TRAVEL BEAUTY: NEW-IN FOR SUMMER

Hello everyone! So it is coming up to that time of year that a lot of us love (me included), that time being summer/summer holiday time. When it comes to this time of year there are always a bunch of new products available from makeup to skincare and also body products, which are perfect for those summer months. With that in mind i thought i would share a selection of my personal favourite new-in products for this summer...

1. maybelline dream urban cover foundation | click to shop |
So i have always been a huge fan of Maybelline foundations, especially my all time favourite foundation the Fit Me and naturally when they launch a new foundation, i am going to want to try it asap. This foundation is an all new concept where makeup meets skincare, as the foundation is full coverage yet lightweight and has SPF50 which couldn't be more perfect for summer or whilst travelling to a hot climate.

2. mario badescu summer shine body lotion | click to shop |
It is not just the winter months that tend to dry your skin out, the summer months can be just as bad if not worse as your body is more likely to become dehydrated quicker. That being said it is super important to keep your skin super moisturised and hydrated, this Mario Badescu body lotion is the perfect candidate for not only ticking those boxes but will also leave you with a beautiful summer glow.

3. mac cosmetics x aladdin friend like me lipstick | click to shop |
First of all i literally can't contain my excited for going to see the new Aladdin movie at the cinema this coming weekend, second of all this new limited edition lipstick by MAC couldn't be any more perfect if it tried. I am obsessed with nude lip shades in general but when it is the most perfect almost cool neutral beige toned nude, i was sold immediately and the packaging is also beautiful.

4. revolution glow revolution timeless bronze | click to shop |
If you have beauty products on your radar regularly, then you will have probably seen the ever so Instagram famous Iconic London glow spray and you might also know that it isn't the most affordable spray out there. That being said Revolution to the rescue once again, launching a dupe style product which will leave you with the most beautiful glowing skin, bronze finish and with money left in the bank as it costs just £10.

5. fenty beauty pro filt'r instant retouch primer | click to shop |
I have been wanting to try something from Fenty Beauty for a while now, so the fact you can now get your hands on the entire range at Boots now is great. Out of all of the products this is the thing that catches my eye the most, as if you can suffer from shine (and not the good kind) during the summer months then this primer claims to have your back but still leaves your skin looking radiant. Also how stunning is the packaging?

6. charlotte tilbury glowgasm face palette | click to shop |
I know i mentioned before about having a product that didn't break the bank, this new-in face palette by Charlotte Tilbury is the complete opposite but it doesn't stop it from being anything but beautiful. Unlike a spray i feel like powder palettes last a lot longer and give you more value for money, this palette is filled with four equally stunning shades and of course they are encased by the most stunning signature Charlotte Tilbury packaging.

7. rimmel candy queen jelly highlighter | click to shop |
Finally we have another highlighting/glow related product (you can't have enough glow during the summer) this time a jelly formulated highlighter, which is new-in by Rimmel. I already have a jelly formula highlight from Revolution which i love the formula of, so i also think this stunning almost rose gold shade called candy queen. I am hoping this product will be another summer favourite, that will leave me with a lovely natural summer glow.

Want to know what some of the makeup products that i like to travel with? Then you can catch up on some of my previous travel beauty posts for more...

SKINCARE I WANT TO TRY FOR RADIANT GLOWING SKIN

Hello everyone! It has been a hot minute since i last shared any sort of skincare routine or skincare related post and there is an explanation for that, that reason being that i have actually been doing the same skincare routine/using the same products since last summer. I just found that all of the products i was using were really working well for me, that being said now i feel like it is time for much needed change. So i have taken the time out to research and discover what products i think would work well for me and my skin type, rather than just picking up anything and wasting my money...

1. revolution gold elixir | £10 | click to shop |
I have been a huge fan of facial oils for a while now and i always opt for one as a primer/base for my skin before going in with foundation, as i just find that they not only hydrate my skin but also help my foundation apply better, sit better on the skin and last for longer.
- rosehip seed oil
- ultra-nourishing to promote supple skin and even texture
- subtle gold flecks to boost radiance
- how to use: shake well before use. massage a few drops into skin, before makeup but after applying any water-based serums. use alone at night or in the morning mixed with foundation for a radiant finish or to make matte formulas dewier.

2. nuxe creme prodigieuse boost silky cream | £29.50 | click to shop |
So ever since last summer and before that i have been using a lot of products in my skincare routine by the brand Nuxe, as it is definitely a brand that i know works for me. Whilst searching for a new moisturiser i noticed that they have a new line of products, which all look amazing and definitely the type of products that would work with my skin type for hydration.
- redefine the facial contours and smooth out fine lines and wrinkles
- antioxidant-rich jasmine flower works to defend against the ageing effects
- fresher, brighter and younger-looking complexion
- how to use: apply in the morning to the face, neck and décolleté.

