MAY HAIR, SKIN, BODY & RANDOM FAVOURITES

Hello Everyone and welcome to the first part of my two May favourites posts! I thought i would split this month's into two sections, as there is yet again quite a few things i have been trying out new this month. So for part one i am going to be sharing all the hair, skin, body and a few random items i have been loving...

TRESemmé Oleo Radiance Conditioner -
I usually use the L'Oreal 60 second saviour conditioner but i wanted to switch things up a little and decided to try another L'Oreal conditioner which didn't agree with my hair, i tried it twice and it just left my hair not feeling cute. So i decided to give this one ago by TRESemmé and i really like it, it just leaves your hair feeling super soft/not heavy and shiny looking.

Palmer's Coconut Oil Body Lotion -
When it comes to summer time and the warmer months, i become over board obsessed with anything coconut scented even more than i usually am. I wanted to switch up my body lotion for summer and i was straight away drawn to this one, every other product i have tried from Palmer's i love so i knew i wouldn't be disappointed. It literally just leaves your skin feeling super soft, moisturised, smelling amazing and any fake tan last longer.

Soft & Gentle 0% Aluminium Anti-Perspirant Deodorant -
For the longest time i have been a Mitchum Roll-On Deodorant kind of girl as spray deodorant's aren't usually that great for you. Saying that when i saw this one by Soft & Gentle and that it contained no aluminium, i thought i would give it ago. I love how it works the exact same for me as the Mitchum except you aren't left with needing to leave your underarms to dry before putting on clothes, so i think this is going to be a firm favourite for me.

Dove Derma Spa Summer Revived -
Whilst on the subject of fake tan, i have been using this non-stop this month and i know i already mentioned it in a favourites post a couple of months ago but i'm just obsessed with it. Having some tan to my skin, just makes me feel much happier in general and that might sound strange but it just does.

Bioré Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser -
At the end of last month i switched up my cleanser and it was still too new to discuss in last months favourites, so back then i didn't have too much of an opinion on it then. Now i do and i can honestly say i am loving it, especially the way it makes my skin feel so clean all of the time. I was recommended to try this from a friend and i am so glad she did now. My sister is also using the Bioré cleanser but the white baking soda version and she loves that, so that might be next on my list.

Nivea 3-in-1 Deep Cleansing Exfoliating Wipes -
I haven't used Nivea facial wipes in the longest time, in fact any facial wipe for that matter but saying that i was given to try and i have repurchased them again since. I really like them for removing the surface of my makeup before going in with my cleanser, but i avoid my eye area as they are exfoliating wipes and just remove eye makeup with micellar water. This wipes also have the most amazing scent to them, which is really fresh smelling.

Lush Salted Coconut Hand Scrub -
Yet again another coconut themed item from me and this is something i mentioned in a post earlier in the month. I can get really dry hands as i wash my hands so much but this has been a saviour for them and better than any hand cream, for leaving them feeling super soft. Check out my lush haul here:

Oral B 3D White Luxe Perfection Toothpaste -
I usually always use the Glamourous Shine by the same brand but i picked this one up whilst i was in Superdrug and i actually prefer this one now, it is so much better. If you are looking for a good whitening toothpaste, i would definitely say the Oral B ones work the best.

Random Favourites:

Music: Where do i even begin to start with this one, as this month i have been loving so much music! Stating the obvious i have been obsessed with Drake's album Views, my favourite songs from that are obviously One Dance, Controlla, 9, Fire&Desire, Too Good. The next album that i am literally so in love with it's just perfect and that is Ariana Grande's new album Dangerous Woman, my favourite songs from that are all of them but major favourites are Into You, Greedy, Leave Me Lonely, Sometimes and Touch It.

TV Show: For TV i have a clear winner this month and that is a show called The Catch, if you haven't seen it already you need to watch it. I was hooked from episode one and it took me all of five seconds to get into it and now that the first season is over, i have withdrawal symptoms!

