WHAT'S ON MY BEAUTY CHRISTMAS WISHLIST

Hello everyone! It is that time of year again and with Christmas just being a little over a week away, i thought it was about time i share with you what is on my "Christmas Wishlist" beauty edition this year. Side note this year i feel like there are so many more great gift sets/products that are new-in for the holiday unlike usual, so it was a little difficult to resist and keep the lust list to a minimum...

1. nuxe luxury prodigieux set | click to shop | £37 worth £57 |
First of all can i just say that this year Look Fantastic have nailed their site/stock for Christmas this year, with so many different categories from hers/his to stocking fillers. Nuxe is the skincare brand that i reach for every single say, especially their huile prodigieuse, so naturally this gift set is going to be a winner with me.

2. laura mercier stardust radiant glow palette | click to shop | £40 |
Next up as soon as my eyes locked in on this palette i knew i was going to want to put it on my wishlist, as let's face it who doesn't love a highlighter palette? I love every single thing about this palette from it's rose gold slim/compact packaging with star features, the three different molten metallic and beautifully pigmented highlight shades that will leave you glowing.

3. sanctuary spa sumptuous selection gift set | click to shop | £18 |
Who doesn't love giving/receiving a spa-like gift set for Christmas? because i know i do and especially anything by Sanctuary Spa. Picking up gift sets from the drugstore is such a good way to save money at Christmas as gifts from both Superdrug and Boots are all always on a 3 for 2 offer. Another great tip especially if you are wanting to pick one up for yourself, is to hold off until Boxing Day and pick yourself up some sets for 1/2 off.

4. bareMinerals exclusive star signs lipstick duo | click to shop | £17.50 |
If you know me personally or have read my posts in the past, then you will know that you will be on to a winner straight away if you were to gift me something bareMinerals as it is in fact my favourite makeup brand. This set is perfect for not just any lip product lover but also nude lip product lovers, as it comes as a Gen Nude full sized lipstick duo for just £17.50 instead of £34.

5. bareMinerals BAREPRO glow liquid highlighter | click to shop | £23 |
Another bareMinerals product that is firmly placed on my wishlist this year is this new-in liquid highlighter in the shade fierce, from the bare-pro range. Fierce is this most beautiful copper/bronze shade that can be worn/used multiple ways, either simply on the high points of your face, mixed in with your foundation or simply in with your skincare.

6. dose of colors mickey mouse collection lip gloss | click to shop | £16 |
Another brand that i love and use often is Dose of Colors and this Christmas on BeautyBay they are stocking the brands Mickey Mouse collection, which i am first of all living for not only the packaging but also the three different shades from the lip gloss collection.

7. too faced sugar cookie eyeshadow palette | click to shop too faced | £33 |
Finally is a palette that i think is going to be one of those "impossible to find" gifts, as it is literally sold out everywhere (including the gingerbread palette) which happens pretty much every time Too Faced launch a new cute designed palette. I love how compact yet versatile this palette is, from its different shades with both matte and shimmer finishes. Also if you know anything about Too Faced palettes, then you will already know that they smell amazing and i simply can't wait to get a sniff of this sugar cookie palette.

CURRENT WISHLIST: NEW-IN PALETTES

Hello everyone! It has been a few months now since i last shared all of the new-in makeup/beauty products that i am currently lusting after, so i thought it was about time i gave you all an update (but one with a twist). It has been so long since a new-in palette really caught my eye and recently it seems as if everyone is launching new palettes, that are getting my attention and of course i couldn't not share...

First up is this gorgeous warm neutrals palette by Huda Beauty, which to me screams the perfect travel eyeshadow palette as it is filled with so many different shades to create so many different looks with. The palette has the perfect mixture of matte and duo-chrome shimmers, all vibrant in colour and for a higher end palette, i think £25 is actually not a bad price point for the amount of shadows/the quality of the shadows you are getting.

I love a good Too Faced eyeshadow palette and i have so many in my makeup collection already, but the brand always seems to get my attention when releasing a new palette (especially during the holiday season). The new gingerbread spice palette is yet another palette filled with my kind of shades, as well as a couple of wild cards thrown in there. I literally can not wait to get my hands on this palette, as if it is anything like their other palettes it is going to have a beautiful scent to it and gingerbread is up there as one of my favourites.