3. revolution hyaluronic acid over-night face mask | £8 | click to shop |
Face masks are an essential for any skincare routine, especially when you need an instant skin boost or instant hydration fix in the space of 10 minutes or so. That being said you want something that is a little more complex and i feel like this over-night mask/over-night masks in general, are perfect for doing just that.
- hydrate your skin overnight with this hyaluronic ccid infused treatment
- sweet almond oil
- vitamin e to moisturise
- how to use: apply to cleansed skin to soak in overnight, avoiding the eye area. cleanse any residue or massage in upon waking. use 1-2 times a week.

4. lumene nordic c pure glow cleansing balm | £15.90 | click to shop |
I have been using an oil based cleanser for the past few months now, which i did enjoy using but there is just something about a cleansing balm for removing your makeup. When i have used them in the past they have really broken down the build up of makeup a lot faster than some other formulated cleansers.
- effortlessly melting onto skin
- wild arctic plant extracts and scandinavian ingredients
- vitamin c for enhanced radiance
how to use: massage gently onto wet skin. rinse well with lukewarm water or with a dampened cloth. removes impurities and makeup without leaving a greasy residue, leaving skin feeling refreshed.

5. garnier organic argan mist | £5.29 | click to shop |
I love face mists especially in the spring/summer months, more so when it is super hot or when i need to feel instantly refreshed and awake. A lot of mists can be used also on top of makeup, as well as underneath which comes in handy.
- vegan formula: no animal derived ingredients or by products inside
- argan from morocco is organically produced and ethically sourced
- hydrates and refreshes to awaken skin
- how to use: spray at min 15cm. do not intentionally inhale. apply to the skin before completing skincare routine, before or after makeup.

6. revolution pink clay detoxing mask | £8 | click to shop |
Drifting back to to face masks, sometimes the skin or different areas of the skin need a different type of tlc. That is what the beauty of different formulated masks for different needs, which a lot of skincare brands take in to consideration.
- formulated with seaweed extract
- witch hazel to help moisturise and soothe problematic areas
- draws out impurities and absorbs oil for a healthier looking complexion
- how to use: apply an even layer to clean, dry skin avoiding contact with eye area. allow to work for 10-15 minutes. rinse well with warm water. use 1-2 times a week.

7. neutrogena radiance boost hydrogel mask | £3.50 | click to shop |
Finally we have my favourite type of face mask which is the sheet mask, i always opt for these as they are easy to use, always effective and are mess-free when applying. I usually reach for the Garnier moisture bomb sheet masks, but i really want to try out some different brands especially the ones from the Neutrogena range.
- a revitalising treatment designed in korea
-  vitamin b3
- expect a soft, fresh complexion with a luminous glow
- how to use: cleanse your face before using. peel white film backing from the mask sheet and discard. place hydrogel mask down on face and leave on from 15-30 minutes. remove the mask and massage remaining product onto face and neck.

EVERYDAY GLOW-Y SPRING MAKEUP: DRUGSTORE EDITION

Hello everyone! I mentioned in my previous post about how excited i was for this month, mainly because it is finally going to be spring and hopefully better weather is on its way very soon. With that in mind as well as preparing my wardrobe for spring, i also wanted to give my everyday makeup a switch up too. I had touched on it in a previous post how i had been on makeup buying ban, as i really didn't need anymore makeup but i did want to add a few new things just to switch things up. So i ended up placing an order on Superdrug to try some new drugstore pieces and i have ended up loving how my everyday makeup has been looking recently...

1. MUA pro base primer oil | click to buy |
So first up is this primer oil by MUA that i have been using every single day before i apply my makeup since towards the end of January, it is also one of the products that i mentioned in my february must-buys post. I love using facial oil's for hydration before applying my makeup, as i just feel like my makeup applies/lasts so much longer when i do and to say this product is just £4 i feel like it is just as good if not better than some higher end products that i have tried in the past.

2. maybelline dream satin liquid foundation | click to buy |
When i first spotted this foundation on the Superdrug website i was little confused, as i feel like this was a foundation that already existed or have they just re-branded the product? Anyway i decided to pick one up and give it a try, as i love Maybelline foundations, as you will already know if you have read my posts in the past because the Fit Me foundation is my go-to. What i love about this foundation is how much like skin your face still looks once it has been applied, yet it still has really good coverage and it leaves you with this beautiful yet natural radiant look.

3. barry M all night long concealer | click to buy |
I had seen a fair few people talking about this concealer by barry M and i have tried/loved one of their concealers in the past, so naturally i was intrigued to give it a try. The coverage of this concealer for such an affordable price is so good and it ticks all of the boxes, coverage wise, lightweight feeling, long lasting and brightening.

4. MUA luxe bronze & sculpt contour kit | click to buy |
So this product isn't a new-in product to my collection, it is one that i have loved for a while and it is that perfect spring/summer bronze shade, you know the kind that looks perfect with a tan. This product is one of those great travel friendly items to have in your collection as it contains both a bronzer and highlighter but i do generally just reach for the bronzer shade.

5. revolution jewel collection jelly highlighter |click to buy |
Back to something that is newer to my collection and one that i wasn't sure whether i was going to like it or not, but once again i was left feeling shocked at how beautiful it was. This highlighter by Revolution is a jelly like consistency and it isn't the kind of highlighter i would usually opt for, as i am such a powder or cream kind of girl. That being said i love how easy this product was to apply and blend out, leaving my skin glowing yet it still looked super natural and fresh. Once the product is blended in, it actually reminded me of my favourite bareMinerals highlighter and that is a cream to powder highlight.

