THINGS TO DO THIS AUTUMN

Hello everyone! I know we are over a month into Autumn now, but it is still only the beginning really as we still have a couple of weeks left until Halloween and then November after that. I have already done a handful of Autumnal inspired posts this year (which i will link at the end), with that being said i still think we have a room for one more. So for today's post i thought i would share with you some activities perfect for this Autumn.

1. stock up on your favourite autumnal scented candles.

2. make pumpkin or butternut squash soup.

3. go for a walk in the woods/forest, who doesn't love walking in autumn leaves?

4. make hot chocolate with marshmallows

5. bake some autumnal/halloween cupcakes or desserts.

6. switch up your lip colour to a deeper nude or berry/vampy shade.

7. make an autumnal wreath, with leaves/pine cones.

8. throw a halloween party.

9. invest in some fairy lights, to give your home a cosy vibe.

10. read a feel-good book.

11. decorate your house with autumnal decor.

12. visit a pumpkin patch farm.

13. carve/decorate a pumpkin.

14. bake an autumnal flavoured pie/cake, such as pumpkin or pecan.

15. go shopping for some things to update your autumnal wardrobe, with a scarf or boots.

16. visit a beer/farmers festival on a weekend.

17. take a weekend trip to the countryside, with friends, family or a loved one.

18. go to a bonfire/fireworks night.

19. cosy up with a blanket, binge watching your favourite movies/tv shows.

20. watch hocus pocus.

21. go on a ghost walk/scarefest night.

22. make your favourite winter comfort dinner.

23. have all your friends round, make popcorn and watch scary movies/rom-coms.

24. make smores, with biscuits and melted marshmallows.

25. listen to acoustic music, to me this gives a real autumnal/cosy vibe.

26. drink as many pumpkin spice lattes/autumnal drinks as you can.

27. visit a stately home.

28. treat yourself to an autumnal nail colour.

29. have a relaxing bath, with an autumnal scented bath bomb.

DESERT ISLAND: BEAUTY ESSENTIALS

Hey guys, i hope you are all having an amazing day whatever you are up to and happy march! I am so excited that spring is on it's way and fingers crossed it brings some warmer weather with it, as i am getting fed up of this cold now. Talking of warmer weather, when faced with the challenge of only choosing a handful or so beauty items you could take with you onto a dessert island, what do you choose? Do you go down the oh so practical route such as mosquito sprays and anti-histamines? or do you go down the sun kissed glow goddess route? or even a mixture of both? It is such a hard decision to make when usually when taking a vacation or trip, you can just throw it all in one massive bag. Saying that after thinking about it carefully i put together a mixture of essential items that i would take with me, which has a mixture of practical and some holy grail items...

1. Garnier Ambre Solaire Dry Mist SPF 50 -

I put this at the top of the list as it is probably the most practical product in the mix, seeing as it is a desert island it is probably going to be incredibly hot and very sunny. You should always protect your skin from the sun by wearing a SPF a) so you don't burn and b) will help protect your skin from getting sun damage, which can be very harmful! 

2. John Frieda Frizz-Ease Miraculous Recovery Intense Masque -
Humidity and my hair will forever be enemies, if i step out in heat for a second without using some sort of frizz-ease product to prevent me from looking like Simba from The Lion King. This Intense Masque from the range is definitely one of my favourites to help keep that frizz at bay.

3. Maybelline Baby Lips Dr. Rescue in Cool -
This is hands down my favourite lip balm at the moment, it is super hydrating which you would need for your lips in such weather and it also adds a really pretty shine. So in my opinion that covers both the practical and non practical sides in one!

4. Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer in Light -
Another amazing holy grail product for me by Maybelline ,this is my favourite concealer ever it's super brightening under the eyes and is very long lasting without creasing. One of the amazing things about this concealer is that it's a really good coverage without being a thick consistency.

5. Estée Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Mascara in Extreme Black -
For me if i had to choose out of eyeshadow and mascara, mascara would win by a mile. Mascara just completely changes the way any makeup look appears and i would feel/look naked without it. In a more practical sense you would probably want to adapt to a waterproof version.

6. MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle -
This product is just one of those i couldn't possibly leave behind because i love it too much. I own a wide range of highlighting powders but none of them make the cut like this one does, it's just stunning and would look even more amazing with a killer tan.

7. Extras -
If even after all of those products you could sneak in a few more obvious essentials i would go for it and take items such as, shower gel, razor, shampoo and a good body moisturizer.