One thing that i love about NYX as a brand, is the fact that the texture of their powders are always simply beautiful and like no other. That being said there is no wonder i am drawn to this highlighter duo, firstly because i love and hoard highlighters and second of all because the texture of highlighters are highly pigmented yet silky soft/smooth. You can pick these limited edition highlighter palettes up in three different shades, but my personal favourite is the shade grind.

Oh my, oh my, Urban Decay have done it again by bringing out yet another stunning naked palette, this time filled with warm cherry/purple tones. This isn't a palette i would reach for on an everyday basis unlike i do with the naked heat palette, that being said i still love reaching for these shades from time to time. Even though these particular palettes are in a specific colour scheme like post palettes, you can still create a wide variety of looks.

Revolution and the Revolution Pro range are definitely one of my favourite affordable brands, mainly because of their high end quality but low end prices. When i spotted this collaboration palette in the new-in section i was drawn to how the over-all product looked, from its super travel friendly packaging to its shade ranges/tones. Revolution have a bunch of super affordable eyeshadow palettes which i highly recommend, including an all new eyeshadow palette as part of the same collaboration.

I have tried a handful of products from L.A Girl in the past and a few of them i still reach for time and time again, especially their HD/PRO foundation and concealer. I recently spotted this in the new-in section on BeautyBay and it left me thinking, surely this product is going to be as good as the foundation/concealer. The great thing about this highlight/contour duo is not only the fantastic price, at just £6 but also the fact that it is available in seven shades and can also be picked up in cream form as well as powder.

MAY MUST-TRY'S | MAKEUP I WANT TO TRY THIS MONTH

Hello everyone! So last week just like at the beginning of every month i like to share my must-buy items for the month, which usually contains a couple of beauty related items. That being said this month there is quite a lot of beauty products (mainly makeup) that are on my must-try list, so rather than cramming everything into one post i thought i would split things up and share the makeup bits separately. If you didn't catch the clothing, homeware and accessories post, then you can catch up on that here...

So i went through a stage where i completely went off gloss and glossy lips but now i am completely obsessed with the way it looks now, it also always seems to finish a nude lip off perfectly. When it comes to gloss i love almost gold-like finish glosses in fact Gilded by ABH is one of my favourites but it is almost finished and this Becca gloss looks almost identical, so it would be good to switch things up/compare the two products.

Fun fact i never fake tan my face i would much rather just match it up when i pop on foundation, to save on getting blocked pores or breakouts. That being said i thought maybe trying a tan tinted moisturiser would be a good option for those warm summer days, when i don't necessarily want to wear foundation but i still want my face to match my body.

It is no secret that i am a complete highlighter hoarder and i have so many favourites, yet i still always have room for more and i have a feeling this is going to be the next one on my list. Cover FX already have a stunning range of custom highlighter drops, so of course this highlighter palette is bound to be up to those standards and i especially have my eye on the very first shade on the left of the palette, as it looks stunning!

Sticking with the highlighter palette theme, this palette i came across all google-y eyed over when i was browsing the Boots website for a face tan (which i mentioned above). I already have the other two highlighting palettes like this from Sleek but i never knew they released a third, which looks as equally as beautiful as the others and you can bet next time i pop into a Boots store i will be picking one of these up.

I already have a couple of these matte liquid lipsticks from the Gen Nude range by bareMinerals, which i am obsessed with and reach for all the time because the quality along with the lasting power of the liquid lipsticks is so good. That being said i really want to pick up a couple more shades, especially the shade Smooch (faded lilac nude) and the shade Wink (perfect pink nude).

Finally even though i am a glow-y skin kind of girl, one of my favourite foundations is the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless and i have heard this foundation kind of has a similar vibe about it. So many people have been talking about how good this foundation is, so now that we can get it in the UK i will definitely be giving it a go. I already have the other LA Girl HD foundation in my collection, which i love so i definitely think i will more than likely end up loving this one too and £10 is such a good price.

AFFORDABLE MAKEUP | MARCH LUST LIST

Hello everyone! I have mentioned this before in a different post, how i feel as if drugstore/affordable makeup brands are absolutely killing the product quality game at the moment and i actually prefer i a lot of those type of products over some high-end brands. Last month and this month so far has seen so many great new product launches, which have left me lusting after needing them in my collection. With that in mind for today's post i thought i would share with you my current affordable makeup lust list, consisting of a mixture of makeup and skincare products from either the drugstore or affordable brands...

