only.

8. mac cosmetics matte lipstick in the shade kinda sexy |click to buy |
Finally all that is left to do is go in with lipstick and considering this particular shade of lipstick isn't my usual go-to kind of nude shade, i am still really enjoying wearing it on a everyday basis as it is just the most beautiful natural pinky-rose nude shade.

MY JANUARY MUST-BUYS | CLOTHING + ACCESSORIES

Hello everyone! I know that in my goals for 2019 post i said that for January my aim was to spend less and save more, but that being said i really wanted to still share my monthly must-buys post. Seeing as i skipped on sharing my must-buys at the end of last year, i thought i would share with you some of the must-buy items that i picked up towards the end of last year/the start of this year so far...

So first up is something that i had wanted to get for a while and that is a smartwatch, which i finally ended up getting one for Christmas. Smartwatches are such a great way to track your health and fitness on a daily basic, especially for making sure you get in those 10,000 steps a day. I have the white and rose gold FitBit Versa, which is an exclusive to Amazon edition. I love how sleek the watch it, as well as the fact it goes with anything i wear. My favourite features (which you can keep a track on via the app) are the sleep tracker, exercise features to help achieve your goals and an hours active feature.

2. damien: a stark novel book six | kindle edition |
I am so excited to get reading this book, as i have loved every single book in the series previous and i highly recommend giving the series a read. These books have always been those that have completely captured me and forced me to want to binge read them, as i just couldn't put them down. The reason for me being so excited for this book is the fact that it is all from Damien's p.o.v and i am so intrigued to know what is going off in that head of his, after all these years just as i was to jump inside Jesse's head in the With This Man book.

I picked these up just before Christmas as a back up plan for Christmas Day but i ended up wearing them on New Year's instead. The fit of these are so nice, with a skinny fit but as they are a "jegging type" pull-on jean it makes them super comfortable. I actually mentioned on Twitter how they made me think of Ross from Friend's every time i went to the bathroom and prayed i wouldn't end up in that situation, as this effect trousers always makes me think of that episode.

With it being January, of course everyone seems to have gone fitness wear crazy and Primark by far have really impressed me, with their new range of active wear. They have a wide range of sports bra's/crop tops that are just £5, which is such a bargain and they are super comfortable to workout in. They of course also do the matching bottoms to the tops, along side hoodies, sweatshirts and bottoms and everything is such a good price.

If you have read a lot of my posts previously, then you will know i love Boohoo and especially their slogan t-shirts at the moment. I recently picked up this Le Femme slogan tee in black (which is currently unavailable) but it also comes in white and grey. What i love about Boohoo is the pricing is super affordable, everything is very on trend at the time and the quality of the clothing is always so good.

6. adidas superstar trainers | office |
I am usually only really into wearing all white trainers, that being said my niece actually has this pair of Superstars by Adidas with the black detailing and i thought how nice they looked. So of course over Christmas i got my hands on pair from Office and saved a ton of money on them, as not only did i pick up them in a junior sizing (which is a hack if you are a size 3-5) as they are cheaper in general but they also had a discount over on at the time.

7. cream cable detail knitted jumper | prettylittlething |
Finally through-out December i had picked up so many different jumpers, mainly from Missguided and of course Prettylittlething. Jumpers are such a winter wardrobe staple as the weather is super cold at the moment and all you want to do is keep warm, yet still look put together. I love, love, love this cream (almost white) cable knitted jumper as it is super cosy. Also looking at the two items together on the page, i feel like the jumper and coated jeans would look good paired together.

2018 MOST READ POSTS

Hello everyone and Happy Monday! Even though we are now almost a week into a new year, i still wanted to give a little recap from the past year on my blog before moving on to this year. This type of post has become a little bit of a tradition on my blog for the past few years, which i tend to split into two separate posts...

my go-to summer lip combinations (wednesday 20th june)
First up throwing things back to Summer, was a post where i shared several of my go-to lip combinations for the current season and of course it was all about the nude shades but let's face it, when isn't it? A lot of these nudes are still some of my everyday go-to products, whether that be a lip liner, liquid lipstick or a gloss.

