VALENTINE'S DAY BEAUTY WISH/GIFT LIST

Hello everyone and welcome back to another Valentine's themed post! Valentine's Day is just three days away now, yet there is still time to pick up or make something your bestie, friends or significant other. With that in mind for today's post i thought i would share my beauty wish list/guide guide, which will make pretty much any beauty lovers Valentine's this year (me included ha ha)...

First up is probably one of the best beauty items to pick up for someone this Valentine's Day, especially when it comes to picking something a little more luxurious. I love, love, love everything about these lipsticks from the formula to the packaging and the great shade range. If you know whoever you are buying for is a nude lover, then i highly recommend my ultimate favourite K.KW or Pillow Talk.

Next up can we appreciate how stunning and cute this packaging is on the limited edition Valentine's collection is, as well as making the perfect gift for a friend or yourself for a pamper night. Essie nail polishes are by far one of my favourites and this collection as do all of the others, tick all of the right boxes. The collection ranges in colours and finishes, from a light pastel pink to a sparkly red and even cute pinks with speckles through-out the polish.

At the end of the day if in doubt buy a candle right? Because who doesn't love candles, i know i do and i always love receiving them. There is a bunch of different Valentine's themed candles available in-stores and online, it all just comes down to personal preference and of course budget. Selfridges and John Lewis are definitely the places worth checking out for some more luxury scents, but if you are on a budget i highly recommend H&M.

Next is another lip option you could opt for, especially if you know who you are buying for either prefers gloss over matte, or you just know they like a good lip product in general. For me another perfect option for a more high-end lip product is definitely by bareMinerals, these moxie plumping lip glosses are a makeup collection staple as they are so easy to wear, long wearing and leave your lips feeling amazing.

If you know whoever you are buying for is a huge fan of pampering themselves or you simply know they love Lush products, then i would definitely recommend having a look at their new Valentine's collection for this year, i am obsessing over the Peachy bath bomb and it is definitely my favourite along side Aubergine bath bomb as i feel like they are such a great Valentine's pun/how they remind me of the Emoji's we all use daily!

Finally a gift idea that you can't really go wrong with, especially if you know what the person you are buying for's favourite scent it, but just in case you didn't know then there are so many "Valentine's" appropriate scents including one of my favourite perfumes flowerbomb. Debenhams currently have discounts on a bunch of their different scents, including gift sets. So if you want to still splash the cash yet save some at the same time, i definitely recommend having a browse.

CURRENT WISHLIST: NEW-IN PALETTES

Hello everyone! It has been a few months now since i last shared all of the new-in makeup/beauty products that i am currently lusting after, so i thought it was about time i gave you all an update (but one with a twist). It has been so long since a new-in palette really caught my eye and recently it seems as if everyone is launching new palettes, that are getting my attention and of course i couldn't not share...

huda beauty topaz obsessions palette | £25 |

First up is this gorgeous warm neutrals palette by Huda Beauty, which to me screams the perfect travel eyeshadow palette as it is filled with so many different shades to create so many different looks with. The palette has the perfect mixture of matte and duo-chrome shimmers, all vibrant in colour and for a higher end palette, i think £25 is actually not a bad price point for the amount of shadows/the quality of the shadows you are getting.

too faced gingerbread spice eyeshadow palette | £39 |

I love a good Too Faced eyeshadow palette and i have so many in my makeup collection already, but the brand always seems to get my attention when releasing a new palette (especially during the holiday season). The new gingerbread spice palette is yet another palette filled with my kind of shades, as well as a couple of wild cards thrown in there. I literally can not wait to get my hands on this palette, as if it is anything like their other palettes it is going to have a beautiful scent to it and gingerbread is up there as one of my favourites.

nyx limited edition machinist highlighter palette | £10 |

One thing that i love about NYX as a brand, is the fact that the texture of their powders are always simply beautiful and like no other. That being said there is no wonder i am drawn to this highlighter duo, firstly because i love and hoard highlighters and second of all because the texture of highlighters are highly pigmented yet silky soft/smooth. You can pick these limited edition highlighter palettes up in three different shades, but my personal favourite is the shade grind.