6. revolution opulence highlight | click to buy |
This particular highlighter is one that i had wanted to try for a while but as i was on a makeup spending ban, i never picked it up. That being said i am so glad i finally did as it is the most beautiful powder highlighter, that the shades can be used individually or all together. Recently i have been reaching for one of the two highlighters, all depending on which one i feel like using that day but what i do love using the lightest shade in this compact to highlight my inner corner of my eyes with.

7. revolution pro microblading precision brow pencil | click to buy |
Is is just me or does anyone else feel like Revolution are killing the drugstore makeup game once again? I been obsessing over this brow pencil, which is so strange as i am such a pomade girl but i must admit i love how this leaves my brows looking. As the product suggests you can be super precise with this pencil with your brows, so much so it actually reminds me of the Benefit precisely by brow pencil but super affordable of course.

8. MUA amplify statement lash mascara | click to buy |
The only product that i haven't switched up is my mascara as i am still really enjoying using this one, which is by MUA once again.  I love how this mascara separates your lashes, leaving them looking full, long and clump free. For everyday makeup looks, i will just apply mascara to my top lashes only as i actually prefer the way that looks now.

9. maybelline color sensational creamy mattes lipstick | click to buy |
Finally for lips i love this Maybelline matte lipstick shade for spring, as it is the most beautiful light peachy-pink beige shade that is perfect for everyday wear. This is a matte finish lipstick but it isn't overly drying that some matte bullet lipstick can be, but if you do want to add a little gloss you can do easily as it goes with pretty much any gloss.

FEBRUARY MUST-BUYS | CLOTHING, BEAUTY + BOOKS

Hello everyone! First of all how is it February already? and second of all how cold is it in the UK right now? Towards the end of January i picked up a few new winter wardrobe essentials, along with a few other sneaky purchases. With that in mind i thought today's post would be the perfect opportunity to share with you a selection my must-buys for February, from clothing to beauty and even books...

1. inthestyle billie faiers black polka dot tshirt | click to buy |
First up is one of my favourite pieces i picked up from In The Style recently, i know it doesn't look the warmest of clothing items but would be warmer styled with a jacket or chunky knit cardigan during the winter. This particular piece also comes in a white with black polka dots, as well as a bodysuit version, which i also have my eye on.

2. gentleman sinner by jodi ellen malpas | click to pre-order |
Next up is a book and one that i simply can't wait to get my hands on and binge-read, because i already know i am going to love this book as Jodi is my favourite author and i have never not loved one of her books. I am also looking forward to Jodi's book The Protector being released in movie form on Passionflix at the end of this month!

3. inthestyle sarah ashcroft nude colour block jumper | click to buy |
Another piece from my recent In The Style order is from the new Sarah Ashcroft range and definitely one of my favourites from the new collection, which has so many great pieces this time around. I love how cosy and comfortable this jumper is. I also picked up a cropped neon colour jumper, which for a neutrals girl is out of my comfort zone yet i am loving it.

4. mua pro base primer oil | click to buy |
A couple of skincare/makeup items that i have been loving using the past few weeks which are from MUA's pro base range, which are super affordable yet amazing quality. I love using facial oil's for hydrating the skin before applying my makeup, as i just feel like my makeup applies/lasts so much better when i do and i was so surprised at how good this particular one was as it was just £4! You can pick this primer oil up in a couple of different versions, including one with gold infused within the product.

5. adidas originals trefoil tshirt | click to buy |
Back to clothing and this past month i have picked up a selection of pieces from Adidas, as i have been loving wearing the pieces on more casual days. This particular t-shirt is one of my favourites from what i picked up, along with the long sleeve three stripe tshirt in the most beautiful rose/pink shade.

6. mua pro base moisturising primer | click to buy |
Finally another skincare/makeup item from MUA that i have been enjoying reaching for recently is this moisturising primer, if you are a fan of super light weight moisturisers/primers that do the job yet sink into the skin quickly then i would highly recommend giving this one a try, for just £4 also you can't really go wrong.

MUST-TRY BUDGET WEATHER-PROOF LEAVE-IN CONDITIONER

Hello everyone! If you are anything like me and suffer with curly/frizzy hair but always want your hair to stay straight and frizz-free, then you will have probably of tried your fair share of products to help avoid this from happening. Over the past couple of months i have been putting to the test this budget friendly leave-in conditioner that has proven to be a hair saviour for me...

So the product that i am talking about is the Argan Oil Strength and Shine Leave-in spray by the brand Creme of Nature. If i am being completely honest i had never even heard of the brand before and decided to pick up this leave-in conditioner up as part of an online order from Superdrug, when searching for a new Argan Oil leave-in treatment (which fyi argan oil is a frizzy hair saviour in general). The range is apparently specifically for afro, curly or frizzy hair and contains a bunch of different products from shampoo's, conditioners, styling products and even hair dyes (all available at Superdrug online and in selected stores).