If you read my previous post talking all things goals for 2019, then you will know that last year i really changed my lifestyle and started eating healthy, as well as exercising. During the summer i shared a few "what i ate in a day" posts, especially as part of my motivation monday series and shared a lot of the foods i had been eating, as well as talking about a routine and calorie counting.

six must binge-read books (friday 17th august)
For the past few years i have really got back into reading and i have now read, re-read and loved so many different books. I have shared a huge selection of books that have been on my must-read list and also on my want to read. Back in August i shared a selection of books that i had recent read, that were binge-read worthy.

Music is definitely one of my favourite things and i rarely go a day without listening to Spotify, i especially love listening to music whilst getting reading in a morning and also whenever i am working out. I love to know what music other people are listening to, as it is a great way to discover not only new songs but also new artists and that is one of the main reasons i have loved sharing my music at the moment.

h&m picks from the weekend (monday 29th october)
Back in October i shared a different style of fashion related post, by sharing a selection of favourite items that i had spotted over the weekend in H&M. H&M is definitely one of my favourite shops at the moment, as they have so many great pieces for autumn/winter and for an affordable price, both in store and online.

everyday makeup: november edition (monday 5th november)
Finally we have my everyday makeup from the back end of last year, which always seem to be a popular choice. Some months i will change up my everyday makeup routine every month and then sometimes i will keep it the same for two-three months, that being said whenever things change i will always keep things updated.

HAPPY NEW YEAR: 2019 GOALS

Hello everyone and Happy New Year! I hope you all had a lovely festive break, which talking of breaks i decided to take one myself the last couple of weeks in December. That being said i am actually glad to get back to normality and glad for to hit refresh for a new year, which i am so motivated for. With that in mind for the first post of the year, i thought it would only be right to share some of my goals for the year...

1. keep up with healthy eating/lifestyle
If you read some of my motivation monday posts back last summer, then you will already know that around February time i decided to completely change my diet/lifestyle and become fit and healthy by working out and eating cleaner. Doing just that has completely changed me as a person and i honestly feel so much better/happier about myself in general (mentally and physically). That being said i did allow myself from Christmas Eve to New Years to eat what i wanted as it was Christmas, but i still kept up with my workouts. Now everything is back to normal i am glad to be back to normality, eating clean and working out, which is why keeping up what i started last year is one of my main goals for 2019.

2. spend less/save more
This year i definitely want to make it one of my goals to spend less and save a lot more money. One of the things i am definitely going to cut back on is spending money on makeup for the sake of it, when it is a complete waste of money as i already have a ton in my collection. I also want to be savvy with my money and if there is something i want, then wait it out until there is a discount code or it comes on promotion, rather than wanting to get it there and then. (Disclaimer i am not going on a complete makeup ban, i will still share beauty related posts and be picking up the essentials).

3. pick up reading again
So for the past few years ever since setting a resolution to read more books, i had become a complete book worm and worked my way through so many. That being said the last couple of months in 2018 i kind of took a hiatus for some reason, but i am ready to get straight back into some new reads for the new year with the help of the Goodreads book challenge.

4. do what makes me happy
Anybody that knows me knows i am such a people please-r and half of the time (ok most of the time) i will go along with something, just because that is what someone else wants to do (even if i hate doing it). I also tend to care too much about what people think. That being said this year i am going to set myself the goal of doing the things what make me happy and not care so much about what other people think, because at the end of the day you are you for you and nobody else!

5. become more organised/tidy
I am one of those people that will spend hours organising/tidying up and i always say "i will keep everything tidy now" and a little while later it is just a mess again. That being said i always find that if things are organised/tidy, then you kind not only find something a lot faster but your mind feels a lot clearer and keeps you in a better frame of mind.

and now for a few smaller goals for 2019:

- stress less about the things that aren't important

- try new things without having a pre-conceived idea of what it is like

- use less plastic

- spend less time on social media/take a break

-   plan ahead more

- but also do something spontaneous

- take up running

- try and stick to posting "what i ate in a days" more regular

I hope you have a lovely weekend and i will be back on Monday with a new post...