urban decay naked cherry eyeshadow palette | £42 |

Oh my, oh my, Urban Decay have done it again by bringing out yet another stunning naked palette, this time filled with warm cherry/purple tones. This isn't a palette i would reach for on an everyday basis unlike i do with the naked heat palette, that being said i still love reaching for these shades from time to time. Even though these particular palettes are in a specific colour scheme like post palettes, you can still create a wide variety of looks.

revolution pro x nath highlight/contour palette | £10 |

Revolution and the Revolution Pro range are definitely one of my favourite affordable brands, mainly because of their high end quality but low end prices. When i spotted this collaboration palette in the new-in section i was drawn to how the over-all product looked, from its super travel friendly packaging to its shade ranges/tones. Revolution have a bunch of super affordable eyeshadow palettes which i highly recommend, including an all new eyeshadow palette as part of the same collaboration.  

l.a girl pro.contour powder highlight/contour duo | £6 |

I have tried a handful of products from L.A Girl in the past and a few of them i still reach for time and time again, especially their HD/PRO foundation and concealer. I recently spotted this in the new-in section on BeautyBay and it left me thinking, surely this product is going to be as good as the foundation/concealer. The great thing about this highlight/contour duo is not only the fantastic price, at just £6 but also the fact that it is available in seven shades and can also be picked up in cream form as well as powder.

HIGH-STREET HOMEWARE PICKS

Hello everyone! So it has been a hot minute since i last talked about all thing homeware/home decor. Seeing as at the moment i am seeing a bunch of beautiful different items available, on the high-street both in-store and online i thought today's post would be the perfect time to share with you a selection of my personal favourite homeware picks. At the moment i am loving very neutral toned pieces, with a little black added in there too and i feel like this is a very strong/beautiful decor trend this summer...

1. primark madagascan vanilla large kilner jar candle | £5 |

So first up is a favourite bargain candle of mine which i purchase over and over again, because not only is it only £5 for this large jar but also because the smell is absolutely incredible. The scent is actually really powerful unlike some other affordable candles, you get a really beautiful warm vanilla with a hint of freshness to it and it is perfect for all year round, not just summer.

2. h&m home 2-pack blush guest towels | £3.99 |

Fun fact these are actually my favourite bathroom towels, as they come in so many different colours, are super affordable and they wash so nice/stay soft. These towels comes in so many different sizes as well from this guest towel size, to bath towel, hand towel and also face clothes too i believe. 

3. h&m home storage basket with pom poms | £12.99 |

Sticking with the h&m home theme and if you have read some of my posts recently, then you will know i am loving the whole wicker/pom pom combination and this storage basket ticks both of those boxes. These type of storage baskets are not only good for storing washing, but also you can pot plants in them or even display your throws/blankets in them too.

4. graham & brown elle blush pink cushion | £23 |

When it comes to cushions, the high-street is pretty much the place to be and you can either pick up full cushions or just the covers to add your own insert in at home. That being said i am so in love with this particular cushion from Debenhams, which is a little more on the expensive side for a cushion but this shade of blush is stunning. 

5. new look home black floral painted wide mug | £6.99 |

New Look is always that place i forget stock homeware but when i remember and take a look, they always seem to have so many nice pieces and quite a wide variety of things too. I am such a sucker for a good mug, especially this particular vintage style wide mug style at the moment. New Look also have a bunch of different other patterns in this style as well as h&m.

6. primark etched mini faux plant pot | £2.50 |

Who doesn't love a good Primark find? Because i know i do! These mini faux plants in pots are perfect for if you want to add a little green/plant look to a room, without having the responsibility of remembering to keep it alive. Primark actually have a good few different styles of faux plants in different pots, which are only £2.50!

7. yankee candle a calm and quiet place large jar candle | £24 |

Finally would this be a home decor post from me without including something from Yankee Candle? Probably not ha ha! I actually haven't seen this candle on the site before, yet it did catch my eye in Debenhams. This candle has all of the notes which i love in a candle, from it's warming feel to it's amber musk scent with a hint of freshness.