8 UNDER £8: DRUGSTORE LOOK

Hello Everyone and Happy Friday! Sometimes we are all guilty for going overboard and next thing you know you are sat surrounded by about thirty different products you've reached for. So for today's post i thought i would simplify things down to just eight items, that are in actual fact all under £8...

So this is the look i came up with only the eight items i decided to go with, every single item i used can be bought at either Superdrug or Boots in the UK (drugstore) and like i said above every item is under £8GBP each.

Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation in the shade 220 (£5.99) -
This is my favourite current go-to foundation anyway but this is such an affordable foundation, even for the drugstore as the majority usually cost around £10 or just over.
I recently did a first impression review post on this foundation, which you can catch here:

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in the shade 10 (£5.99) -
I pretty much love every single concealer by Maybelline, as it is but just recently i have also been reaching for this when i wear the Fit Me foundation. For some reason the two products just work so well together, i don't know if that is because they are from the similar range by Maybelline or purely coincidence.

L'Oreal Infallible 24HR Matte Pressed Powder in the shade Warm Vanilla (£4.99) -
This is a powder that took over my love for Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder, which used to be my holy grail powder for years. This powder literally keeps the shine from appearing all day and sets your concealer well under the eyes, with no creasing. The foundation from the same L'Oreal range is also a favourite of mine.

Rimmel Brow This Way Brow Palette in the shade Dark Brown (£3.99) -
Another old favourite brow product of mine before Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow took over my brow game and pretty much stole this products thunder. All though i must say i still do reach for this on the odd occasion, as it is such a great product. For under £5 you literally can't go wrong.

Rimmel Kate Sculpting Palette in the shade Coral Glow (£6.99) -
This is the product i reached for the most in this look, as i used it to bronze/blush/highlight as well as taking the bronze shade for eyeshadow and the highlight shade for the inner corner and brow bone. I have already mentioned this product a fair bit in previous posts and how amazing it is for travelling.

Maybelline GO RIO The Colossal Volume Mascara in the shade 100% Black (£6.99) -
When it comes to the drugstore mascara i 95% off the time go with a Maybelline one, as you literally can't go wrong with that as they slay the lash game. Besides this one another favourite of mine is the Push-Up drama one and that also costs £6.99, as the majority of Maybelline's mascaras do.

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliner in the shade Black (£3.99) -
As you can probably guess from the state of this eyeliner this is my go-to black eyeliner pencil of all time not just drugstore, it is probably the only one that stays black in my waterline all day. That being said another favourite of mine is the Maybelline Master Drama one, which is £4.49. I used this for this look to line my waterline and then i took some on a liner brush and smudged it along my upper lash line, to make my eyes pop a little more.

Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor in the shade Flirtation (£6.99) -
These "liquid lipsticks" by Revlon are a new love for me and especially this shade for spring/summer time. £6.99 is the price i paid from Superdrug as they had £2 off and the full retail price is £8.99, which is technically 99p over the £8 but still under at offer price. I love how comfortable they are to wear, as they literally feel like nothing on the lips and they are so long wearing.

WHAT I ATE IN A DAY

Hello Everyone! Just recently i have been doing a ton of beauty related posts, so i thought for today i would switch things up and seeing as i haven't done a "what i ate wednesday" or "what i ate in a day" in the longest time, i thought it was long over due. So here it is what i ate in a day...

An on-the-go breakfast consisting of one of these Skyr sour cherry yogurt's which i had never tried before and it was so good, if you like thicker yogurt i highly recommend trying one. I also tried one of these Kind bars for the first time, which was also amazing and that was maple glazed pecan and sea salt flavour. I also had some orange juice.

This is lunch/dinner combined as i went out for food at Le Bistrot Pierre, which is one of my favourite restaurants and we went for all three courses. This is my starter and it was the crab ravioli with asparagus, and petits pois.

For main i went with the slow cooked pork, with puy lentils which sold it for me as i love puy lentils.

As i said we went for all three courses so dessert time and i went with the sticky toffee pudding and vanilla ice cream. When ordering this i expected it to look different when it came out, as this looks more like a sliced cake rather than a pudding but it is the taste that counts and it tasted amazing!