THE BAKES OF CHRISTMAS PAST

Hello everyone! In previous years by now i would already got at least two or three Christmas themed baking posts ready to go, oh how times have changed. Since changing the way i eat/lifestyle at the start of the year (which i have touched on in previous posts), i have obviously cut down the amount of unhealthier options by a lot. That being said i do plan on squeezing an all new baking post before the big day later on in the month, until then i am trying to hold off. Keeping in mind that not every one likes to resist the urge to indulge at this time of year, i thought i would share with you a round up of some of my personal favourite festive bakes...

carrot and gingerbread cupcakes | click to bake |
First up is a twist on a cake that Nigella Lawson did last year, but rather than one large cake i made the recipe into cupcake form. Personally for me carrot cake is hands down one of my favourite, along side gingerbread so combine the two together and you are in for a treat. Cupcakes are such an easy thing to make, as you basically have a classic base then all you can do to switch things up is add in any flavouring and decorate how you choose.

mincemeat, pecan and cinnamon crumble bars | click to bake |
Just looking back and remembering how yummy these crumble bars were, just makes me want to either lick the screen or cave and make them right now. I am such a mince pie fan when it comes to Christmas desserts and this is the perfect twist on a classic, which is just a little more modern with the added flavours and textures from the pecans and cinnamon.

chocolate holly cupcakes | click to bake |
Next up is definitely one for any chocolate lovers out there and even more so if you love both cupcake and anything chocolatey. Yet again this is another cupcake recipe that you can use and decorate as you choose to do, but i personally love how with the added holly shaped icing on top makes the cupcakes look more like Christmas puddings. Another great decoration topping idea is to add some different coloured M&M's placed around and on-top of some black pen icing, for the appearance of fairy lights.

MY FOUR NAIL POLISH FAVOURITES FOR AUTUMN/WINTER

Hello everyone! If you have read my posts previously or you know me, then you will know already that i am such a neutrals girl at heart from anything neutral toned to nude lip products and of course when it comes to nail colours also. For me there is just something about autumn/winter time that always makes me want to bring out the darker nail polish shades, whether that be red tones or berry tones. That being said for today's instalment i thought i would share four of my personal favourite nail polishes for autumn/winter this year...

essie nail lacquer in the shade russian roulette | click to buy |
First up we have two of my favourite non-nude nail polishes by Essie, starting with the shade Russian Roulette which is the most beautiful bright red with almost a creamy orange under-tone to do and a glossy finish. This nail polish is that perfect Christmas party or even Christmas day shade of red, as it is such a classic and easy to wear colour. The thing i always have to say about Essie nail polishes is even though they are the "more expensive" side when it comes to drugstore nail polishes, they are definitely worth spending that little bit more on.

essie nail lacquer in the shade bordeaux | click to buy |
The next nail polish also by Essie this time a shade called Bordeaux which is definitely more on the dark side when it comes to nail colour, as it is this dark wine/burgundy shade also with a glossy finish. Unlike Russian Roulette which is more on the fun side of things when it comes to choosing a nail colour, i always feel like Bordeaux definitely gives off more of a sexy vibe. Even though this shade is super dark in tone it is in no way hard to apply, as dark shades formula's can be fairly thick and harder to apply but with Essie's darker shades that is not the case at all. As this shade is dark, you definitely only need to apply two coats unlike when you were to apply a much light shade of polish.

barry m gelly high shine nail polish in the shade blackerry | click to buy |
Next up ironically we have two shades from Barry M's Gelly Hi-Shine collection, which is a selection of different shades with a gel-like finish. First up is the last dark nail polish of the post called Blackberry, Blackberry is a very dark purple shade with a blue tone to it. The thing i will say about the darker shades from the Gelly collection can have that thicker almost gloopy texture to them, so make sure you shade the bottle well and don't overload the brush with product. This is a polish that you could get away with just applying one coat, but i personally always like to opt for two.

barry m gelly high shine nail polish in the shade peanut butter | click to buy |
Finally i am finishing this post up with an all year round favourite of mine now, also from the Barry M Gelly collection and of course i had to sneak a nude in there somewhere. This particular shade is called Peanut Butter (which lets face it sells you just with it's name), Peanut Butter is the most beautiful caramel/peach-y nude shade of nail polish. Unlike some nudes this particular one is definitely slightly on the darker scale of nude, which is what makes is perfect to wear on your nails all year round.