THE "ME TIME" TAG

Hey guys, i hope you all had a great weekend whatever you got up to! So the other day whilst catching up on my YouTube subscriptions, i noticed that the beautiful Essie Button and Amelia Liana had created yet another great tag the "me time" tag and thought i would give it a go...

What do you watch or read during me-time?

I am obsessed with what it seems to be all comic book related tv shows right now like Gotham, Arrow and also Flash.

What do you wear during me-time? 

Something super comfy either a cosy jumper with leggings or pyjamas and obviously #nobra!

What are your me-time beauty products?

Obviously my trusty No7 Sauna face mask, i am yet to find a face mask that i love as much as this one.

Current favourite nail polish? 

I have recently started having my nails done professionally again with calgel on them. At the moment i have OPI Lady in Black on them with a glitter finish over the top and i am obsessed!

What do you eat/drink during me-time? 

It's all about a good hot chocolate and some sweet cinema popcorn for me!

Current favourite candle?

I am currently burning Yankee Candle's Merry Marshmallow (a little early i know but it was the only one i had left in my stash until i go shopping for more).

Do you ever have outdoor me-time? 

No particularly unless i go out shopping by myself but that's about it, i wouldn't ever fancy going for a walk in the woods by myself #scaredypants. 

Would you ever go see a movie alone? 

No i don't think i would because in the past when i have wanted to go see something at the cinema and no one else wanted to, i just waited until it was released on dvd haha.

Favourite online shop? 

This is a silly question for fashion, obviously Boohoo. Beauty though is probably Beauty Joint or Feel Unique.

Anything to add? What else do you do during me-time? 

For one to add on is listening to music with my headphones in. I am massively into music i just can't go a day without it!

THE BRITISH TAG

Hey guys, i hope you are all having a great day whatever you are up to. For today's post i thought i would have a go at "The British Tag" seeing as one i have been tagged to do so and two i am British...

1. How many cups of tea do you have a day? + How many sugars?

I only usually have one cup of tea a day if that i am a coffee person but when i do i have one sweetener.

2. Favourite part of your roast?

Yorkshire pudding without a doubt, i always save it til last.

3. Favourite dunking biscuit?

A good chocolate digestive or hob nob but they steal your drink.

4. Favourite quintessentially British pastime?

Going around London on a red double decker bus.

5. Favourite word?

There are two and they both begin with B but i will only mention one and that is bloody, the other is too explicit for this post haha.

6. Cockney rhyme slang?

I'm from the midlands so i don't use it but i know the basics like Apple and pears etc.

7. Favourite sweet?

If it's British related it's got to be a stick of rock from the seaside or fruit pastels.

8. What would your pub be called?

This is hard cause I've never really thought about it but probably something silly like The Unicorn Fluff haha i really don't know.

9. No.1 British person?

For the hottest would be either Henry Cavill or Ed Westwick. 

10. Favourite shop / restaurant?

This is a hard one for restaurant it would be The Elm Tree which is a pub/restaurant not too far from me and shop would probably be Debenhams for the high end makeup obviously.

11. What British song pops into your head?

Wannabe by The Spice Girls for some reason.

12. Marmite?

I hate it. It is so true when they say you either love it or hate it, there is just no in between.

LIPSTICK PRODUCT ADDICT TAG

Hey guys, i hope you are all having a great day whatever you are up to. For a while now i have been seeing so many people do the "lip product addict tag" which if i am correct was cleverly created by the beautiful youtubers Amelia Liana and Essie Button. So seeing as i haven't done a TAG blog post in a minute i thought i would give the tag a go myself...

(I will put swatches of all the lip products at the end).

1. Favourite Lip Balm/Treatment?

Just recently i have been obsessed with these Balmi lip balm cubes, first of all i bought the minty flavour and then the next time i went into boots i picked up the coconut one also. They are so handy just to keep in your bag and are still easy to find even though they are compact but most of all they are super hydrating.

2. Best Eye-Catching Red?

Anyone who knows me knows that i am not a Red Lipstick kind of girl, i just don't feel as if it suits me that well but saying that this red by L'Oreal does. For obvious reasons as i just said i don't have all that many red's in my collection but this is definitely my favourite.

3. Best Luxury and Best Drugstore?

MAC Snob is my favourite "Luxury" lipstick as it is such a me shade, super long lasting and amazing pigmentation as all MAC products are.

Rimmel Katie 101 is my favourite "Drugstore" lipstick and is probably my most worn lipstick (i am almost out of it). It is very similar to MAC Snob but probably a shade or two darker.

4. Best MAC Lipstick?

This is the same as for "Luxury Lipstick" it is such a me shade like i said. It always instantly cheers me up when i wear it and i always get lots of complements when i do.