TOP FIVE BRIGHTENING CONCEALERS: ONE YEAR ON

Hello Everyone and Happy Monday! I was browsing through my blog archive, looking at what i was rambling on about around a year ago and i came across a "top five favourite brightening concealers" post. I thought why not do an updated version of that post, as it is literally one year one and a handful of days. It is so cool to look back and see that some favourites have changed, yet some have still stayed firm favourites...

Estée Lauder Double Wear Brush-On Glow BB Highlighter in the shade 1N -
This product is one of those click pen highlighters just like the ever so famous YSL Touche Eclat and the MAC Prep+Prime ones, which has also been a favourite of mine but this one by Estée Lauder does it for me every single time. This is such a super brightening product for the under-eye area, i either wear it by itself or mixed with another concealer all depending on the type of coverage i need that particular day (or should i say all depending on how many hours sleep i have had ha ha).

Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage in the shade Light/Neutral -
This is another concealer that i have loved for well over a year/well since i first tried it out and i have in fact never heard/seen anyone say a bad word about this concealer. It's such a creamy lightweight product that blends out so effortlessly, with a super brightening effect and flawless coverage. I am also a huge fan of the matching foundation, which i need to repurchase again soon!

Revlon ColorStay Concealer in the shade Light -
This is a concealer that i had never tried out until just recently and now i am left wondering why i was so late giving it a go. This is a great affordable concealer if you want a light to medium coverage aka you've had a good nights sleep. Saying that it is easy to build up without it going cakey or anything, i also had the shade light rather than a normal skin tone one for that reason of using it under my eyes rather than on any blemishes etc.

Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer in the shade Light -
I have already spoken so much about this concealer in the past couple of months, as since the moment i tried it i was in love. As the title of the product suggests it is a radiant product and that is exactly what it does, so that makes it perfect for brightening under those eyes. It is probably the most hydrating product of the bunch and never looks cakey or creases in the slightest.

Barry M Flawless Light Reflecting Concealer in the shade Ivory -
I had mentioned this concealer in a recent makeup haul "tried and tested" and how it was the first makeup item i had tried from BarryM, as i have only ever tried virtually all of the nail polishes. I was surprised at how amazing this concealer is and it is under £5, which is great seeing as there is probably only the Collection lasting perfection concealer that is good under that price. Like the title of the product suggests it is light reflection (brightening) and it also doesn't crease. The only thing that i find strange is that the applicator is like one you would get on a nail polish, is that normal? or is it just me who finds that weird?

FOUNDATION REVIEW WEEK: MAYBELLINE FIT ME MATTE + PORELESS FOUNDATION FIRST IMPRESSION

Hello everyone and welcome to the final part of my little foundation review week series! This week i have enjoyed sharing with you my thoughts and opinions on different foundations. Personally i love reading these types of posts, as they can be super helpful before biting the bullet and buying a product. So for this final part i thought i would share my first impressions on a foundation that has been around for a little while in the states but it has just landed over here in the UK, yes you got it it's the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation...

So this is the packaging for the foundation, the UK version of the packaging is completely different to the one from the US, as that is in a pump-less glass bottle and this is in a squeeze out tube. This foundation is available at Superdrug and Boots in the UK and it retails for £5.99, which is more affordable than usual drugstore foundations. The foundation comes in 6 different shades: ivory, classic ivory, natural ivory, natural beige, buff beige, natural buff and it doesn't claim to have any SPF in the formula.
(I have the shade 220 which is natural beige)

The foundation consists of 30ml which is the usual amount for a foundation. It is a liquid foundation designed for normal to oily skin types. It claims it mattifies and refines pores with blurring micro-powders for poreless looking skin. It also claims to match skin tones and texture for a natural, seamless finish.