Years ago now when Maybelline launched their "the nudes" eyeshadow palettes, i became obsessed with how amazing the quality was for drugstore. They recently released this new total temptation eyeshadow and highlight palette, which is filled with such a variety of different shades/tones and of course i am itching to get my hands on the warm toned shadows in the palette.

I love a bunch of different makeup products from Morphe and every single thing i have is amazing quality for the price point. They recently released a huge selection of lip liner pencils, which i particularly want to try this shade called fairy dust because i think it will be the perfect shade to pair with peachstock lipstick from MAC.

I have seen/heard quite a few people rave about how good using Vitamin E is for your skin, especially for helping with keeping the signs of ageing in check amongst other great skin benefits. That being said i researched and so many people recommended the Superdrug own brand version, which if it is good is a complete skincare bargain.

Recently Makeup Revolution have released a bunch of new amazing products, including the Fast Base foundation which i am living for and can't seem to put down. Another stick form product they have released are these creme highlight/contour kits, which come with a dual ended brush and it is giving me complete KKW dupe vibes.

So this particular foundation has been on my lust list for a while now, as so many people have raved about it repeatedly but it is such a struggle to get a hold of in the UK (unless you want to pay over the extras on Amazon). If anyone knows a good site to get a hold of this from the UK, please tweet me because i really want to try it out.

As well as Makeup Revolution, L'Oréal have also recently released a bunch of new products which are also very much about that glowing radiant skin and i am all about that look. Starting with these liquid highlighting drops, which i am really into using at the moment and this particular champagne shade looks simply stunning.

Another release from L'OrĂ©al is this matte bronzing powder, which to me screams summer vibes (especially as it is infused with coconut). I love how this bronzer is matte rather than shimmery, for a natural sun kissed glow which looks like the perfect tone not too warm or too cool. They also have a new blush/s in the similar concept.

Yet another launch from Makeup Revolution, which is fitting in with this whole nude vibe that i am of course living for. The new nudes collection is full of both matte and gloss finish nude lip colours and i am particularly drawn to this shade called buff, also £3 for a lip product is a complete bargain.

Another liquid highlighter that i have my eye on is this one from Bleach London, which i have never tried anything from the brand before but i have heard such good things. This illuminating liquid looks like such a simply stunning golden dewy shade, the only issue is that this product seems to be forever out of stock.

So finally last on my current lust list is this new release in the line of face masks from L'Oréal, which i was obsessed with the glow clay mask from the original line of products. As i have more of the dry skin type, i need all the help i can get when it comes to getting radiant/glowing looking skin.

WHAT'S ON MY BEAUTY CHRISTMAS WISHLIST

Hello everyone! With Christmas Day only being one week away, i thought it was about time that i shared what has been written on my beauty Christmas wishlist to Santa this year. Obviously now that i am older i don't post a letter off to the North Pole, instead i tend to drop "subtle" hints on what i would like instead.

If you have read quite a few of my posts then first of all you will know how obsessed with highlighters i am, second of all you will know the shade Topaz from Jouer is one of my favourites. That being said mine is actually broken so it now proves difficult to use it, so i would love to get my hands on this trio of the highlighters this Christmas as i would not only have a new Topaz but also the other two shades from the range.

If anyone is stuck on what to get me for Christmas, the safe option is a lipstick and more specifically a nude lipstick and i am obsessed with how beautiful and perfect this new Bobbi Brown luxe lip colour lipstick is, from being the perfect nude/pink shade to its equally beautiful packaging.

When it comes to eyeshadows i am all about the warm tones and the warm neutrals to be more specific. so when i spotted this new eyeshadow palette from Zoeva i instantly fell in love and it is perfect as recently i am obsessed with a warm matte eye look.

I have mentioned several of these little trio "blush" palettes from Zoeva, as they are some of my favourite things out of my whole collection. The quality/formula of the powders are simply beautiful and not to mention super easy to travel with, as they are so compact. The thing that attracts me to this new one the most, is the highlight shade as it looks stunning!