Creme of Nature Argan Oil Strength and Shine Leave-in conditioner claims to be a unique two-phase formula that combines Argan Oil liquid shine and strengthening protein complex that improves hair strength, protects against damage, adds moisture and exotic shine. Usually when a product claims to do all those things they never usually tick all of those boxes but i have found that this one actually does, as well as keeping my hair straight and frizz free. Keeping frizz prone hair frizz free is a huge struggle, especially if it rains or the air is damp and i have found that this just locks your hair in place. The way i use the leave-in conditioner is simply only when i have washed my hair (which is two-three times a week) and all you have to do is shake the product before spraying to the lengths/ends of your hair whilst wet, before blow-drying/styling. What i love about this product is it is fuss free, easy to use, does as it claims and is a bargain at under £5. All of the women in my family have the same frizzy hair struggle as i do, so of course i had to share this product with them and they are all using/swear by it now also.

WHAT'S ON MY BEAUTY CHRISTMAS WISHLIST

Hello everyone! It is that time of year again and with Christmas just being a little over a week away, i thought it was about time i share with you what is on my "Christmas Wishlist" beauty edition this year. Side note this year i feel like there are so many more great gift sets/products that are new-in for the holiday unlike usual, so it was a little difficult to resist and keep the lust list to a minimum...

1. nuxe luxury prodigieux set | click to shop | £37 worth £57 |
First of all can i just say that this year Look Fantastic have nailed their site/stock for Christmas this year, with so many different categories from hers/his to stocking fillers. Nuxe is the skincare brand that i reach for every single say, especially their huile prodigieuse, so naturally this gift set is going to be a winner with me.

2. laura mercier stardust radiant glow palette | click to shop | £40 |
Next up as soon as my eyes locked in on this palette i knew i was going to want to put it on my wishlist, as let's face it who doesn't love a highlighter palette? I love every single thing about this palette from it's rose gold slim/compact packaging with star features, the three different molten metallic and beautifully pigmented highlight shades that will leave you glowing.

3. sanctuary spa sumptuous selection gift set | click to shop | £18 |
Who doesn't love giving/receiving a spa-like gift set for Christmas? because i know i do and especially anything by Sanctuary Spa. Picking up gift sets from the drugstore is such a good way to save money at Christmas as gifts from both Superdrug and Boots are all always on a 3 for 2 offer. Another great tip especially if you are wanting to pick one up for yourself, is to hold off until Boxing Day and pick yourself up some sets for 1/2 off.

4. bareMinerals exclusive star signs lipstick duo | click to shop | £17.50 |
If you know me personally or have read my posts in the past, then you will know that you will be on to a winner straight away if you were to gift me something bareMinerals as it is in fact my favourite makeup brand. This set is perfect for not just any lip product lover but also nude lip product lovers, as it comes as a Gen Nude full sized lipstick duo for just £17.50 instead of £34.

5. bareMinerals BAREPRO glow liquid highlighter | click to shop | £23 |
Another bareMinerals product that is firmly placed on my wishlist this year is this new-in liquid highlighter in the shade fierce, from the bare-pro range. Fierce is this most beautiful copper/bronze shade that can be worn/used multiple ways, either simply on the high points of your face, mixed in with your foundation or simply in with your skincare.

6. dose of colors mickey mouse collection lip gloss | click to shop | £16 |
Another brand that i love and use often is Dose of Colors and this Christmas on BeautyBay they are stocking the brands Mickey Mouse collection, which i am first of all living for not only the packaging but also the three different shades from the lip gloss collection.

7. too faced sugar cookie eyeshadow palette | click to shop too faced | £33 |
Finally is a palette that i think is going to be one of those "impossible to find" gifts, as it is literally sold out everywhere (including the gingerbread palette) which happens pretty much every time Too Faced launch a new cute designed palette. I love how compact yet versatile this palette is, from its different shades with both matte and shimmer finishes. Also if you know anything about Too Faced palettes, then you will already know that they smell amazing and i simply can't wait to get a sniff of this sugar cookie palette.

MY FOUR NAIL POLISH FAVOURITES FOR AUTUMN/WINTER

Hello everyone! If you have read my posts previously or you know me, then you will know already that i am such a neutrals girl at heart from anything neutral toned to nude lip products and of course when it comes to nail colours also. For me there is just something about autumn/winter time that always makes me want to bring out the darker nail polish shades, whether that be red tones or berry tones. That being said for today's instalment i thought i would share four of my personal favourite nail polishes for autumn/winter this year...

essie nail lacquer in the shade russian roulette | click to buy |
First up we have two of my favourite non-nude nail polishes by Essie, starting with the shade Russian Roulette which is the most beautiful bright red with almost a creamy orange under-tone to do and a glossy finish. This nail polish is that perfect Christmas party or even Christmas day shade of red, as it is such a classic and easy to wear colour. The thing i always have to say about Essie nail polishes is even though they are the "more expensive" side when it comes to drugstore nail polishes, they are definitely worth spending that little bit more on.