Moving on to the actual application and my first impression about this foundation. Just like the L'Oreal Nude Magique Cushion foundation i decided to test application by using two different methods, a miracle complexion sponge and then a buffer face brush. By personal preference i preferred dotting some product around my face and then blending it out with the sponge and that way it left me with the most flawless base. I would definitely say this foundation has a medium coverage but it is very easily build able, personally i don't feel as if it is a fully matte finish foundation it looked more of a velvet finish which makes me love it. The feeling once on the skin is super lightweight i didn't feel like i was wearing foundation, even though i built it up to a full coverage. All products applied on top applied beautifully and didn't slide around or look patchy. Moving on to staying power i first applied this around the same time as the last review post, so it was on for a good 11 hours or more. I didn't touch up at all during the day, at the end of the day all that had changed from when i first applied it was a little bit of shine on my chin. I literally couldn't believe how it has lasted it didn't break up, transfer or budge basically. So as you can probably tell by my opinions already that this foundation has a huge thumbs up from me, i just don't have a bad word for it and i will no doubt be reaching for it quite a lot.

FOUNDATION REVIEW WEEK: ESTÉE LAUDER DOUBLE WEAR RE-DISCOVERY/PRODUCT REVIEW

Hello Everyone and welcome back to another foundation review! So in my previous post i shared with you my first impression on the new L'Oreal Nude Magique Cushion foundation, so for today's instalment i thought i would share with you a foundation re-discovery on a product that used to be a holy grail foundation of mine, yes you guessed right it is non other than Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation...

So this is what the packaging looks like for the foundation, it's in a frosted glass bottle with a gold screw top lid. The packaging has such a luxurious vibe to is as it is obviously a more high-end product but it isn't a very travel friendly product, so if you didn't want to risk travelling and the bottle smashing i highly recommend getting one of those transparent foundation pots and taking the amount you think you would need. This foundation doesn't come with a pump, it is simply just a pour out the bottle situation when you come to apply it (although i believe you can get a pump for them). This foundation is available from major department stores, feel unique and boots, it retails for £30GBP. The foundation is available in a wide range of shades (around 30+) and has an SPF of 10.
(I have the shade 2N1 Desert Beige)

This foundation consists of 30ml of product which is the usual amount for a foundation. A lot of people say that Revlon Colorstay foundation is a lot similar to this foundation but obviously a lot more affordable. This foundation is an in-between consistency product as it isn't super runny and it isn't super thick, it's somewhere in the middle and a little goes a long way so it should still last you a fairly long time.

Moving on to the actual application of the foundation. Down to personal preference with this foundation just like i did in the past, i like to apply this dotted around my face and then blend it out using a real techniques miracle complexion sponge. Another tip about this foundation is that a definitely recommend using a primer underneath this foundation as it just makes the blending out process a lot easier. This foundation is definitely a medium to full coverage foundation and like a mentioned above, a little goes a long way. The finish to the foundation is very natural and is neither a full matte or dewy finish, the way this foundation feels once on the skin isn't super lightweight but it isn't super heavy feeling at the same time. The amazing thing about this foundation is that it literally doesn't transfer if you touch your face or anything like that and it lasts all day long, while still looking fresh. My overall thoughts on this product is in all honesty i can't even remember why i stopped using it, except for maybe the fact i was reaching for so many different foundations. The foundation is simply beautiful and such a great foundation for the warmer months, as it even still looks perfect after being in humid weather.

FOUNDATION REVIEW WEEK: L'OREAL NUDE MAGIQUE CUSHION FOUNDATION FIRST IMPRESSION

Hello Everyone and Happy Monday! For just over a week now, i have been putting a few new foundations to the test. So i thought for this weeks set of posts i would share with you my first impressions/product review on them all, the first being the new L'Oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation. I was super intrigued to give this foundation a go ever since i first spotted it was out in the states, now it is available in the UK...

