EVERYDAY MAKEUP | NOVEMBER EDITION

Hello everyone! For a while i had been reaching for the same products over and over, which i had mentioned in my previous everyday makeup post but i thought why not switch out a couple of things and i actually found myself reaching for some old favourites again, as well as some new ones...

First up for foundation is an old favourite and still a favourite now, after picking up another bottle recently. What i have always loved about this foundation is that the coverage is full yet still natural and feels like nothing on the skin, as well as lasting all day long (which for me is always a must). The finish of this foundation is definitely more of the natural-luminous finish.

I first used this concealer constantly when it first launched as i loved it, then i discovered the my perfect colour concealer from Primark which i loved even more. That being said i have had to go back to this concealer as i am completely out of my back-ups and i can't find the concealer anywhere anymore in the Primark's local to me, so i don't know if it has been discontinued or if it is simply out of stock. That being said this concealer is simply as beautiful, lightweight and has great coverage. Then all i do is set both my foundation/concealer in place with my trusty bareMinerals powder duo, which keeps everything in place all day long and no need for touch-ups.

So i have gone back to doing my brows the regular way, using a pomade over using the revolution brow tint and even though using the brow tint saves time, in the long run i found i was having to reach for something for touch-ups more and more. Of course i had to reach for my all time favourite by Anastasia Beverly Hills, along side my favourite tinted brow gel by MAC.

On an everyday basis i like to keep my eye makeup super simple and quick to do, so i tend to just reach for one shade that i can simply pop on and blend out. Sometimes i will just reach for the bronzer that i am using but sometimes i will reach for a shade from a palette, like at the moment i am loving using the shade Eerily Empty which is the most beautiful neutral warm camel matte shade from the Zoeva matte eyeshadow palette.

So another thing i have been doing on an everyday basis is simply just applying mascara to my top lashes, rather to both top and bottom as it looks a lot more natural and significantly reduces the risk of getting any transfer on your under-eye area. I am also still loving this mascara from Primark, which is such a bargain for a mascara at just £3 and especially because i actually like it better than the majority of the high-end mascaras i have tried in the past.

No matter what the season is for me personally, i love a good golden/bronze highlighter and for me Gilded Honey is one of those that is always at the top of my favourites list. The pigmentation/texture of this highlighter is simply beautiful, as it is a super fine, yet smooth and easy to blend leaving you with this stunning gold highlight to the skin.

I mentioned this product first in my previous everyday makeup post, as i had been really loving using it as an everyday eye colour. That being said now i have been using it for its "actual" purpose, which is as an all over face colour and for me this shade is perfect as a bronzer for me. The way that this mineral powder just blends out effortlessly and naturally, just leaving you with a bronzed look and some dimension to the face is just simply beautiful. I am not 100% sure if i love reaching for it as much as a pressed powdered bronzer, like my favourite invisible bronze bronzer also by bareMinerals but it is a close second.

Finally for lips i have been switching between two different nude looks, one super light and the other more of a deep nude perfect for autumn/winter. When i just want to quick throw a lipstick on i have been reaching for KKW by Charlotte Tilbury a lot, as it is one of my favourite nudes and it is super comfortable to wear. For the darker more autumnal nude lip look, i have been loving pairing Spice lip liner and Kinda Sexy lipstick both by MAC together, as you get this beautiful neutral yet warm darker nude look when paired together. Sometimes i will just use the Kinda Sexy lipstick worn alone, which is when i want something in-between.

DRIPPING IN GOLD | MY THREE GO-TO GOLDEN GLOW HIGHLIGHTERS

Hello everyone! So through-out my blogging years i have done many a series talking about my "three go-to" items from lip liners, to travel palettes and blushes. With that in mind i thought seeing as i hadn't done one in a hot minute, why not give you all an update on the three highlighters which are my go-to's at the moment. I am such a highlighter hoarder, just as much if not more than nude lip products and i reach for so many on a regular basis, but that being said just recently i have been reaching/switching between these three particular ones...

So this particular highlighter can be picked up in three different shades but my personal favourite/the shade that i reach for all the time, is the ever so talked about about Gilded Honey. The formula of this highlighter is basically in the title as it is super silky soft/creamy just like gelato is, this highlighter is also super pigmented leaving you with a fresh looking golden glow all day long. I love highlighting powders that are super finely milled or baked, as they always tend to apply flawlessly and this one does just that. The only thing that annoys me about this product is that to me (and i know others have said this to), you feel as if the packaging lets the product down because it is quite cheap looking for its high-end price tag.

This is a highlighter that i actually mentioned in last months beauty favourites post, which is available in two different shades Molten Gold and Molten Bronze but personally for my skin-tone/personal preference is the Molten Gold shade. I actually think that the formula of this highlighter and the Laura Geller highlighter are super similar, but this one is slightly more pigmented as it has more of a glittery tone to it rather than being baked. Drugstore highlighters can be a hit or miss thing but this particular one is a must-try, along side the next highlighter i am currently obsessed with.