MISSGUIDED AUTUMN/WINTER WARMER PICKS

Hello everyone! So the weather has definitely taken a turn for the worse and when i say worse, i mean it is freezing cold in the UK at the moment. Keeping that in mind i have noticed a wide range of new-in pieces on the Missguided site that are the perfect winter warmer pieces, to keep you looking/feeling toasty warm and i thought why not share my top picks with you all...

1. black faux leather biker jacket | £45 | - click to buy |
For me personally a black leather jacket is a wardrobe staple for all year round, especially for autumn/winter as you can either dress them up or down. I love this particular style with the faux fur collar and if i had seen this one before the new one i recently picked up on ASOS first, i definitely think i would of gone for this one. I love pairing them with a top/jumper, jeans and either boots or trainers, leather jackets also look great styled with scarves.

2. cream oversized boxy shaggy teddy jacket | £65 | - click to buy |
Something that is a huge trend for this autumn/winter season is faux fur/teddy jackets, which lets face it aren't they just so cosy and warm? I love this particular style as it isn't too long in length, which i am not a huge fan of as i am only 5ft2. This particular jacket also comes in a variety of different colours from cream to black and even a beautiful red colour.

3. petite black cropped boxy denim jacket | £25 | - click to buy |
I love denim jackets for more casual looks, especially this boxy style as you can layer with them easier during autumn/winter and look good paired with jumpers, unlike a regular fit denim jacket. This particular black boxy style is available in both regular fit and petite, for me personally as i am a little shorter petite fit always fits me a lot better than a regular fit. Another selling point for this jacket is how affordable it is at just £25, for such a well made/great quality jacket. I have had a few Missguided jackets over the years, that last/wear well.

4. grey cable knitted boyfriend jumper | £25 | - click to buy |
Something that is definitely a winter wardrobe staple is knitwear/jumpers and Missguided definitely have a huge selection to choose from, including this super cosy cable knit jumper that is available in six different colours but personally i love this grey colour. They also have different styles of knit jumpers from more fitted styles to off the shoulder style and super-oversized jumpers. The pricing of jumpers range from £10 to around £25/30 (all depending on the style) and they also wash really well.

5. black faux suede western ankle boots | £28 | - click to buy |
A style that i am personally enjoying wearing so far this autumn/winter season is ankle grazer style skinny jeans, paired with black suede ankle boots. I have a few pairs in my wardrobe including a couple of pairs i recently picked up similar to this style, one heeled and one more on the flat side. The thing i love about Missguided shoes is they are super comfy to wear/walk in for a long time without your feet aching.

6. black zig zag pattern scarf | £12 | - click to buy |
Finally, no autumn/winter wardrobe is complete without a staple scarf to layer up with when going out in the cold. The perfect thing about picking up a scarf that is either black or neutral, it is going to go with so many different outfits and whatever jacket/coat you decide to pair it with. I definitely think i am going to pick this particular scarf up, to style with a leather jacket, black jeans and heeled ankle boots for the perfect "shopping" look.

EVERYDAY MAKEUP | NOVEMBER EDITION

Hello everyone! For a while i had been reaching for the same products over and over, which i had mentioned in my previous everyday makeup post but i thought why not switch out a couple of things and i actually found myself reaching for some old favourites again, as well as some new ones...

First up for foundation is an old favourite and still a favourite now, after picking up another bottle recently. What i have always loved about this foundation is that the coverage is full yet still natural and feels like nothing on the skin, as well as lasting all day long (which for me is always a must). The finish of this foundation is definitely more of the natural-luminous finish.

I first used this concealer constantly when it first launched as i loved it, then i discovered the my perfect colour concealer from Primark which i loved even more. That being said i have had to go back to this concealer as i am completely out of my back-ups and i can't find the concealer anywhere anymore in the Primark's local to me, so i don't know if it has been discontinued or if it is simply out of stock. That being said this concealer is simply as beautiful, lightweight and has great coverage. Then all i do is set both my foundation/concealer in place with my trusty bareMinerals powder duo, which keeps everything in place all day long and no need for touch-ups.

So i have gone back to doing my brows the regular way, using a pomade over using the revolution brow tint and even though using the brow tint saves time, in the long run i found i was having to reach for something for touch-ups more and more. Of course i had to reach for my all time favourite by Anastasia Beverly Hills, along side my favourite tinted brow gel by MAC.