So this is the packaging for the foundation, i really love the concept of it as well it is super compact and good for travelling. As it isn't a glass/bottle form foundation it is obviously a lot less likely to leak or smash. The foundation is available at Boots and Superdrug in the UK and it retails for £9.99 (usual price £14.99), which is the standard pricing for most drugstore foundations. The foundation comes in 7 different shades: porcelain 01, vanilla 03, rose vanilla 04, rose beige 06, golden beige 07, beige 09, golden amber 11 and they all have an SPF of 25.
(I have the shade 06 and it matches me perfectly)

So this is what the foundation looks like once you open it up. It comes with this little "powder puff" type sponge, which you could use to apply it with but down to personal preference i don't tend to use tools provided with a product. When you remove the sponge you can open the interior lid and you have the actual product itself. As it says in the title of the product this is a cushion foundation, which is very similar to the one by Lancome but obviously a lot more on the affordable side.

Moving on to the actual application of the foundation i put it to the test using two different method's of application, with a real techniques miracle complexion sponge and then a zoeva 104 buffer face brush. The foundation is definitely a light to medium coverage but it is very build-able and out of the two different methods of application, using a brush definitely has a fuller coverage to it over a sponge. The finish of the foundation is very fresh looking with a natural glow and it actually feels like you aren't even wearing any foundation, as it is super lightweight feeling. A great thing i have noticed about this product is that any other product applied on top such as powder/bronzer/blush etc, applied really nice and didn't slide product around or anything. Moving on to the staying power of the foundation, i first applied it at about 8am and wore it until around 7pm so 11 hours and i was super impressed at how well it lasted for. I didn't touch up at all throughout the day, considering that it is a glowy foundation and it was a quite warm day i didn't look overly shiny at all. The only thing i would say is that it did transfer off a little from whenever or where i touched my face, like if you have an itch of something. So my overall opinion on this foundation is that once again L'Oreal have done good with another foundation release. The only thing i am not sure on is whether this product would last you as long as a normal liquid foundation would and would the product dry up quickly, that is something i will definitely have to report back on.

URBAN DECAY ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS EYESHADOW PALETTE

Hello Everyone and welcome to another Bonus Blog Post! Today i am back with another sneaky eyeshadow palette splurge, that just had to be done as it is limited edition after all. This palette is from Urban Decay's latest collaboration for the up and coming Alice and Wonderland sequel film, Alice Through The Looking Glass (which i am super excited to see, as the first film was amazing). This is in fact the other palette i was talking about that arrived at the same time as my Too Faced Sweet Peach palette did, which i will link at the bottom of this post...

First of all before we get into anything, how incredible is the packaging for this collaboration? You can just tell so much thought and detail has gone into coming up with product designs, that match the vibe of the film perfectly. So when you first receive this palette the box and the actual front packaging on the eyeshadow palette are exactly the same.

When you first open the lid of the palette you are faced with a set of double doors, which has the beautiful well known quote from Lewis Carroll and then...

Once you open the double doors the most beautiful and detailed pop-up butterfly is centre of attention, along with the mirror (also with a quote) and pocket watches dotted all around. The detailing and style of packaging is so fitting for the theme of the film, super imaginative.

Getting to the actual eyeshadows in the palette itself, which you will find situated in the slide out drawer at the bottom and it actually slides all the way out. The palette is made up of 20 eyeshadows, both mattes and shimmers. The shading range of this palette is very versatile as it ranges from very neutral/wearable colours to bold/out-there colours. The palette also comes with a double ended eyeshadow brush like all Urban Decay palettes do. I actually love the brushes that come with these palettes which i rarely do with "included tools", as they usually tend to be rubbish from a lot of other brands. The palette retails for £43GPB from Debenhams, i know that might sound a lot for a palette but in all honesty it is totally worth the money as it is so well made. Talking of that the quality of the eyeshadows themselves are just like any other Urban Decay eyeshadow super pigmented, easy to blend and not disappointing in the slightest. Make sure you stay tuned because i am sure i will be posting a look using this palette, lets see what i can come up with!

TOO FACED SWEET PEACH EYESHADOW PALETTE

Hello Everyone and Happy Friday! So last week (wednesday 4th may to be precise) i woke up all excited because the long awaited arrival of the Sweet Peach eyeshadow palette by Too Faced, would finally be available to buy online at Debenhams. To cut a long story short they were experiencing some technical issues and it wasn't on the site until around early evening time but i got my hands on one yay! After what felt like an eternity waiting for it to arrive in the mail, it finally came and it was definitely worth the wait because it is simply beautiful...