Finally we have a trio of highlight shades in palette form, which comes in three different shades Gold, Ice and Metals but of course the one i have is the Gold palette. The pigmentation on these highlighters are absolutely insane, especially as these palettes only retail for £6 each...Yes £6! The formula/texture of these highlighters are also super silky soft/lightweight feeling, but as they are insanely pigmented a little goes a long way. I also love how the palette comes with three different gold tones, a Champagne shade, a Gold glittery shade and also a Rose Gold shade. Personally i mainly reach for the Gold and Rose Gold shade, somethings mixing a little bit or layering both shades together.

EVERYDAY GO-TO SPRING-ISH MAKEUP

Hello everyone! If you read my recent affordable makeup up | march lust list post, then you will probably remember me mentioning how obsessed i am with drugstore/affordable makeup at the moment (one product in-particular). With that in mind for today's post i thought i would give you an updated version of my everyday makeup products, which actually includes a bunch of different affordable makeup products that i can't seem to put down and that are perfect for this up-coming spring...

Kicking things off with my foundation of choice at the moment, which i happened to do a first impression/review post on recently. I mentioned in the review post how i honestly never thought i would end up liking this foundation, but i can't seem to put it down and i love every single thing about it. This foundation is perfect for the spring as it leaves you with the most beautiful yet natural dewy finish, that lasts all day long.

Sticking with the same product but in a couple of different shades, i have been really loving doing the whole "Kim K" thing using the sticks to contour and highlight also. First i go in with the shade F6 to highlight as it is lighter than the foundation shade, which i will place a small amount under my eyes, down the bridge of my nose and chin. Then i will take the shade F12, which is obviously a deeper shade perfect for contouring the face and i will apply that to my cheek bones, jaw, sides of my nose and forehead before blending it all.

Next up i set everywhere i placed the other stick products, starting with the matte shade in the invisible light duo to set the highlighted areas and then i go in with the invisible bronze bronzer in the shade medium to set/warm up my face where i placed the contoured areas. I am completely obsessed with using these two bareMinerals products at the moment, as they do everything i want them two and look super flawless/freshly applied all day long without needing touch-ups, which a lot of the time you need to do during the day.

Last of all for the base and probably my favourite part, yes you guessed it highlighter time and to be honest i do switch this bit up more than anything else simply because i have so many different ones that i am obsessed with. That being said just recently i have been reaching for this Gilded Honey highlighter quite a lot, as it is the most beautiful/stunning gold shade perfect for adding a spring glow like finish to the skin.

For brows i am currently back to using my dipbrow to fill in my brows, as i dropped and broke my new favourite brow pencil from Primark. To top it off the Primark near me hasn't had my shade, so i need to pick one up from a different one and hopefully they have it. To set my brows i am still using my pro longwear brow set in the shade brown/ebony, i love how the small brush is the perfect size to brush through your brows to set.

When it comes to eyes recently i have been all about keeping things simple and i have actually ditched any form of eyeliner, whether that be winged liner or in my water line. So to keep things simple all i do is apply either a little of my bronzer blended through the crease or a warm neutral shadow shade, such as the shade outdoorsy from the Dose of Colors Baked Browns palette or the shade sauced from the Urban Decay Naked Heat palette. Then for mascara on both my top and bottom lashes, i have been reaching for an recently re-purchased old favourite by L'Oréal. I love how quickly you can achieve a voluminous false lash super black lash with this mascara, which is also clump free! When it comes to drugstore/affordable mascaras you really can't go wrong with either L'Oréal or Maybelline mascaras.

Finally for lips i have actually switched things up slightly and when i say slightly i mean i have swapped the beige/brown toned nudes for a more pinky nude shade of lipstick. I think this Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick is perfect for spring time, as it adds something a little different. I really like the finish of these lipsticks, as they are pigmented, long-lasting and feel super hydrating on the lips.

MY FAVOURITE PICKS FROM MY BEAUTYBAY (30% OFF BLACK FRIDAY) ORDER

Hello everyone! So if you cast your minds back to just over two weeks ago, when it was Black Friday i shared my black friday buys from h&m, boohoo, beautybay + discount codes post and in that post i shared the majority of the things i picked up from the 30% off everything on beautybay. Keeping that in mind for today's post i thought why not share with you my favourite picks, from the items that i had picked up and have now put to the test.

I had been wanting to try this foundation out for so long now, seeing as i already love the concealer but i didn't know whether i would love the foundation or not (as it is very rare that i will like both the foundation and concealer in the same range). So seeing as there was 30% off i thought why not just pick one up to try and i am so glad that i did, as it is simply beautiful and does everything that it claims to do. The finish is illuminating but not overly shine-y, amazing coverage even if you only apply one layer yet it is build-able without being cake-y as it is a lightweight formula. I picked this foundation up in the shade Beige, but i really want to pick this up in a slightly lighter shade as this shade only works well when i am freshly tanned/darker.