5. The Most Disappointing?

I don't even have this product to show in a picture anymore as i threw it away but it is definitely the Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer. What made it more disappointing for me is that this product was so hyped up saying how amazing and long lasting they were so i was super excited to try them, but for me they didn't last long at all. I don't know whether it is just me or maybe i had a bad one, let me know?

6. Liner - Yes or No?

Hell to the YES! I love me some lip liners. I am obsessed with the Essence lip liners they are really creamy and non drying on your lips. I love to wear 06 Satin Mauve all over my lips, such a pretty colour!

7. Best Gloss?

This was actually i really easy decision for me to make for "Best Gloss" which is hands down NYX Butter Gloss in Élair but just recently i have been loving the Manhattan Colour Loop Lipgloss just as much. Both products give a really pretty finish/colour as well as tasting so so nice!

BOOTS HAUL

Hey guys, i hope you all had a great weekend whatever you were up to. So it's a new week and we now have new world cup champions Germany after the world cup final last night. What team were you routing for? I was definitely backing Germany for Europe and they have definitely been the team that has put in the best performances during the tournament. Anyway lets get down to business, today whilst i was in town i went into to boots to see if there was anything new/good deals going on and of course i picked up a couple of things. So i thought i would share with you the things i purchased and that i am excited to try out especially the "Coconut Balmi Lip Balm Cube" as they are my new obsession...

THE BEAUTY SCENARIO TAG

1) You have to get rid of all your foundations, and only keep one high end and one drugstore which do you keep?

This is easy for high end definitely my NARS Sheer Matte and for drugstore is probably L'Oreal True Match as it is my favourite foundation ever!

2) You go for an interview and the lady interviewing you has lipstick on her teeth. Do you approach the subject or ignore it completely?

It would all depend on what the person was like whether they would be grateful for you telling them or not, but i would want someone to tell me so i probably would say something.

3) You're not feeling yourself and need a pick me up. Which lipstick do you put on to make yourself feel beautiful?

It would definitely have to be someone bright, cheerful and high end like MAC Sunny Seoul.

4) You go back in time for a day to your teenage years, how would you do your hair and makeup differently?

I would not wear really thick black eye liner and not wear my hair on the side of my head!

5) You ask your hairdresser for a shoulder length Pixie Lott hair cut, but they hear wrong and give you a pixi cut. Do you a) smile, say thank you, leave call your mum hysterically b) cry in the chair and things get awkward or c) complain to the manager and demand a refund.

ALL OF THE ABOVE HAHA!

6) Your friend surprises you with a 4 day city break and you have an hour to pack. Which "Do it all palette" do you pack in your makeup bag?

Probably my BH Cosmetics day and night palette, although it wouldn't fit into my makeup bag!

7) Your house has been robbed, don't worry everyone is safe, but your beauty stash has been raided. What's the product you really hope is safe?

Probably my whole MAC collection.

8). Your friend borrows your makeup and returns it in awful condition. Do you a) just pretend you haven't noticed b) ask them to repurchase it or c) secretly do the same to theirs.

Well in the first place i would hope that my friends would always respect anything that i borrow them as if i was borrowing something that wasn't mine, i would look after it the best i could.. but i would probably ask them to repurchase it if it was really expensive.

WHAT I ATE WEDNESDAY

As usual before breakfast i have a costa coffee, this time it was just a regular one in my new Ariel mug what my best friend got me.. one of the best presents ever!!!

Then for breakfast i had some Jordans Country Crisp which is like a crunchy granola cereal, topped with Currants and Soy Milk.

For lunch i had a Toasted Ham and Sweet Chili Sauce Sandwich with Wholemeal Bread.

Then finally for dinner i had Messicani Pasta with Spinach Pesto topped with Pan Fried Lamb, Parmesan Cheese and Black Pepper... so good!!

WHAT I ATE WEDNESDAY

For breakfast i had Quaker Oats So Simple multi-grain porridge with Sultanas and Cinnamon. To drink i had Orange Juice.

For lunch i had Light Philadelphia Cheese and Turkey on a Tiger Bagel, Danone Activia Peach Yogurt (i love these as they have bits of peach in them). To drink i just had Water.

For dinner i had Tagliatelle Pasta with Sweet Peppers, Tomato and Red Chilli Sauce, topped with Black Cracked Pepper and Parmesan Cheese.

I also had some San Pellegrino Limonata aka the best Lemonade ever made, it is so good!!!

GET TO KNOW ME: BEAUTY QUESTIONS

I haven't done a TAG blog post in a little while and i seen the "31 beauty questions" TAG going around so i thought i would give it a go.