First things first when you get the palette it obviously comes in a box, which looks like this. I absolutely love how they've even stated that it smells like peaches, Too Faced always slay the game with cute packaging and the different scents in their products.

Then when you turn the box over it tells you the names of the different eyeshadows and names that the palette contains, giving you an idea of what colours are inside. You also get a brief description all about the palette and then at the bottom it has the net weight also.

So this is what the palette itself looks like once you take it out of the box, i love everything about this packaging from the ombré effect colour across the palette and also the smaller raised peaches. Even though it is one of their longer palettes, it is still in fact super slim/compact and the packaging is metal tin like with a magnet to keep the palette closed shut.

Once you open the palette you are firstly hit with that gorgeous peach scent, which i could smell all day long just as much as their chocolate scented palettes. Inside the palette contains 18 different shades of eyeshadows with a various shade range in colour and matte/shimmer ratio. Even though you would expect this palette to only contain all peach shades, there still is some variety to choose from. The good thing about this palette is pretty much every shade in this palette is a shade i would wear, which is a rare thing in a palette. I am particularly drawn to the first nine shades to the left of the palette, as they are such me colours. Getting down to the quality of the eyeshadows this is pretty obvious as it is too face and they are always super pigmented, easy to blend and are the most beautiful buttery smooth texture. This palette retailed for £39GPB, which is the same price as the chocolate bar palettes/bon bon palette. The only sad thing about this palette is it is limited edition unlike the others, so if you can get your hands on one if you haven't done so all ready be quick!

The same day as this palette arrived so did another exciting limited edition palette, so stay tuned for that coming soon. Can you guess what it is?

MAKEUP HAUL: TRIED AND TESTED

Hello Everyone and Happy Monday! At the back end of last month i posted a face friday all about trying out some new products from the drugstore. Since then i have in fact accumulated some more items that weren't from the drugstore but are still fairly affordable to say the least. So today i thought i would do a similar review post/haul on the new makeup bits i have collected and tested out...

Gerard Cosmetics Slay All Day Lavender Setting Spray (£12.50) -
Setting sprays are something i can take or leave during the colder months, but when it comes to summer i sometimes find that using one helps to keep it all in place more. I usually opt for the NYX Dewy Finish setting spray, but this one in particular i had heard good things about. Now after trying it, i am glad that i did because it is so good and helped my makeup stay in place so well. Another thing i love about this product is how fresh and soothing it feels once sprayed on the face.

Barry M Flawless Light Reflecting Concealer in the shade Ivory (£4.49) -
I have never really tried anything but nail polish from Barry M, so when this landed in my possession i was super intrigued to give it a try. When i first opened it i wasn't expecting the applicator to look like it does for some reason, i was expecting a dofus applicator but it is more like one you would naturally find on a nail polish. Putting that aside the quality of the product is really nice, super brightening and doesn't crease.

Makeup Revolution Bronze, Shimmer & Highlight (£4.00) -
This product like any other product from Makeup Revolution is such amazing quality for the price, when i first opened this i was shocked at how huge it was and with it only being £4. I have literally been using this non stop for bronzer and contour since i first tried it out, i tend to use the middle and far right bronze shades more than the lighter shade. The middle bronze shade is also an amazing shade for a transition colour in the crease.

Makeup Revolution Ultra Strobe Balm in the shade Hypnotic (£5.00) -
First of all can i just say how much of a crazy dupe for the MAC cream color base's these are, but if i am being completely honest i found this a lot more reflective. Just applying some to the high points of your cheeks or where you would normally apply your highlighter and it gives the most amazing natural glow to the skin. This is also one of those products you can use wet or dry, but my favourite way to apply is simply with my fingers.

KIKO Eyebrow Designer in the shade Transparent (£3.90) -
I wanted to pick up a clear brow gel so whilst i was in KIKO i thought i would give this one ago, i was so amazed at how well it stuck my brows in place all day long. The only thing i would change about this product is the spooly as it is fairly large and it could do with being a little smaller for me personally.