So i have lusted after this highlighter for quite a while now and every now and again when i go past a Laura Geller counter, i always swatch this. The only thing that has ever put me off buying this is the packaging, to say this is more of a "high end" type of product at £16.50 the packaging is pretty simple and cheap looking (some drugstore packaging is more upmarket). That being said seeing as it was 30% off i decided to finally pick one up, because i knew how beautifully it swatched and now packaging aside i just can't put it down it is that beautiful. I love how silky smooth the texture of the baked powder is, the way it applies/stays looking freshly applied all day long and most important of all how much of a stunning gold shade it is.

This particular product is one i had wanted to pick up when i made my first order at the beginning of the 30% off week but it was actually out of stock, so when Black Friday itself beautybay did a full site re-stock and it became available again. Morphe have recently re-branded a lot of their products and as well as releasing new eye palettes etc, they have also released these limited edition holiday lip kits (one is paint the town red, the other paint the town nude). Of course i was going to pick up the nude lip kit, including the shades sweets, lulu and dainty. I wasn't sure whether i was going to love these or not but i have to say i was so surprised at how beautiful they are, as well as how moisturising/comfortable they are to wear. For £12 RRP, i think this would also make a really great gift for any makeup lover, as it comes packaged really nicely also.

Jordana is a brand that we have only just recently been able to get a hold of in the UK (thanks to beautybay) and this is a mascara i have seen many a beauty guru from other countries rave about, so i thought why not take advantage of the discount and pick one up. I am usually a KIKO 30 day lash treatment mascara or Maybelline/L'Oreal mascara kind of girl and nothing else really compares, but i must say i am really enjoying reaching for this one at the moment. I love how this mascara really separates your lashes and lengthens quite quickly without becoming clumpy in the slightest, this mascara also doesn't transfer at all as it isn't too much of a "wet-like" formula and this also comes in a volumizing formula for £6 RRP each.

QUICK ALMOST "NO MAKEUP, MAKEUP" FOR DECEMBER

Hello everyone! So at the beginning of November i shared with you all an everyday autumn speedy makeup post, which explained how i do a put together look in around 20 minutes or so. Keeping that in mind and taking into consideration how busy we all tend to be during December and not to mention how we love to sleep in longer in the mornings, lets face it when the alarm goes off it still looks like night-time outside. That being said this month i have been loving going for the whole "no makeup, makeup" look and keeping things simple.

So once all of my skincare routine is complete, i go straight in with a base for my makeup and for that i love to use some form of strobe cream, as it not only preps the skin but also moisturises and gives the appearance of a healthy glow. I first mentioned this particular strobing liquid in my recent five affordable november favourites post, where i went into full detail about the different ways to use this product.

I used to reach for this particular foundation a lot last year/the beginning of this year and then i ran out and forgot to repurchase it. That being said during Black Friday i decided to pick one up again and i honestly forgot how much i loved this foundation/concealer duo, it has amazing coverage, is light-weight and long wearing, not to mention quick/easy to blend out. I always opt for the shade 05 warm beige, as it matches me perfectly.

Once i have gone in with the base, foundation and concealer i will set my face with a light dusting on powder, which to be honest i switch up all the time as i have so many favourites. At the moment i have living for using the Laura Mercier powder again, as it is just flawless looking on the skin and is totally worth the huge mess i tend to make using it. Please tell me i am not the only one that tends to get loose powder everywhere?

Next up i will go ahead and fill in my brows lightly, as at this moment in time i am so happy with how full my brows are looking (thanks to the Benefit brow conditioning primer). I really like this pencil as it is easy to use, matches the colour of my brows perfectly and is a complete dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hills brow definer, which would cost you almost £20 more than this one.

For eyes i will keep things super simple and just curl my lashes and then go in with mascara. This KIKO mascara as you might already know is such a favourite of mine, but even more so on those quick makeup days as you can get the desired long-lash effect instantly and effortlessly.

I had my eye on this highlighter for the longest time (which i will explain in more detail in a post coming soon), but long story short i will never ever skip on highlighter and i am really loving this one at the moment, it is simply beautiful. I just apply a little to the highest points of my cheeks, tip of my nose and cupids bow for a natural yet healthy looking glow.

Final step for the face and that is to add some colour and shape back into the face, no surprise that this is the bronzer i am still reaching for and if you have been reading my posts for some time, then you will know i just can't put this one from bareMinerals down. The formula/colour of this bronzer is honestly flawless and like nothing i have ever used before.

mac cosmetics stripdown lip liner peachstock lipstick
Finally to complete the look we can't forget a good nude lip combo and this is my lip of choice this month so far. I love how the two lip products look together, as it creates the most perfect slightly brown/autumnal beige peachy nude lip. That being said some days i will switch the lip combination up but it will more than likely be a nude ha ha!