1. Do you apply your foundation with a brush, sponge, or fingers?

Usually a brush but sometimes i use my fingers.

- What foundation do you use?

At the moment L'Oreal true match in Vanilla.

2. Do you apply your eye shadow from light to dark? or dark to light?

I always apply a crease colour first then a lid colour then blend together.

3. Do you prime your eyes? For Face?

Both. Eyes i use Urban Decay primer potion and Face at the moment is Clarins beauty flash balm.

4. Concealer first, or after foundation?

Concealer after foundation always.

-  What concealer do you use?

MAC Pro long wear.

5. On average, how long does it take you to do your makeup?

If im in a hurry about 10-15 mins but if im not i can take about 40 mins to an hour.

6. Do you wear makeup everyday and everywhere?

6 days a week, i usually like to have makeup free Sunday's unless im going out.

7. What release are you most excited about? (Makeup)

Every release, makeup is just always exciting.

8. What’s your weakness? Shoes, purses, clothes, jewelry, eye shadow  lipstick or other?

All of the listed things haha.

9. Do you whiten your teeth?

No i just use whitening toothpaste.

10. Wax eyebrows, or pluck?

Pluck.

11. What do you use to contour?

Topshop bronzer in sandcastle.

12. False lashes, or natural?

Natural unless im going out somewhere special then falsies.

13. Favourite makeup brand?

How can you even choose just one.

14. Liquid eyeliner, pencil or gel?

Felt eyeliner.

15. Lipstick, lip-gloss or chap-stick?

Lipstick.

- What is your favourite lipstick?

How can you choose that either, i have about 458048502803 lipsticks, well not quiet that many haha!

16. Pigments, pressed or cream eye shadow?

Pressed eye shadows.

17. If you had to wear only one thing, excluding foundation; what would it be?

Mascara.

18. Favourite colour?

I always say pink but i'm really into anything black and white.

19. Favourite colour combination?

At the moment i have been loving wearing bronze shadow with a cranberry colour. 

20. Natural? or Dramatic? (Eye Makeup)

Both (all depends on the occasion).

21. Do you care more for quality or name brand?

Quality.

22. Did you ever consider taking makeup classes?

I already did a makeup class.

I can't stand makeup HAHAHA JOKING i'm obsessed obviously

Twice, morning and then night time.

Normal/Dry on occasion.

Yes.

Elemis skin glow face wash (it's an exfoliating one).

At the moment im using Clarins hydraquench cream.

I use The Body Shop Elderflower eye gel.

WHAT'S IN MY HANDBAG

I love looking at other bloggers and youtuber's "what's in my handbag" posts and videos as let's face it who doesn't love having a good nosey in someone's bag. I have been meaning to do this blog post for a while now ever since i changed up my handbag. So to cut a long story short, here is the contents of my bag...

Since before last month.. i'd say for around 18 months i had been carrying around my trusty River Island handbag and even now there is still nothing wrong with it, i just fancied a change. So i decided to pick up this one from Just Fab online and i am so glad i did, it's such a spacious bag and as it's black it pretty much goes with every outfit. I love the gold detailing on the front and the material of the bag is really good quality. I would definitely recommend taking a look on the site as they have some really nice shoes/boots and accessories available and are reasonably priced, my particular tote bag is only £35.

Inside My Bag: Beauty Items

1. Soap & Glory Hand Food - i literary can't go anywhere without this stuff.

2. Beyoncé Heat Perfume - i am obsessed with this perfume, it smells so nice.

3. The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Lip Butter - cause nobody likes getting chapped lips especially in this cold winter weather, so i like to keep them moisturized.

4. L'Oreal Lumi Magique Highlight Pen in Light - i like to keep this in my bag just in case my under eye areas need a quick pick me up and brightening.

5. Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent - i always carry this trusty powder just to touch up my face during the day in any shiny areas.

6. The Body Shop Mango Hand Cleansing Gel - i carry hand gel anywhere and everywhere i go, as i tend to be a really bad germaphobe and this one smells amazing.

7. Revlon Lip Butter in Sugar Frosting - i like to apply this if i want a little bit of colour as well as to hydrate my lips throughout the day/evening.

8. MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Creme D'Nude - cause we always have to carry a nude lipstick it is just essential and necessary.

As of late i am really proud of myself for only carrying around 3 lip products, cause before my handbag tended to be a place full of different lipsticks/lipglosses that i didn't even know was there.