essie nail lacquer in the shade bordeaux | click to buy |
The next nail polish also by Essie this time a shade called Bordeaux which is definitely more on the dark side when it comes to nail colour, as it is this dark wine/burgundy shade also with a glossy finish. Unlike Russian Roulette which is more on the fun side of things when it comes to choosing a nail colour, i always feel like Bordeaux definitely gives off more of a sexy vibe. Even though this shade is super dark in tone it is in no way hard to apply, as dark shades formula's can be fairly thick and harder to apply but with Essie's darker shades that is not the case at all. As this shade is dark, you definitely only need to apply two coats unlike when you were to apply a much light shade of polish.

barry m gelly high shine nail polish in the shade blackerry | click to buy |
Next up ironically we have two shades from Barry M's Gelly Hi-Shine collection, which is a selection of different shades with a gel-like finish. First up is the last dark nail polish of the post called Blackberry, Blackberry is a very dark purple shade with a blue tone to it. The thing i will say about the darker shades from the Gelly collection can have that thicker almost gloopy texture to them, so make sure you shade the bottle well and don't overload the brush with product. This is a polish that you could get away with just applying one coat, but i personally always like to opt for two.

barry m gelly high shine nail polish in the shade peanut butter | click to buy |
Finally i am finishing this post up with an all year round favourite of mine now, also from the Barry M Gelly collection and of course i had to sneak a nude in there somewhere. This particular shade is called Peanut Butter (which lets face it sells you just with it's name), Peanut Butter is the most beautiful caramel/peach-y nude shade of nail polish. Unlike some nudes this particular one is definitely slightly on the darker scale of nude, which is what makes is perfect to wear on your nails all year round.

SUPERDRUG VITAMIN E SKINCARE DUO | REVIEW

Hello everyone! So for a while now i have been meaning to pick up/try out some Vitamin E formula skincare, as i have heard some really good things especially for people with normal/dry skin and skin that needs all the help in the hydration department (which i do). That being said i finally got around to picking up some new skincare bits, as i was looking to switch out/up a couple of products in my routine and i had heard good things about the Superdrug own brand Vitamin E collection...

vitamin e moisture boost facial serum
If you have been reading my posts for a while then you will know that i had been using the NUXE dry facial oil religiously both morning and night as i am so in love with it, that being said since picking this up i have been using this in the morning before applying my makeup for a specific reason. A lot of serum's can be more of a liquid consistency designed to be used as a further skincare step but i feel like this one is a little thicker than your regular serum, if i am being completely honest i don't think this is a life changer but what i will say is it does make for a great base for foundation in more of a primer role.

shop the vitamin e moisture boost facial serum on superdrug - here

vitamin e spf 15 radiance moisture cream
Ok so next up is the moisturiser, which i have a completely different opinion about and in a good way. I actually really like this moisturiser and for me it is hard for me to say that i really like one, as i am kind of fussy. What really sold me to pick up this moisturiser from the Vitamin E range also, was not only because it claims to be radiance infused and moisturising but because it contains SPF. Protecting your skin from the sun is so important and any step to can take to prevent causing any damage is a must, not only damage but also from signs of ageing. As i mentioned i need all the help i can get when it comes to hydration and i find that this does just that, it has a lightweight texture that soaks into the skin quickly and effortlessly. Out of the two products i would definitely pick up the moisturiser again but probably not the serum in a hurry, this moisturiser is a bargain at just £2.99.

THINGS I'M LOVING FROM SUPERDRUG RIGHT NOW

Hello everyone! So i actually feel like it has been a hot minute since i last picked up any new makeup apart from the essentials, as i have been trying to cut back on the amount i buy because i literally have so much and it just starts to feel like a waste (if the me four years ago could hear me say this, she would probably laugh at this me). That being said i did recently pick up a couple of new makeup bits from Superdrug, as i was placing an order for some everyday essentials and i thought why not share the things i am loving from Superdrug right now...

So of course my intentions wasn't to buy any more highlighters because lets face it have so many already, that being said i simply couldn't not pick this one up after seeing it on Instagram. To say that this product is only £6 is insane, as it is extremely pigmented yet silky smooth and not at all powdery like some affordable highlighters can be. This highlighter comes as a duo with a pink-y highlight shade and then more of a light golden shade, which i have to say is my personal favourite from the palette. The packaging is also super cute, as it looks like a melting metallic chocolate bar.

If you read my recent july must-buys post then you will have already seen that i had actually ordered one of these new releases by L'Oréal in the shade Sweet Tooth. I have not fallen in love with a new liquid lipstick for so long now, but i am head over heels over this one and i just can't stop wearing it now. The shade Sweet Tooth is the most perfect light almost peach-y/beige nude colour, which is one of my favourites to wear. The formula of these liquid lipsticks are also super comfortable to wear, lightweight feeling and they also smell so dreamy just like warm chocolate smells.

I have actually mentioned this nail polish so many times in blog posts over the years, as it is a firm favourite of mine. That being said my current bottle had completely ran out and i was yet to pick another one up, so i had been reaching for other nail polishes...until my sister actually picked me one for as one of my many birthday presents and now i can't stop wearing it again and for me it is the perfect nude nail polish colour.