WHAT'S ON MY BEAUTY CHRISTMAS WISHLIST

Hello everyone! With Christmas Day only being one week away, i thought it was about time that i shared what has been written on my beauty Christmas wishlist to Santa this year. Obviously now that i am older i don't post a letter off to the North Pole, instead i tend to drop "subtle" hints on what i would like instead.

1. | jouer cosmetics powder highlight trio gift set | £35 |

If you have read quite a few of my posts then first of all you will know how obsessed with highlighters i am, second of all you will know the shade Topaz from Jouer is one of my favourites. That being said mine is actually broken so it now proves difficult to use it, so i would love to get my hands on this trio of the highlighters this Christmas as i would not only have a new Topaz but also the other two shades from the range.

2. | bobbi brown luxe lip colour lipstick | £27 |

If anyone is stuck on what to get me for Christmas, the safe option is a lipstick and more specifically a nude lipstick and i am obsessed with how beautiful and perfect this new Bobbi Brown luxe lip colour lipstick is, from being the perfect nude/pink shade to its equally beautiful packaging.

3. | zoeva matte eyeshadow palette | £18 |

When it comes to eyeshadows i am all about the warm tones and the warm neutrals to be more specific. so when i spotted this new eyeshadow palette from Zoeva i instantly fell in love and it is perfect as recently i am obsessed with a warm matte eye look.

4. | zoeva aristo blush palette | £13 |

I have mentioned several of these little trio "blush" palettes from Zoeva, as they are some of my favourite things out of my whole collection. The quality/formula of the powders are simply beautiful and not to mention super easy to travel with, as they are so compact. The thing that attracts me to this new one the most, is the highlight shade as it looks stunning!

Talking of highlighters and yet another one that i am lusting over, is one from bareMinerals which is a brand i have become obsessed with this year and i use their bronzer every single day. This is such an amazing gift to give/receive as it is not only boxed beautifully but it is also limited edition for Christmas time only.

6. | gucci bloom eau de parfum | £52-£99 |

Who doesn't love to receive perfume for Christmas/Birthday's? because i know i do, as perfume can be expensive and who wants to spend that themselves right? I actually have my eye on a couple of perfumes that i love the scent of, this new one by Gucci is one of them (i love the fresh scent and packaging) and i also love the lancome la vie est belle too.

7. | ghd white platinum styler | £165 |

Finally we have something on my wishlist that should probably be at the top, as it is the thing i am most desperate for and that is a new pair of straighteners. I have honestly had mine for so long now and i can tell they are on their way out now, so that makes me desperate as i can't live without one. I have always used GHD ones, as they just work the best with my hair. Even though it is the most expensive gift on the wishlist, it is the thing that would get the most use.

If i was to choose a homeware style that would be perfect for year-round, then it would be simple with monochrome pieces with bits of metal whether that be gold or copper thrown into the mix. these trays are great for table/coffee table centrepieces for anything from candles to flowers.

5. h&m home jacquared-weave cushion white/black and black/white - £8.99
different monochrome cushions are perfect to pair with a plain block colour, whether that be your sofa, bed/bedding covers or even an armchair/love-seat.

little porcelain cups like this are great for not only holding your tea/coffee, but also for little pieces, makeup brushes, stationary or even a lip/eye-liner pencils.

these sectioned/not traditional rectangular shaped mirrors are a great alternative if you want to switch things up, also placed above a small unit table looks chic and modern.

you can't really go wrong with the traditional black/white patterned cushions from ikea, they are in-expensive, great quality and will perk up any plain piece of seated furniture.

12. h&m scented monochrome leaf pattern candle jar - £12.99
another h&m jar candle in this leaf print with a handled lid, perfect to store small items such as cotton buds, rounds or even hair-grips and hair-ties, in a similar way to the one before.

13. oliver bonus sh** happens get over it - £5.99
a cool monochrome style print with a quote will add a cool edge/vibe to any blank wall, these types of prints in black frames look amazing displayed all together in a group of four or five.