Talking of highlighters and yet another one that i am lusting over, is one from bareMinerals which is a brand i have become obsessed with this year and i use their bronzer every single day. This is such an amazing gift to give/receive as it is not only boxed beautifully but it is also limited edition for Christmas time only.

6. | gucci bloom eau de parfum | £52-£99 |
Who doesn't love to receive perfume for Christmas/Birthday's? because i know i do, as perfume can be expensive and who wants to spend that themselves right? I actually have my eye on a couple of perfumes that i love the scent of, this new one by Gucci is one of them (i love the fresh scent and packaging) and i also love the lancome la vie est belle too.

7. | ghd white platinum styler | £165 |
Finally we have something on my wishlist that should probably be at the top, as it is the thing i am most desperate for and that is a new pair of straighteners. I have honestly had mine for so long now and i can tell they are on their way out now, so that makes me desperate as i can't live without one. I have always used GHD ones, as they just work the best with my hair. Even though it is the most expensive gift on the wishlist, it is the thing that would get the most use.

WHAT'S IN MY TRAVEL MAKEUP BAG

Hello everyone! In a recent post all about the tropical trend for summer, i mentioned not only how much i love love love skinnydip makeup/wash bags but also if you wanted to see an updated "what's in my travel makeup bag" post. So seeing as recently i was packing up my makeup for travel, i thought why not share with you what is in my makeup bag this time around. If you didn't catch my previous one, then you can catch up on that here.

So this is the makeup bag i am currently using and it is the peachy washbag by skinnydip, i have mentioned so many times before how much i love these bags simply because of their cool prints and most importantly because of how much you can fit into them. As you can see i have managed to fit a ton of stuff into it, including the two new palettes by zoeva. When it comes down to packing a travel makeup bag, i like to pack what i know works for me, as well as what i can do multiple looks with and also a couple of different lip options. All links for the products inside of my makeup bag will be linked below, if you want to know where i got them from.

CONQUERING CREAM CONTOURING

Hello everyone! So when it comes down to makeup application at some point we have all had some form of fear when it comes to applying a certain type of product, whether that is doing a wing liner or applying false lashes. In my case that fear was always cream contouring, as i always had these visions that my face would be left looking like a muddy/patchy mess but how i was wrong and now i have conquered that fear and cream contouring has now become a part of my everyday makeup routine.

If you are looking for a super hydrating formula product to cream contour with, if you are like me and have a dry/normal skin-type then this product is going to work for you, over something thick and creamy in pan form. The great thing about this product is that it is a multi-purpose product with it being double-ended, one side a contour shade and the other a highlight shade. This particular shade almond is perfect for me as it isn't too warm or too cool toned, it is that perfect in-between and the highlight shade is a beautiful slightly yellow/brightening shade. My favourite way to apply this product is simply straight from the applicator, blending the contour shade with the real techniques bold metals 301 flat contour brush and to blend the highlight shade i always go in with a damp beautyblender. (RRP £9.50)

l.a girl pro conceal hd concealer in the shade toast
So this is the specific cream contour product, well concealer that i mentioned in my most recent everyday base makeup favourites post and one i have been using quite frequently just lately. I had mentioned how i had seen quite a few people use a darker shade in this concealer to contour with, so i just had to give it a try for myself because i knew i love the concealer in my usual shade for my under-eyes. As it suggests this product is a super "hd" full coverage concealer, so for contouring i have learnt a little goes a long way. Just like the nyx sculpt and highlight product, i like to go straight in with the applicator on my face but i like to use a beauty blender to blend this one out over a brush. (RRP £5)

clinique chubby stick sculpting contour in the shade curvy contour
Finally we have the product that finally sold me on cream contouring and one that is great for those who are scared of the process just like me, because it is literally foolproof. The product comes in stick form that can be twisted up, either allowing you to apply straight to the face or how i like to do and apply some product to the brush, blending as you apply and to do that i always opt for the freedom pro strobe brush that came with a palette but i ended up loving the brush more than the palette. The actual formula of the contour stick is super creamy yet easy to work with, allowing you to blend the product out effortlessly. (RRP £19.50)

CURRENT EVERYDAY MAKEUP FAVOURITES: BASE PRODUCTS #1

Hello everyone! I know that i skipped out on doing an "april beauty favourites" post this month, but seeing as i haven't done an everyday makeup routine products post in a while, i thought why not combine the two together in two parts. This past month and this month so far i have pretty much been doing the same kind of look every single day and i am just obsessed with it, kicking things off with the base products i have been loving.