When it comes to brows for the past few months i have been using the revolution brow tint, which you paint on and leave for a couple of hours before peeling off leaving you with perfect filled in brows. That being said as it does fade after a few days, you do need to touch your brows up when filling them in and i had completely ran out of my beloved Anastasia Beverly Hills brow pomade. Seeing as i don't reach for it everyday now, i thought i would pick up a more affordable product which does the same job and this one is pretty much exactly the same (except for the price difference obviously).

Finally i have actually been reaching for this which i picked up whilst placing that Superdrug order, as i wan't something as a top up in-between tan product. If you watch Love Island, then you will see this range of products from Superdrug being shown a lot as they are the Sponsors again this year. I had also seen a few people saying how they couldn't believe how good this product was for the price, which i completely agree with. It doesn't have that horrible "biscuit-y" scent, it smells really nice and it is super moisturising.

DRUGSTORE BEACH HOLIDAY MAKEUP

Hello everyone! So when we are on holiday sometimes we want to go makeup free (with sunscreen of course) but there also might be times when we might want that little something extra, whether that be for taking pictures at the beach or maybe from only getting a few hours sleep the nights before. With that in mind for today's post i thought i would share with you the four beach/summer makeup products from the drugstore that are the perfect combination for a natural yet glowing base...

Of course the most important step before applying any makeup whether you are at the beach or in the sun in general, is to make sure you prep your skin by doing your regular skincare routine and applying face SPF. The next step is preping/priming, creating a base for other products to be applied on top of and a primer water is the perfect beach ready product. Unlike a cream based primer, a primer water is going to sink into the skin quicker and leave your skin feeling/looking hydrated. This one from Nip + Fab is definitely one of my favourites i have tried from the drugstore and of course it comes in at just under £10.

This look can be achieved with or without foundation but if you are going to be catching some rays, you don't really want to be sat with something heavy on the face. That is why this particular concealer from Bourjois comes in perfect, as it is going to give your that radiant coverage yet it is super lightweight on the skin. You could simply just apply this to the under-eye area, down the bridge of the nose, forehead as well as the chin area and blend out with either a damp beauty blender or brush for more coverage.

This is one of those products that i pretty much reach for every single time i want to go for a more cream bronzed look and it happens to be perfect, especially for adding a natural sun-kissed bronze to the face. I was always super scared to use cream bronzer/contour products until i tried this one out, as it is super creamy and easy to blend out. I usually opt for the shade medium but it also comes in a light shade, which i am having to use at the moment because i am all out of medium. If you wanted to keep this to a bare minimum you could keep it down to three items, as this contour stick is dual ended and comes with a cream highlight shade on the other side.

Moving onto the final product which is personally my favourite and the one that is going to pull the whole look together, giving you a natural yet dewy golden/bronzed beach look. This strobing cream can be used multiple ways, which is what i like so much about this style of product. You can either apply some of this to the face and blend it out for an all over dewy skin look, mixed in with foundations and also to selected areas of the face where the light would naturally hit. Another favourite of mine from the drugstore which is equally as beautiful, is the MUA prism strobe cream in the shade golden ray which is just £4 from Superdrug.

MAY FAVOURITES | BEAUTY + LIFESTYLE

Hello everyone! It is that time of the month again and when i say time of the month i mean, monthly favourites. I honestly can't believe how fast this month has gone, i swear it was the beginning of the month just last week? yet somehow we are in June in just a couple of days and i don't know if that upsets me or makes me happy because it is my birthday month. Putting that to the back of my mind for now, this month i didn't a whole lot of new beauty favourites so i thought i would do another combined favourites of both beauty and lifestyle...

So first up we have this super cute small cross body bag which i picked up a few weeks ago from Toshop (currently has £10 off) and i actually featured it in my recent how to update your wardrobe for summer on a budget post. I am obsessed with this style of bag and the white is perfect for summer yet it goes with so many different coloured outfits. What i love the most about this bag is even though it is a "see-through" style bag with its lattice design, it also has a zip section in the middle to hide your money, cards etc.

As i mentioned in my previous post, i like to switch my breakfast up pretty much everyday and rotate what i am having, just so i don't get bored of having the same thing over and over again. So on the days when i just want something quick that isn't overnight oats, i have been loving having some of this puffed wheat with some almond milk and a drizzle of honey. If you are a 90's kid or you grew up around the cereal "sugar puffs" this is basically the healthy version of those and so low in calories/sugar/fat yet super high in fibre.

In my eight products to keep you smelling beach-y this summer post i talked about a bunch of different Palmer's products that i love and i also mentioned how i had recently switched up the everyday tan lotion from what i usually use. I feel like this natural bronze tan from the brand lasts longer/looks fresher longer, as well as it being easier to apply to a mitt as it has a pump top. Another thing i love about this tan is that it smells so good with the original cocoa butter scent, as well as keeping my skin super hydrated.