Morphe 12NB Natural Beauty Eyeshadow Palette &
Morphe 12S Soul of Summer Eyeshadow Palette (£11.95 each) -
I have already given a brief report over on my instagram about these two palettes and how in love with them i am, especially the 12S palette. Like any other Morphe shadows, they are super pigmented and so easy to blend out. Sometimes with eyeshadow palettes you will find that there are one or two shades you wouldn't reach for but with these, it isn't the case.

KIKO Out of Bounds Eyeliner Pen in the shade Black (£8.90) -
This is one of the products that is part of the summer collection from KIKO and firstly can we just appreciate its stunning packaging. That aside the product itself is super black and easy to apply, as well as lasting really well without smudging and i can get really watery eyes.

KIKO 30 Days Extension Daily Treatment Mascara in the shade Black (£3.90) -
KIKO at the time had a promotion on of all mascaras for £3.90, so seeing as i needed a new mascara i thought why not give this one ago. It claims to lengthen your natural eyelashes by 169% if you use it everyday for 30days, i am currently on day eight and all i can say it that it is in general a good mascara. I will report back after the 30 days to see if it genuinely works to make them naturally longer.

KIKO Heatwave Lip Oil in the shade Coconut (£10.90) -
Lip Oil's seem to be all the rage just recently and after trying this one i can see why, i am obsessed with how amazing this leaves your lips feeling. This is also from the limited edition summer collection as the eyeliner pen is and they come in three different scents (you just know i had to go with coconut though). I would definitely recommend picking one of these up if you are wanting to give a lip oil ago and don't want to splurge on the Lancome Juicy Shakers.

LUSH HAUL

Hello Everyone! So at the weekend it was a bank holiday in the UK and on Monday i had a day full of shopping and also finally seeing Jungle Book at the cinema (which fyi if you haven't seen it already you need to). I headed into Lush as i was completely out of my bath bomb/melt stash (which is never a good thing), so i had to re-stock and naturally i thought why not share with you a few of the things i picked up...

Blackberry Bath Bomb (£3.35 each) -
I'm not sure if this is one of the newer products to Lush but it is definitely one i haven't tried before, as soon as i smelt it in store i just had to have it. It claims to be great for calming anxiety and getting rid of any tension in the body, as the frankincense oil helps to slow down your breathing.

Sex Bomb Bath Bomb (£3.50 each) -
I have mentioned this bath bomb so many times before, as it is in fact my favourite product of all time from Lush (except for snow fairy obviously). So whenever i run out i have to re-stock it, this is another product great for calming down anxiety and putting you in such a relaxed mood.

The Comforter Bubble Bar (£4.95 each) -
The Comforter is such a crowd pleaser and so is the shower gel (for me anyway). If you have never tried anything from Lush before then this is a product i highly recommend starting off with, especially if you love anything fruity/berry scented. This product is also quite large compared to other bubble bars, so you can get a lot of uses out of it and definitely your moneys worth.

Honey Bee Bath Bomb (£3.50 each) -
When i first saw this bath bomb i thought it was a tennis ball but nope it is definitely a bath bomb, which smells so good! This is one that claims to soothe and cleanse the skin at the same time, as it contains both aloe vera and clay. I am super intrigued to give this one a try as i have never used it before, so i will definitely report back on.

Ikkle Baby Bot Bath Bomb (£1.95 each) -
Both myself and my sister picked some of these up for my nieces and nephew, as they love these cute ikkle baby bot bath bomb and they are perfect for children's bath time. This contains lavender which is great for calming them ready for bedtime and helps aid with any irritation to the skin.