Inside My Bag: Random Items

9. Floral 2014 Diary - i always keep this diary with me just in case i want to write down any dates or different ideas for blog posts and etc.

10. Wrigley's Extra Gum - just because who doesn't carry gum in their handbag.

11. My Keys - to get in and out of my car and house obviously, i love my little miss princess key chain that my sister got for my not too long ago.

12. iPhone Headphones - i swear this pair is actually indestructible, they are always getting tangled up and just thrown to the bottom of my bag.

13. French Connection Purse - i got this new purse around the same time as my new handbag for a steal in the sale on ASOS and is such a classic.

GOODBYE 2013 AND HELLO 2014

So we have reached the end of 2013. This year has been an up and down year for me, starting off down and ending with me being in a much better place than i was than when the year began.. which is a good thing. This year i feel like i have spent a lot of time trying to find who i am as a person (which sounds cheesy but it's the truth). I felt as if i was lost at the beginning of the year and didn't really know anymore what and who i wanted to be but i can honestly say without going into too much detail that i have finally found what and who makes my life so much better for me. I can honestly say that i am proud of myself for finally plucking up the courage to start a blog and put to use some of the things i have worked hard at to help me do this.

I am not one to usually do new years resolutions (as i never stick to them) but i have set myself some this year and i am willing to try my very best to stick to them.

1. Work hard and stay focused.

2. Stay positive and find a positive note in most situations.

3. Read more.

4. Be more organized.

5. Just have fun and be happy.

Twice, once in the morning and once at night.

2) What type of skin do you have?

Normal.

I use two - The Body Shop pomegranate softening facial wash in the morning and then Boots no7 beautiful skin foaming cleanser at night.

Yes

5) What brand do you use?

Boots no7 purifying sauna mask.

6) What moisturizer do you use?

I always liked to swap and change each time i have used it up cause i still haven't found one i really love. At the moment i am using Nivea daily essentials day cream and then L'Oreal youth code night recovery cream.

7) Do you have freckles?

No.

8) Do you use eye cream?

Yes i am currently using Vichy liftactiv eyes.

9) Do you or did you have acne prone skin?

No i only get the odd pimple now and again.

10) Did you ever use ProActiv?

No.

11) What foundation do you use at the moment?

L'Oreal nude magique.

12) How about concealer?

 Collection 16 hour lasting perfection, IT'S MY FAVE!

13) Do you know your undertone colour?

I'm not 100% but i think i am just Neutral.

14) What do you think of False Eyelashes?

I love them for a night out or something fancy but i don't bother on a day to day basis.

15) Did you know you are suppose to change your mascara every three months?

I sure did.

16) What brand of mascara do you use?

At the moment it's the L'Oreal mega volume black smoke.

17) Sephora or MAC?

MAC as we don't have Sephora in the UK.

18) Do you have a MAC pro-card?

No.

19) What makeup tools do you use to apply your makeup?

I mainly use Real Techniques brushes and MUA ones.

20) Do you use makeup base or primer for the eyes?

Yes, Urban Decay primer potion.

21) For the face?

Revlon photo-ready primer.

22) What is your favourite eye shadow? (colour or shade)

Urban Decay's sin and chopper.

23) Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?

Liquid or felt liner.

24) How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?

Hardly ever, only now and again.

25) What do you think of pigment eye shadow?

I like it now and again but i would choose pressed any day.

26) Do you use mineral makeup?

No.

27) What's your favourite lipstick?

NYX peach bellini.

28) How about lipgloss?

My favourite is a newer purchase and it is Too Faced sweet sun shines in the shade mocha.

29) What's your favourite blush?

Benefit coralista.

30) Do you buy makeup on Ebay?

Hell no i heard someone went blind from buying mascara on eBay and it was really black paint.

31) Do you go to CCO's?

Never heard of it.

32) Did you consider taking makeup classes?

I already have.

33) Are you clumsy at putting makeup on?

No not really.

34) Name a makeup crime that you hate?

Flashbacks on photos.

35) Do you prefer neutral shades or colorful shades of makeup? (eyes and lips)

Everyday definitely neutral but for something different i love me some colour.

36) Which celebrity always has great makeup?

All the Kardashian/Jenner girls!

37) If you could leave the house with just one makeup item on, what would you use?

Concealer.

38) Could you leave the house without makeup on?

I don't usually ever leave the house without makeup on but i probably would on a good skin day.

39) Do you think you look good without makeup on?

I wouldn't say good or bad to be honest. 

40) What do you think of makeup?

WE ARE BEST FRIENDS!!! I just enjoy collecting different products and trying them out, there is just something so therapeutic about applying your makeup.