The two makeup items that i have been reaching for this month different to past months are a bronzer and highlighting face/body butter both from Primark (first impression linked). Since we are now coming into the summer months i have been loving the whole bronzed up skin with a natural/dewy highlighted look and these two products used together do just that.

So i am currently suffering from a serious book hangover because i read the whole of this new book release within days of it being released, as i was just so hooked, so fast just like i always seem to be when Jodi releases a new book and that is probably why she is one of my favourite authors. I know i have a bunch of other books on my to-read list which i did do a post on recently here but i still can't wait for August for the next instalment.

tv show favourites
Finally we have TV show favourites and i actually have a few different shows that i have been enjoying this month, a couple of regulars and a couple of new shows. This month has been leading up to the end of the current season of Grey's Anatomy, which has been my favourite show for years but with a couple of the main cast members leaving it has been a gripping yet emotion few episodes and i have loved every single one. Sticking with the similar show theme i have also been loving Station 19, which i had saved a few episodes back to binge watch. Finally a new show that i have been loving is called Bulletproof on Sky One, if you love police/crime/action tv shows you will love this and i especially love the whole banter/comedy elements between the two main cast.

DRIPPING IN GOLD | MY THREE GO-TO GOLDEN GLOW HIGHLIGHTERS

Hello everyone! So through-out my blogging years i have done many a series talking about my "three go-to" items from lip liners, to travel palettes and blushes. With that in mind i thought seeing as i hadn't done one in a hot minute, why not give you all an update on the three highlighters which are my go-to's at the moment. I am such a highlighter hoarder, just as much if not more than nude lip products and i reach for so many on a regular basis, but that being said just recently i have been reaching/switching between these three particular ones...

So this particular highlighter can be picked up in three different shades but my personal favourite/the shade that i reach for all the time, is the ever so talked about about Gilded Honey. The formula of this highlighter is basically in the title as it is super silky soft/creamy just like gelato is, this highlighter is also super pigmented leaving you with a fresh looking golden glow all day long. I love highlighting powders that are super finely milled or baked, as they always tend to apply flawlessly and this one does just that. The only thing that annoys me about this product is that to me (and i know others have said this to), you feel as if the packaging lets the product down because it is quite cheap looking for its high-end price tag.

This is a highlighter that i actually mentioned in last months beauty favourites post, which is available in two different shades Molten Gold and Molten Bronze but personally for my skin-tone/personal preference is the Molten Gold shade. I actually think that the formula of this highlighter and the Laura Geller highlighter are super similar, but this one is slightly more pigmented as it has more of a glittery tone to it rather than being baked. Drugstore highlighters can be a hit or miss thing but this particular one is a must-try, along side the next highlighter i am currently obsessed with.

Finally we have a trio of highlight shades in palette form, which comes in three different shades Gold, Ice and Metals but of course the one i have is the Gold palette. The pigmentation on these highlighters are absolutely insane, especially as these palettes only retail for £6 each...Yes £6! The formula/texture of these highlighters are also super silky soft/lightweight feeling, but as they are insanely pigmented a little goes a long way. I also love how the palette comes with three different gold tones, a Champagne shade, a Gold glittery shade and also a Rose Gold shade. Personally i mainly reach for the Gold and Rose Gold shade, somethings mixing a little bit or layering both shades together.

EIGHT PRODUCTS TO KEEP YOU SMELLING BEACH-Y THIS SUMMER

Hello everyone! Following Friday's instalment where i talked about all things Travel lusting, which you can catch up on here if you didn't do so already. It really got me in the mood for talking all things summer, as well as getting in the summer mood (especially with all the lovely weather we have been having recently). One of my favourite things about summer is those typical beach-y scents, especially coconut scented products. With that in mind for today's post i thought i would share you eight products that will keep you smelling beach-y this summer...

When it comes to hair, a lot of us tend to be made up of at least 85% dry shampoo come the end of the week and more so during the summer months. Not only does this dry shampoo leave your hair smelling all tropical and coconut scented, it will also leave your hair looking and feeling fresh/sweat-free. The best thing about this dry shampoo is you aren't left with that annoying white powder finish, some other brand dry shampoos have.

Who doesn't love a good tan during the summer? in-fact i love a good tan all year round and there is a way to have a tan without smelling like biscuits. There are so many different brands on the market at the moment launching coconut scented tanning products but this one from Freshly Baked London, is a lot more affordable than some others costing just £14 compared to over £30 from those other brands.

If taking the more natural/raw products are more your thing, you can still keep yourself smelling beach-y with this limited edition coconut oil with argan oil. How genius this this oil? as it is the perfect mix of two of my favourite go-to formulas that i know work wonders for my skin and hair. This will also not break the bank as it retails for just £2.49 for a 125ml tub.

4. bath & body works copper coconut 3-wick candle
Keeping the beach-y themed scents alive beyond the way you smell personally, you can also keep your home smelling summery also simply by switching up your candles. This copper coconut candle is the perfect mix of coconut and a day at the beach type of scent, with the added warmth in its notes. Another favourite of mine is the coconut splash candle by Yankee Candle, which i featured in my latest must-try spring/summer candles post.