On an everyday basis i like to keep my eye makeup super simple and quick to do, so i tend to just reach for one shade that i can simply pop on and blend out. Sometimes i will just reach for the bronzer that i am using but sometimes i will reach for a shade from a palette, like at the moment i am loving using the shade Eerily Empty which is the most beautiful neutral warm camel matte shade from the Zoeva matte eyeshadow palette.

So another thing i have been doing on an everyday basis is simply just applying mascara to my top lashes, rather to both top and bottom as it looks a lot more natural and significantly reduces the risk of getting any transfer on your under-eye area. I am also still loving this mascara from Primark, which is such a bargain for a mascara at just £3 and especially because i actually like it better than the majority of the high-end mascaras i have tried in the past.

No matter what the season is for me personally, i love a good golden/bronze highlighter and for me Gilded Honey is one of those that is always at the top of my favourites list. The pigmentation/texture of this highlighter is simply beautiful, as it is a super fine, yet smooth and easy to blend leaving you with this stunning gold highlight to the skin.

I mentioned this product first in my previous everyday makeup post, as i had been really loving using it as an everyday eye colour. That being said now i have been using it for its "actual" purpose, which is as an all over face colour and for me this shade is perfect as a bronzer for me. The way that this mineral powder just blends out effortlessly and naturally, just leaving you with a bronzed look and some dimension to the face is just simply beautiful. I am not 100% sure if i love reaching for it as much as a pressed powdered bronzer, like my favourite invisible bronze bronzer also by bareMinerals but it is a close second.

Finally for lips i have been switching between two different nude looks, one super light and the other more of a deep nude perfect for autumn/winter. When i just want to quick throw a lipstick on i have been reaching for KKW by Charlotte Tilbury a lot, as it is one of my favourite nudes and it is super comfortable to wear. For the darker more autumnal nude lip look, i have been loving pairing Spice lip liner and Kinda Sexy lipstick both by MAC together, as you get this beautiful neutral yet warm darker nude look when paired together. Sometimes i will just use the Kinda Sexy lipstick worn alone, which is when i want something in-between.

BEAUTY FAVOURITES | FEBRUARY

Hello everyone and welcome to the final post for the month of February! In my previous post i talked all about my more lifestyle favourites from the month, so i thought for today's instalment i would share the beauty products i have been loving this month. It is true what they say that even though February is only a few days shorter, it does make all the difference therefor i don't have a huge amount of new products to chat about...

The first one is actually a fairly boring one, as it is just face wipes but that being said i finally tried a different type of face wipe other than the Nivea exfoliating wipes. The reason for this being is i was totally out of my stash, so i picked these up in Tesco as they don't stock the Nivea ones. I actually didn't expect to like them but i really do, i have tried a different pack from Johnson's before but these are so much better because they remove all service makeup quickly and leaves your skin feeling super hydrated. I always like to use a makeup wipe, before going in with my cleanser.

So i actually first tried this eyeshadow palette out a couple of months ago, as i got it as a gift for Christmas after lusting over it for a while because let's face it the shades in this palette are me. That being said i haven't been reaching for eyeshadow all that often, especially day to day as i will usually just use some bronzer for quick. On the days/night that i did make more of an effort though, i have been reaching and loving using this palette. The shadows are pigmented, easy to blend and apply evenly which is why i always recommend Zoeva palettes to people and they aren't going to break the bank either.

I actually first mentioned this mascara that i have been reaching for a lot recently in my quick, easy + affordable weekend no makeup, makeup look post and in that post i mentioned how much of a creature of habit i am when it comes to mascara, yet this one completely took me by surprise. I love so many products from MUA but i have never tried their mascara's and seeing as it was only £3, i didn't expect anything from it but it does everything to my lashes, lengthens, leaves a voluminous finish and doesn't apply clumpy or transfer.

morphe liquid lipstick in the shade sweets
Finally we have my favourite lip combination of the month and is one i have pretty much been wearing non stop. I actually mentioned how much i loved the way Spice lip liner looks paired with a lot of different nude lip products applied on top but especially the Nip+Fab liquid lipstick in the shade Biscuit, in my recent go-to brown/nude lip liners post. This combination is just the perfect warm/brown-beige nude lip with a matte finish. That being said if i am feeling something slightly more pinkish-toned nude then i will go in with Sweets liquid lipstick from Morphe, which was from their holiday collection.