14. maisons du monte gold and glass candle holder - £4.75
this glass candle-holder is a perfect mix of modern and traditional, when you light a tea-light/votive candle inside the gold will form a beautiful pattern which will make any room feel cosy/homely instantly.

15. h&m rectangular wooden box - £12.99
my sister owns something the same if not similar to this, which makes a great window box, table centrepiece or even to plant flowers or place artificial plants inside of.

16. h&m home gold metal trivet - £8.99
metal trivet's are traditionally used to place hot pans on-top of rather than risking burning your work top or tea towel, but these look super cute with nick-nacks and a candle jar places on-top.

finally these gold metal baskets are a great/more chic alternative to your regular un-attractive plastic containers, great to store anything inside from toys to books/dvds, magazines, throws etc.

MY FAVOURITE PLACES TO SHOP ONLINE

Hello everyone! I know i am not on my own for online shopping more than actually going out shopping, it is just so much easier as you don't have to put up with other shoppers, queues and you can do it in your pyjamas if you want to. With that in mind for today's post i thought i would share with you all, some of my favourite places to online shop, from makeup to miscellaneous items, clothing and even candles.

1. superdrug.com

It is very rare that i actually pop into a Superdrug store these days, as i would much rather order it all online especially if i am needing dry shampoo, face wipes, hairspray or anything heavy i want to stock up on (as well as makeup items obviously). That isn't the only reason, the other reason being that they have so many more offers online than they do in-store and if you have a beautycard you can get free delivery, as well as extra offers on-top of other offers. Thursdays are a good day to shop if you are a beautycard holder, as they have a "treat thursday" section of offers for members, for example 10% off a brand/product or triple points.

Another place i love to shop on for more high-end and some affordable makeup is Beautybay, as they sell so many amazing brands and some of my favourites such as Anastasia Beverly Hills, Makeup Geek, LA Girl, LA Splash, Morphe and Milani. More often than not they will have offers such as upto 30% off, 3 for 2 on certain brands and delivery is free on orders over £15. The shipping is also crazy fast which i love because i am such an impatient person, i am literally that meme of the cat sat waiting at the window for the delivery guy ha! Another store similar to Beautybay that i love to shop on is cultbeauty.co.uk.

It was a toss up between Look Fantastic and Feel Unique, as they are similar sellers but i would say that i order a lot more frequently from Look Fantastic now. I like to get my L'Oréal Professionnel hair products from there, as well as bareMinerals, NARS and it's where i get my brow tint from. I love how they constantly have great discounts on so many different brands, discount codes such as 10% and 20% off, free and fast delivery.

4. missguided.co.uk

Moving on-to clothing and shoes, i get quite a lot of things from missguided because there is always something that i see and love on there. The quality of the clothing and everything is amazing for the price-tag and the sizing of products are accurate, they don't run small or big. The site is also another place where there is always some form of discount going off, such as free next day delivery, 20% off everything and 30% off when you sign up to their newsletter. Every time i go on i always find myself lusting after something new, even just getting the link for the site i got distracted and ending up placing an order! Other places i get clothing from quite frequently are asos.com, prettylittlething.com and boohoo.com.

5. candlesdirect.com

Being the complete candle addict that i am, Candles Direct is a site that i order from quite a lot as it is were i usually get my Yankee Candles from. They also sell so many other brands such as Village Candles, Burts Bees, Baylis & Harding and Bomb Cosmetics. The great thing about this site is there is always some form of discount on candles, as well as fragrance of the month discounts and they stock everything from tea lights, pillar candles and small/medium/large jars.

Finally moving onto probably one of the best places to online shop for so many different things in the same place and such reliable/quick delivery and customer service response. I buy everything from makeup brushes, makeup, books, dvd's, gadgets and pretty much everything basically. Also if you have amazon prime you can watch tv shows, movies, listen to music and get your online orders the next day. Something i do a lot on Amazon is pre-order pre-released things such as dvd's and books, that way you won't forget when they are released and you will get them on the day of the release without having to leave the house.