5. being by sanctuary spa hibiscus and coconut water body mist
I have always been a fan of Sanctuary Spa products, but i am completely obsessed with this Being range from the brand. First of all how cute is all of the packaging? Second of all they have a wide range of different products, several scented body mists included and this one hands down has to be my favourite because of the summery scent it throws off. This body mist is the perfect mix of sweet, yet exotic/slightly fruity with a hint of warmth.

6. primark bronze dewy glow gold face & body butter
I have mentioned a couple of these products from the Bronze collection at Primark in a recent testing primark beauty first impressions post and in that post i mentioned how obsessed i am with this range, especially the dewy glow face and body butter. I have been wearing this every single day since i picked it up, i love how dewy yet natural this makes your skin look as well as adding the perfect golden glow and what makes this product that much better is that it smells like coconut.

7. palmer's coconut oil formula products
One of my favourite coconut scented ranges definitely has to be the one by Palmer's and for so many different reasons. Not only do the brand got the scent of coconut perfect, the products actually work especially for me and my normal-dry skin type. Some of my favourite go-to products which i reach for a lot are the weightless shine dry oil, the body lotion and the leave-in conditioner. I actually recently switched up my "everyday tan" to a palmer's one and i am really enjoying using it.

8. bath & body works island white sand super smooth body lotion
One of the most effective ways to leave you smelling all beach-like and "coconutty" is probably going to be from smothering yourself in lotion, which is not only going to make your skin smell delicious, it is also going to keep your skin super soft and hydrated. Your skin need moisture all year round, as the cold can draw out the moisture but so can the sun and warmth. There are so many different coconut scented body lotions available to buy from as little as £1, favourites of mine are the Boots own brand, the Palmer's one and also the M&S essentials one.

FIVE MAKEUP FAVOURITES FOR £5 + UNDER

Hello everyone! So i have mentioned before how i feel like more and more drugstore/affordable makeup brands are simply slaying the product game as of late, which has made me save some money on opting for the affordable version over the high-end version. With that in mind for today's post i thought i would share with you some of my current makeup favourites, which all come in at £5 and under per item...

You might have seen last year that Maybelline launched their "tattoo brow tint" product, where you basically paint it on, wait and peel off then your brows are all done. That being said i never got around to giving it a go, until Revolution recently launched their own brow tint coming in at just £5 and claiming to last for 3 days when left to develop for up to 2 hours. This is one of those products where i am left after giving it a go thinking why have i never used a product like this before? As before i was simply tinting my brows with brow dye and then still filling them in, this product does both jobs in one and does last as long if not a little bit longer than it states. You can either apply this product straight from the wand painting it on or with a brush, personally i have tried both and i prefer/think you get a better result by applying it with the wand.

Next up is a bargain concealer that is better than a bunch of different high-end/more expensive concealers and i can't seem to put it down, so much so i mentioned it in my recent everyday go-to affordable flawless base makeup post. This concealer is super hydrating as it is infused with vitamin e and aloe, has medium coverage and is crease-proof (which is something i struggle with when it comes to concealer) and the best part about it is that it retails for just £2 from Primark. This concealer reminds me of my much loved Maybelline Fit Me concealer, which i have gone through so many tubes of but in the future i think i will just opt for this concealer.

When it comes to mascara i am super fussy and i only ever tend to end up liking something from Maybelline, L'Oréal or my favourite KIKO lash treatment mascara. That being said i picked up this one from Primark recently just to try it out and funny enough it is another one of those products i have picked up, expecting not to like but i end up loving. This mascara actually reminds me a lot of the KIKO last treatment mascara, especially as the wands are super similar and it allows you to coat every individual lash without being clumpy. It not only lengthens, it lifts, gives a voluminous finish and is also super black. For just £3 this is definitely one to pick up the next time you find yourself in or near a Primark store.

The last of the bunch from Primark honestly, but i am just loving so many things from their beauty range at the moment and i feel like they are one of the brands slaying the makeup game for such affordable prices. I have wanted to give the lip kits a try for a while and i finally got my hands on one, which now i have thrown the box away i can't remember the shade name (it's the nude bronze one) and it doesn't say anywhere on the gloss or liner packaging. This gloss is honestly the perfect spring/summer gloss, as it is metallic but it isn't too metallic or opaque it is quite sheer which i like. The lip combination i am loving at the moment is the Morphe lip pencil in the shade Bamboo, MAC lipstick in the shade Peachstock and then this gloss on top. These lip kits come in a wide range of both matte and metallic glosses, that retail for £3 per kit.

Finally we have an eyeshadow from a brand which is new to Boots in the UK and this eyeshadow is the first thing that i have tried from them, but i am obsessed with it so much so it is my everyday eyeshadow. My reason for picking this shade up is because i thought it was super similar to my favourite shade in the Dose of Colors palette, which i reach for on an everyday basis. When it comes to eyeshadow more often than not i just reach for one warm brown matte shade and blend it out, as it is super quick/easy and suits my eye colour so well, making them pop. The brand in general is super affordable, these single shadows retail for just £3.50.