See you in March (Spring is finally on its way yay)!!!

MY GO-TO BROWN/NUDE LIP LINERS

Hello everyone! So almost a year ago now i originally shared a dedicated post talking all about my three go-to nude lip liners, which you can catch up on here if you didn't do so first time around. That being said during this autumn/winter i have really been enjoying reaching for the slightly deeper/brown tone nude lip liners, to pair up with some of my favourite nude lipsticks. As if you didn't guess by now that i am such a nude lip lover and i barely wear anything but nudes, whether that be a matte, creme or gloss finish...

First up is probably the palest shade out of the four and also the most affordable, at just £2.50 from beautybay. I have tried and loved so many products by L.A girl in the past but this one definitely is my favourite, even though i have barely spoken about it in previous posts. This particular shade is more of a pinky/nude-brown colour, which allows this lip liner to go with pretty much any shade of nude applied on top. The formula of these lip liners are super easy to control, long-wearing and come in a wide range of different deeper shades.

Another great affordable brand of lip liners i love and so much so, i pretty much own every single lip liner by them. This particular shade Cappuccino is the perfect nude/brown colour, which always gives me serious 90's lip vibes. I always like to pair this lip liner with either Yash by MAC or the Nip+Fab liquid lipstick in the shade Biscuit, to create the perfect beige/brown nude lip look. If you prefer a slightly pinker nude/brown shade (cooler in tone) than Cappuccino, then the shade Tiramisu is the perfect shade.

If i was forced to get rid of all of my lip liners from every brand but one, then i would probably keep all of my MAC liners as even though i do love other brands, these are the ones i always go back to and i think it is simply because they nail everything in one pencil. Their liners are long-wearing, easy to apply and come in pretty much any colour you could think of. The shade Spice is the newest in my collection and one that has quickly become an all time favourite, as it is the perfect warmer nude/brown-ish shade. One of my favourite ways to wear this lip liner is actually by itself, which you can get away with when it comes to MAC lip liners and even though they will set you back £14 a pencil, they last a pretty long time.

Last but not least we have probably one of the most popular lip liner shades also from MAC, which is the shade Stripdown. Just like the L.A Girl Natural Creme lip liner, this shade is one of those that pretty much goes well with any other lip colour applied on top or by itself again. Stripdown is one of those perfect nude/beige brown-ish toned shades, which is one of my favourite tones to wear along side the shade Oh Honey! also by MAC and i have gone through a few of those.

WHAT I ATE IN A DAY | JANUARY

Hello everyone! So since around last September time, i finally began to share "what i ate in a day" type of posts again after quite some time. Ever since then i have made the commitment to do an updated version at least once a month (occasionally twice). With that in mind for 2018 i have decided to share one of these posts per month, because some if not most of the time what i am eating on a everyday basis isn't too different (breakfast and lunches) except maybe for dinner times. Also if you aren't too sure on what a "what i ate in a day" post is, it is basically a food diary of every single thing you ate on a particular day.

For breakfast i am still loving granola and yogurt now and again in-between having porridge, just to switch things up. Unlike in my previous what i ate post i am switching up the Rachel's organic yogurt for a dairy free alternative, which i actually prefer and this is a vanilla flavor. Just like last time i am having it with granola which has oats, nuts, seeds, dried fruits, cacao and also some honey. For coffee i had a cappuccino with oat milk in my new Cath Kidston doggy mug, which i got as a gift for Christmas and i love it!

Lunch time and at the moment in the UK it is absolutely freezing, so i wanted something warming for lunch and something to fill me up for longer. With that in mind i opted for a spinach and chickpea soup, which at first i thought it doesn't look the most appealing thing but it tasted so yummy.

So i always used to have soy milk or almond milk in my coffees/ice coffees, whether i am at home or out and about until recently when i decided to give oat milk a try. Ever since then i am a complete convert, it is just so tasty and i heard they do it at Starbucks as well now. That being said as a mid-afternoon "snack" i just had an iced oat milk latte, to help me get through the rest of the day.