Salted Coconut Hand Scrub (£7.95 130g) -
I just had to mention this product a little more in-depth as i fell in love at first try. If you are anything like me and suffer from getting quite dry hands and sometimes hand creams don't quite do the job fully, then this is a product for you. You can use this two different ways, either apply to wet hands and scrub all over or on dry hands for a more intense cleanse/exfoliation. It will literally leave your hands super soft all day long and even after washing my hands multiple times, they were still soft. The thing that initially sucked me in was the scent, if you didn't know already i am a sucker for anything with a coconut fragrance and this in particular smells amazing. I know it might seem like this is a fairly expensive product but trust me when i say a little bit goes a long way.

MANI MONDAY: COCONUT INFUSION NAILS

Hello Everyone and Happy Monday! Today i am back with another "mani monday" post, as i simply couldn't have these nail polishes and not post about them. Barry M have once again truly and deeply impressed me with another range of not only shades but formula, a very summery vibe collection...

So this is my chosen nail polish for this weeks mani, it is the most gorgeous shade of pink i have seen in the longest time and to be honest until now i don't think i have a shade of pink quite like this in my collection (except for cool cascade by Essie is sort of similar). This particular shade is from the Barry M Coconut Infusion range and it is in the shade Surfboard (please tell whenever you hear that you sing drunk in love by Beyoncé? because well i do ha ha). This is from the newest range by Barry M and the formula is infused with coconut water and coconut oil which whilst giving you the most gorgeous pop of colour, it is also nourishing and hydrating your nails at the same time. I picked up two shades to try which is this one and another in the shade Laguna, which i shared on my instagram last week (find me here on instagram: @iamkatiee_).

On my nails:
Essie Apricot Care Cuticle Oil
Barry M Iron Mani Ultimate Nail Hardener
Barry M Coconut Infusion Nail Paint in the shade Surfboard
NO7 Stay Perfect Top Coat

I definitely think these have overtaken my love for the speedy quick dry range and i need to get my hands on more shades super soon, as they are all gorgeous!

SWEET SUNDAY: HOMEMADE GOOEY SNICKERS BARS

Hello Everyone and Happy Sunday! Firstly how weird does it seem me saying Sunday? Second of all no i haven't got the days mixed up for posting a blog post, today i am bringing to you a bonus post for the week...fear not there will still be an all new post tomorrow as usual. Getting into things i wanted to share with you more of a lifestyle type post today and these super yummy but naughty treats. If you are anything like me and love anything chocolatey/peanut/caramel tasting then you will love the recipe for these gooey snickers bars...

To make the gooey snickers bars you will need:
300g milk chocolate
125g smooth peanut butter
170g mini marshmallows
25g butter
a separate 100g smooth peanut butter
275g tinned caramel
60ml double cream
75g salted peanuts

Method:

1. First things first before you get into the mixture, you are going to need to line an 8 inch square deep baking tin with cling film all ready for the mixture to go into.

2. Next up you are going to want to melt together the 300g milk chocolate and the 125g peanut butter, on a bowl over simmering water until all melted and smooth. Pour half of this melted mixture into the base of the tin and use the back of a spoon to spread the mixture into an even layer. Place this in the fridge to set for around 15 minutes.

3. Moving onto the next layer, in a clean bowl melt together the mini marshmallows and the butter until completely melted before adding in the separate 100g of peanut butter into the mixture and combine together. Take the baking tin out of the fridge, only if the mixture is set you can continue if not place it back into the fridge for a further 5 minutes or so. Once set pour the marshmallow mixture onto the chocolate layer and smooth out before placing back in the fridge whilst completing the next step.

4. Now for the layer of caramel, place caramel in a saucepan with the double cream, heat on a low heat until combined (be careful as this mixture will be hot). Next stir in the salted peanuts then leave to cool for a few minutes. Once the mixture has cooled down, take the tin back out of the fridge and then pour over the peanut and caramel mixture smoothing it out the same as the other layers.

5.  Place back into the fridge for a further 15 minutes. After that time is up take the tin back out of the fridge and pour the remanding half of the chocolate mixture as the top layer, smoothing out again before placing back into the fridge for 1 to 2 hours or until set completely.

6. Then all that is left to do is remove from the tin using the cling film as help and cut into squares or bars.

I hope you're all having a lovely weekend and i'll see you tomorrow!