For the past week or so i have been trying out this setting spray from maybelline, which has been out for so long but i have never tried it before and i will use it before and after makeup. So far i am really enjoying it as well as setting sprays in general, i have also placed an order for a couple more to try out.

You will not be shocked to see this foundation in my everyday makeup routine, as i pretty much always opt for this foundation because it never lets me down. I love the coverage it gives me, the way it blends and the most important thing how long it sits on the skin, always looking freshly applied all day long. Another thing you won't be shocked at is that i always add in a couple of drops of the manuka doctor replenishing facial oil before applying to my face and blending out with a damp beautyblender.

So i first mentioned this concealer in my what i use to fill in my brows post, as well as my current three go-to concealers post as i like to use it for both. I love how this is more of a yellow based undertone concealer because it gives you that bright under-eye effect that i personally love. I know this concealer has has mixed reviews but i truly really enjoy reaching for it, but i suppose like any product it is down to personal preference.

Whilst on the subject of concealer, just recently i have really been getting into cream contouring a lot more and i had seen quite a few people using a darker shade concealer (mainly the l.a girl one). I have been switching between a few different cream contour products that i also love, so if you would like to see a separate post on that let me know on social-media and i will get on it!

Now that i have gone in with all the liquid/cream type products, i like to set everything in place with powder starting with setting my under-eye area and my favourite powder ever is this one from rcma, i love how it keeps everything from creasing/moving and it doesn't change the colour of any product you have underneath unlike some powders. I don't really need to set a lot of the areas on my face as i do have dry skin, but i do set my under-eye area, forehead and chin.

Next as part of the setting process i will go ahead and set/bronze up the areas where i applied the cream contour areas. This particular bronzer has been a favourite of mine for so long and it is one i always end up reaching for again and again. This is also a great bronzer to use for a quick/simple bronze eyeshadow look.

Moving onto adding a flush of colour to the cheeks, by using my new favourite blush palette that i featured in my previous review/first impressions post after lusting after it in my updated makeup wishlist post. I have been reaching for this every single day since i got it and i honestly can't get over how beautiful it is, i simply take the two blush shades mixed together for a natural pink-y flush to the cheeks.

Finally for the base products i like to go in with my favourite step, of course highlight and i am really loving gold/bronze toned highlighter at the moment. This one from mac is simply stunning and allows you to really glow from within all the way up to the gods ha! This was a limited edition product a while back, but they added it into their permanent collection which i also have in the shade doublegleam.

ZOEVA SWEET GLAMOUR BLUSH PALETTE

Hello everyone! Last week i shared an updated makeup wishlist post, which you can catch up on here and in that post i featured a particular palette that i have been lusting after. Soon after that post i caved and ordered a couple of the products, this blush palette from the new zoeva sweet glamour collection being one of them.

So i have always been a huge fan of zoeva blushes/palettes, in fact all of their products in general and as soon as i laid eyes on this palette i knew it had to be welcomed into the collection. First of all how stunning is the palettes packaging? Second of all the three shades in this palette are right up my street, with the perfect mix of pinks and a highlighter-like shade similar to the shade "glowing still" in the zoeva rose golden blush palette. These particular palettes are also great for travelling, which i happened to mention in my three go-to travel friendly highlight palettes post because of how compact they are in size/depth.

As i mentioned the palette consists of three different shades, two blush colours and a highlighter shade. First up in the palette is the shade sweet escape, which is the most beautiful almost vibrant shade of pink. Followed up by my personal favourite the shade ideal love, which is more of a light dusky pink shade and then finally moving onto the shade interpretation of dreams, which is the highlight shade adding some shimmery glow to the skin. Just like the other zoeva blushes/palettes i have tried, they never fail in the pigmentation/formula area. They have this soft almost light butter (maybe from the vitamin e formula) feel to them, which allows them to glide onto the skin and blend out seamlessly. If you fancy giving this beautiful palette a try just like i did, then you can get your hands on it for a steal at only £13 from cultbeauty or beautybay.