Finally for dinner time i gave something a try that i had never tried before and that is something from the Linda McCartney range, so i was intrigued to give something a go as i have seen so many people having things from the range. I decided to try one of the vegetarian mozzarella burgers which i had with some chilli chutney and pea shoots and i really enjoyed it, i would definitely have it again.

2017 MOST READ POSTS

Hello everyone! So seeing as Christmas is over and it is also almost time to say goodbye to 2017, i thought i would do a part two to a post i first shared in the middle of the year in the form of a mid-2017 most read posts. I thought this style of post is a great way to share the most read posts from the year, that you might not have seen first time around. Whilst on the subject of saying goodbye to 2017, make sure you stay tuned for my 2017 beauty favourites coming up in my next post.

So seeing as part one to my 2017 most read posts finished up in May, i thought i would pick things up from June starting with my first impression/review on finally trying some liquid lipsticks from Anastasia Beverly Hills (which i explained why in the post), still now six+ months on i still reach for the shade naked on a regular basis.

my handbag essentials (monday 17th july)
This particular post is a spin on one of my favourite types of post/video to watch and read, which is "what's in my bag" but this time i shared my handbag essentials. These essentials are everything that i tend to carry in my bag at all times, because you never know when you might need something from your keys, phone/headphones to hand sanitizer to disinfect your hands whilst out and about.

binge worthy tv shows (wednesday 30th august)
Who doesn't love a good tv show or a good tv show binge watching session? Back in August i first shared some of my favourite shows that i had recently binge watched myself, which i tend to do an updated version of sometime soon as it proved to be a really popular style of post. This post i filled of different genres of tv shows from reality to drama/period dramas and comedies.

autumn candles: the best scents (friday 22nd september)
As i mentioned in this first part of 2017 most read posts, i had really been trying to incorporate a lot more lifestyle related posts and one of the most popular types have been one of my personal favourites too, which is talking all things candles. I think if i had to choose one particular seasonal scented candles it would hands down have to be autumnal scents, because of how warm/cosy they smell.

things to do this autumn (wednesday 18th october)
Sticking with the whole autumnal themed posts and another favourite/popular one from towards the end of October/the beginning of Autumn, which was a list of things to do this autumn. I also did a follow up post to this post, which also seemed to be popular and that was a things to do this december themed post.

what i ate in a day (friday 24th november)
Finally we have a post from late last month and a type of post i had not done for a while until around September, even though it is a type of post that has always seemed to be popular read on my blog. If you don't understand the concept of a "what i ate in a day" type of post, it is basically a food diary of what you eat in one particular day from breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack.

WHAT MAKEUP I WORE ON CHRISTMAS DAY

Hello everyone, i hope you all had a lovely Christmas! For today's post i thought i would do a little spin on a "face of the day" or an everyday monthly makeup post and share with you all the makeup that i wore on Christmas day. I don't know about you but i love to make an effort on Christmas day and i always tend to go with something sparkly/glowing yet still simple-ish. Don't forget you can click on the product name/shade to shop.

I have been loving using this along side an MUA luxe strobe cream as a primer.

Ever since picking this up again on Black Friday, i haven't been able to put it down.

This is one of my all time favourite concealers and it never fails me, great coverage.

Probably my favourite powder of the year, i just love how flawless it is.

Another product that never lets me down and is always a go to of mine.

Pigments are so quick yet they look like you have put a ton of effort in, this one from last years holiday collection is my favourite and looks stunning with a bit of bronzer through the crease too.

Seeing as it was Christmas day i decided to opt with some lashes too, just for some extra drama and these red cherry lashes are simply beautiful and super in expensive.

I always opt for brown/bronze eyeliner pencils over black now, i like how it is subtle.

I love how natural looking these liquid highlighters look but they also make a great base.

Seeing as it is Christmas, i couldn't of not gone in with my limited edition highlight.

This is my favourite bronzer of all day and i use it every single day anyway, obsessed.

I go in and out of phases with using blush but this is a recent favourite that i picked up during Black Friday, which goes with every single makeup look you do.

This is one of my current favourite lip liners, as it is super creamy/hydrating.

Choosing a lipstick was the hardest part but i decided to go with this one, as it went perfectly with the lip liner/look and it also lasts for such a long time, perfect for eating/drinking.

Stay tuned for Friday's blog post, talking all things 2017!
